    Brand based games

Branded games are basically advertisements in game format, they are games designed to promote a commercial brand. Not to be confused with games that feature licensed brands. Have you played any game like this, and were they any good?

    Sony Bought Bungie

@Techno It's apricated when you post topics in "Gaming News" to link to an article of media detailing the story so it verifiable. No big deal, but I ask that you try and remember to do this in future. Here's a article from Eurogamer I found on the subject. Well yeah, Sony did indeed have to do something to assure thier shareholders that they weren't getting swamped by XBox's growing market share after buying Activision-Blizzard. Not gonna lie, I didn't see this coming and irony is not lost me given that Bungie were the original developers of Xbox's most iconic franchise, but outside that I just hope this isn't part of a plan to make Destiny a PlayStation exclusive because that will not end well. It's not a good franchise, they're not good games and it won't be worth it. PlayStation would make far better use of Bungie if they were to let them develop something else.

  6. Yeah, that's very correct. As much as some people don't like deserts in real life, it's something that thrills me. It's one of places I enjoyed when I visited Dubai last year.

  7. Mate I've been playing violent games for years now, and there are only three dead bodies in my basement. Cleary if video games made someone violent I would have more dead bodies in the basement.

  8. If I'm not mistaken, that research has been debunked. While it's possible that a very small minority of gamers might be affected in such a way, the vast majority know the difference. And games like Hatred, which is the type you're referencing, often do more good than harm. For example in my case, most of the time I just want to go out and hurt someone. It doesn't matter who. Anyone will do. Or just grab a few guns and start shooting everything that moves. How do I let my bloodlust out and no one gets hurt? I play Hatred.

  10. My religious background was also forced catholicism. I saw the hypocrisy when I was a toddler. I let my own convictions and beliefs define me from there, and learned later on that they align with Satanism. I have always been a metalhead, and my musical tastes have reflected my beliefs and convictions.

  11. At long last, the title to my Camaro has been found! My best friend came over last night to help clean and search, and she found the god damn thing! After months of being in panic mode, I can finally license my car, and start to enjoy it. (so this is what it's like to breathe again) I was about ready to have both a heart attack and an aneurysm at the same damn time. It has a tiny little bit more work to do in the shop, but after that, I'm going for a ride all over town. But no gravel roads. And she gets premium. None of that lower octane shit. I will be waxing her and using Armor All on her all the time. Under no circumstance whatsoever will food or drink be allowed inside her except for me having a soda or water. Fuck everyone else. BUT I FINALLY HAVE HER BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. It's not "solutions trying to find problems", it's just creating problems that shouldn't exist. NFT's are just yet another money stream for these publishers. If you ask me it's actually worse than micro-transactions. Not only is it manipulative and exploitive on the part of the publisher but it opens the door end users to participate in shady MLM schemes. It's deeply worrying and totally irresponsible for any publisher to back these.

  13. I don't really think that checking out for bugs is part of their jobs description but only if the game is playable.

    Overclocking

Based on what I know the truth is the complete opposite. Overclocking does not serve much practical purpose anymore, especially where CPU's and gaming performance are concerned. Now the uploader is "boasting" a 20 - 30fps difference from a 700Mhz overclock. They probably just didn't want to wound their own pride but the truth is most of the time the overclock makes little to no difference at all. Keep in mind as well that video is 4 years old and since most newer games are GPU intensive I'd bet that overclocking the CPU would even less of a difference now. Overclocking the GPU doesn't make that much difference either but it is better and safer, even with just a standard factory overclock: When it comes to memory the best idea is to run it at the speed and timings it's rated at, no more no less. Otherwise you might run to stability issues.

  18. I hate it when games force you into situations. Like walking into obvious traps, knowing fully well that it is a trap, but the game does not allow you to avoid it.

  19. I hate it when I'm forced to solve puzzles in a game which isn't like a puzzle-like kind of game. I never enjoyed solving puzzles, that's why I don't play puzzle games.
