  1. I'm sure a lot of contests like this occur today, but I was reminded of many contests I tried to enter as a kid. Collecting all the points on the back of the koolaid packets, that you had to collect to get prizes. I would try so hard to collect these points to get a prize from their catalog of prizes. I remember one year they were giving away a Gameboy Color for a certain amount of points collected. I never reached the amount needed sadly. I think I got a hat and a tshirt from there, so I didn't leave empty handed. Honestly I'm kinda interested in finding some of these pamphlets and catalogs of prizes just to have that nostalgia trip. This right here: I used to collect those off the back of kool-aid packs just so I could get my hands on a gameboy. DId you guys ever get prizes like this from programs like that? What other games did you get? I got a Who wants to be a Millionaire PC game one year from lifesavers. We thought we won a car, sent the candy in and got the game instead. Parents never took a photo of it either, so we got screwed over I think. But yeah, these programs had so many video games and gaming devices. Sadly I never got any. 😞

  2. For the price they paid, I'm sure it will be their last purchase for a little while. Close to $70 billion out of their wallets, that's a big chunk of change. Just makes you wonder how much Microsoft and Xbox combined are worth in profits. It's gotta be up there if they can throw around nearly $70 billion.

  3. Well this topic is a tad bit dated due to the year it started. But that's okay. I'll go with the current generation, and I think the best that has yet to come out, I haven't even played it yet, but I think people are claiming it's Deathloop as the best so far. What do you guys think?

  4. A State of Play is coming up very soon (early February from what I've heard) and it's been rumoured that Sony, among other things, will announce their own version of game pass for PlayStation platforms.

  7. Seriously, there are some gamers that would remove everything just to make sure they are able to complete the game.

  8. Most Assassin's Creed did have some great locations in the game. Also I think Spiderman presented New York City very well.

  9. Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, and Mario Bros are some of the most impactful games. They led the way into games as we know them today. DK gave us Mario Bros. Mario Bros gave us SMB. Pac-Man gave us top down views instead of side scrolling views. There's also Galaga which paved the way for space shooters. Q*Bert helped open the world of puzzle games. A lot of my favorites, and a lot of gateway games.

  10. Of the games I've played, I would say FF8. The opening sequence takes forever.

    Favorite classic MMOs?

Ignoring the obvious like everquest, WOW. I wonder if the mobile based "clash of clans" would fit in "classic" category these days.
