  1. I think we all should be concerned with the monopolization of the gaming world because Microsoft and Amazon are on that path. Then Meta getting in on it makes those big three a force that is going to cost us all a lot more to game in the future. It's never a good idea when a corporation can buy up who they want and eliminate competition, at the same time being a publisher and make consoles. And when the gaming world gets consolidated, you get more anti unionization which worsens the work environment, and then as a consumer you have to be even more aware of where corporate lobbying money is going. The gaming world sure is ripe for power grabs and exploitation because it's a profitable industry especially since Covid has actually boosted that market with more gamers.

  2. One of the biggest concerns for FFXIV players is the often long-winding process of completing Main Scenario Quests, or MSQ for short. FFXIV's story is a delight to experience, but the trouble with the game's MSQ is that it involves a plethora of sequential quests that must be completed in a linear fashion. This means you can't take on another part of MSQ without finishing pre-requisite quests firsts. This has been a point of frustration for newer players because some may just want to get into the action of FFXIV without going through a tedious questline; in which case, they may be setting themselves up for disappointment because FFXIV deals with its story a lot. Part of the FFXIV grand experience is its rich story and events. While players may use an FFXIV mount to get from point A to point B, main quests will still require you as a player to defeat mobs of enemies or bosses at key parts of it. Alternatively, players may choose to get an FFXIV account that has already completed the story so they can just choose to do the Bahamut Coil raids — the Bahamut Coil represents the biggest challenge in the game and is an absolute blast to experience and a worthy obstacle to finish, and not everyone gets to finish it. What do you think of the game's MSQ so far? Will Endwalker do a good job of tidying things up for it?

  5. Careful. You're starting an unfounded attack and offering no proof of any kind. If you have to attack someone in this fashion either do it in the political debate forum, or do it somewhere else. Also, stay on topic. This is directed at both of you @Reality vs Adventure and @Empire. Duke it out in the debate forum.

  6. Yeah, it is basically a form of cryptocurrency. The only difference is than an NFT is non-transferable as if it were selling a good. And you do indeed hold a receipt for a (digital) good, but you don't really own it in a traditional sense, but you can sell it. Like most shady business things it's deliberately vague, yet also complicated.

  7. Exactly, that's what they should have been doing but sometimes they seem to act as if their head is in their ass with some of the polices they make use of.

  8. I had wondered how a game based on The Boys would work. An interesting idea, I could quite easily see it being an open world sandbox akin to Prototype. I've not seen the show, but the original comics didn't exactly inspire any thoughts of it being a video game save for a 2D brawler or other fighting game sub-genre.

  9. Most old games that were made well always leave that long lasting impression on you and always fun whenever you play it again. Just like The Legend of Zelda.

I think that I have a friend who wanted to sell his own some years ago. Let me see if he still wants to sell it and if it's possible to ship it from his location to yours.

  15. A new Story Trailer just came out for Horizon Forbidden West and their is a fair amount to unpack from it: Eurogamer also did a breakdown of the trailer. (Contains Spoilers for Horizon Zero Dawn) https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2022-01-19-horizon-forbidden-west-just-got-a-brand-new-trailer-heres-a-detailed-breakdown I've got some ideas of my own. Since it's Sylens who gives Regalla and her Tenakth rebels the ability to control machines HADES must be involved with the blight that killing the flora and fauna. Possibly by hijacking GAIA'S terraforming functions DEMETER and perhaps others the same way that HEPHAESTUS hijacked CYAN in The Frozen Wilds. I also think the plot might revolve around restoring GAIA and her subordinate functions to working order to stop and reverse the effect of the blight. Their going to do this by finding the knowledge inside APOLLO. An alpha version of APOLLO was on the doomed Odyssey space craft project that may have survived the purge done by Ted Faro. I think now Aloy and Sylens are now effectively in a race to find it. This is where this new character Tilda is going to come into play. This is definitely going to be interesting! I'm really looking forward to this!

  17. Red Bull tastes like goblin piss. Also energy drinks affect my heart. It starts getting into an irregular rhythm and racing extremely fast. My whole body starts shaking, I get dizzy, and my equilibrium is completely gone. The only thing I can do is lay flat wherever I'm at and have a seizure. Oh, and as for Red Bull, since the one time I tried it, I still haven't grown my wings. Anyone think I have a lawsuit for false advertising? As dumb a lawsuit as that would be, there have been some that were a lot dumber. Like the jackass that tried to sue himself for I don't know how many million.

  20. An atheist wouldn't really fall under either, as it's more a denial of religion. Atheists believe there is no god, so there is no religion there. They're kinda off in their own group. They're alongside Agnostics. They don't deny the possibility, but at the same time say there is no proof. Satanism is a bit like Atheism, but instead is an actual a religion with practices, holidays, and traditions. I know this because I am Satanic.

  21. I personally gave up on blizzard with WoW. It was a horrendous game in my opinion, and was showing me just how far they were sliding down the shit pile. The last game they put out that was even worth consideration of buying was Diablo II. While they obviously have other titles, Activision seems to almost focus on CoD titles exclusively. I understand that it's a wildly successful franchise, but their attempts to branch out with Tony Hawk and Skylanders is sub par at best. And for those of us who can't play war/military games, they don't have much of anything to offer. If Microsoft thinks they can make a dollar and/or save Activision/Blizzard then I say go for it. It may come back to bite them in the ass, but either way I hope they learn from it. And with the monopoly discussion, I do have to agree. It seems they're trying to get as close to a monopoly as they legally can. They'll never get their hands on longtime exclusives like Mario and Zelda. Nintendo would burn them to the ground before they would let anyone else have them. They already made that mistake with disastrous results. PlayStation isn't going to release GoW without one hell of a fight either. My biggest worry here, is that at some point they will acquire Take-Two, and thus Rockstar. My thoughts on Rockstar as well known here, and I don't want to see one of my favorite franchise's end up as an Xbox exclusive.

  22. Some chairs are made better, some are just awful. Last chair I used was an office chair I got from a thrift store. I think it was just too stiff and due to sitting for long hours, it would start to bother me. But once I got my andaseat one, it hasn't bugged me much. I still get some pain, but it's more to do with how I was sitting and how long.

  24. The 12 steps in Alcoholics Anonymous are spiritual principles. It gives guidance and humility in a powerless situation. You really can't change your life without embracing spirituality and that has nothing to do with organized religion, although some may even embrace it. Spirituality to me is the energies of nature.

    It's my 40th today.

"Ah, shit." is even more mild in my ears that "Ah, fuck." or "Ah, fuck me". It's more or less like the word culture for them these days because I'm very sure that they make use of such diction at home.

  28. There's only one thing about that RDR2 trailer that confuses me. It's at the end. "Product not yet rated." Who the hell didn't see this game getting an M rating? Seriously? There wasn't any sexual content that was graphic enough way to warrant an AO rating, and it's got way too much to only get a T rating. What dumbass was on the fence about it?

  31. You 3 need to understand that this whole controversy is a foreign country subverting U.S. Yes, the allegations are horrendous, but it could've been avoided if they hadn't taken money from a certain country, which is China... none of this would've happened. 1. Activision has relationships with Tencent. Likewise, THEY bought shares in Activision. 2. Activision created a Shanghai division. 3. California law requires you to have an "inclusive" executive. Here's the link if you don't believe me. This is akin to having a CCP member inside companies that operates in China.. 4. There's a law called "Senate Bill 145" in California. It allows for sexual misconduct to go really, really low. I'm not going to say it out loud here. You're gonna have to find it yourself. This is why the PlayStation executive was fired. 5. Some Activision employees have ties with Riot Games. Connect the dots and you'll realize that all this stuff is because people aren't paying attention to what's going on. Microsoft can easily clean all of it up. I wrote an article about this recently, but I won't link here because I don't know how @DC feels about it. Anyway, next time... don't react to stupid controversy like this, its OBVIOUS that this is subversion.

  35. I understand your confusion. Reading any attempt at an explanation of what an NFT is reads like something written by a snake oil salesman. But, I'll do my best to explain it. I don't claim to be an expert on this, so take this with a grain of salt. An NFT (Non-Fungable Token) is a block of data that essentially serves as a receipt for a digital good that says you own said good, except you don't, at least not in the traditional sense. The same digital good and associated NFT can be replicated over and over and nobody who "owns" the NFT can control the distribution of the digital good it's tied to, but NFTs can be re sold and used like a Blockchain currencys, like bitcoin. The only real difference between NFT's and Blockchain currencys is that that NFTs are not interchangeable (Non-Fungable) with other Blockchain currencys. NFT's are sold as they are, so it's kind of like stock in that way. Like all Blockchain currencys and cryptocurrencys, NFTs use the internet and computer power to re-authenticate constantly to the original distributer of the NFT. The more people and power overall being used to authenticate the NFT, the higher it's value. That's the best I can do. If anyone has a correct to make or something to add please let me know.

  36. Crypto people think it would be hard to replicate it on the web. Worst part is that crypto people are stealing legit artist content and selling it as NFT and rich whales in market buying them and filing lawsuit on legit creators.

  37. Vanguard has been messy in many places, but news of Modern Warfare 2 coming before the first season is even over is attrocious. I wasn't compelled to buy much in the first place but now I'm certain. I'll save my remaining CoD points, enough to buy the Season pass bundle, for that game. If I'm still playing CoD by that time. And much as I have enjoyed the latest three instalments, I don't think an upcoming game is going to fix the problems that have plagued the current. This reeks of desperation. We also have to consider the Microsoft acquisition too. Who knows how that's going to shake up development... and the store. If it's anything like the woes Halo Infinite players have expressed with that game's storefront, not unlike Anthem's, then there's troubles ahead. Then again their Battle Pass will probably improve if it does take on 343 Industries' model. Swings and roundabouts, as they say.

The only traffic I really hate is on the road. I have a real problem with road rage. Otherwise, I don't care. Except here. More traffic = more members. More members = more posts. More posts = more knowledge. More knowledge = more opinions. It's a win-win in every way that I can see, as long as the members aren't shit stirrers, or spammers. If they're legitimately here for a love of gaming, they will most likely only be a plus for the forum.

  40. You would play as one of the new recruit in the boys. You would discover early in the game that you are a supe (or take compound V), you would have skill tree and unlock more powers and you would fight Vought henchmen at first, and then supe bosses, henchmen with compound V etc and then you would rescue the rest of the boys or some shit

  42. I haven’t started Endwalker yet but friends have told me it is very short. I just wonder how they will keep players playing. Probably going to roll out an expansion. I like how FF14 is playing out. For new players they can buy class level ups and scenario skips so they can jump to the newest main quest.
