    Hi

Hi everyone 🙂 I'm not the youngest gamer at 46, but I do love gaming. Looking forward to meeting you all.

    Hi

Welcome to VGR. Don't be concerned about your age, I feel that can only add to what you bring to the community. Anything you want to ask, please do.

  4. A father buys a lie detector robot that slaps people when they lie. He decides to test it out at dinner one night. The father asks his son what he did that afternoon. The son says, "I did some schoolwork." The robot slaps the son. The son says, “Okay. I was at a friend's house watching movies." Dad asks, "What movie did you watch?" Son says, "Toy Story." The robot slaps the son again. Son says, “Okay, we were watching Stormy Daniels movies." Dad says," What? At your age I didn't even know what dirty movies were." The robot slaps the father. Mom laughs and says, "Well, he certainly is your son." The robot slaps the mother. Robot for sale.

  5. I think these days with fortnite and other games, it's easier for kids to get addicted to games. I feel like my nephew may be addicted. For example, he comes over almost every weekend, but all he ends up doing is playing video games on my xbox or on my PC. I allow him, but I've been trying to cut him off a bit from gaming as we'd prefer if he hung out with family instead of spending all his time glued to a screen. Part of me loves that he's heavily invested in video games, because I too love video games. But seeing him disconnect from the world is kinda depressing. So yeah, I've decided that when he does come over, he's going to take more breaks and I'm going to cut him off at a certain time.

  9. I actually thought the ‘dude’ comment was in reference to me as I thought you were joking about my ‘flowers and butterflies’ comment, like “what’s this dude talking about?” 🤪It was one big mix up.

  10. You're taking this too far, like I said, it's high time we let this go for sanity here. You're a real man!!! This is what I looked forward to. Thanks and case closed 🔐.

  11. I'm not asking for an apology or anything, that's not me. Probably, there was a misunderstanding and yes, like I made it clear that I wasn't referring to her per say. Hell, I have gotten along with her for a while we have been here and never had an issue with her, so I wonder why I would want to change that all of a sudden with misappropriation of sex? It doesn't make any sense at all. With that being said, I'm burying the matter at this point. @The BlackangelI never called you a he or a man alright, it's all one big fog based on the quote and replies. Hope we are good?

  12. If you don't know the best thing to do is politely ask. I know it's kinda awkward but it's hell of a lot better than the mess that's going right now.

  14. I think Capcom has delayed the DLC for RE8. I'm eager to see what the heck it's about, but they haven't posted any updates since E3 last summer. Meanwhile... I think this may interest some people who love RE4. https://www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2022/2/1/22911418/resident-evil-4-hd-project-remaster-release-date-install-download

  15. Let Capcom not follow in the complete footsteps of EA company ruining what they've built. Because, EA is simply on the steady drop down from the top.

  17. That would be the Arabians. They're beyond stupid, will fuck up many things, and make you have to retry missions from the previous checkpoint. If it wasn't for everything else, I wouldn't bother with them. But the issue is that after you've had an Arabian in the game, you won't be able to ride anything else. They just don't compare in any way.

  18. @Rain Dew and I still need a few more pieces of equipment, but when we have all we need, we're doing an overnight paranormal investigation of the Missouri State Penitentiary. It was closed in 2004, but is open to tours and paranormal investigators. I've been investigating the paranormal since before I knew her, and now she comes with me. I have decades of experience with the dark/evil side of things, and she is trying to learn the biz.

  20. There will always be wack music in all the soundtracks used in making a particular game. It's something that I have seen on more than one occasion.

  21. You should be actually kind of encouraged by this deal. With Activision-Blizzard owned by Microsoft it's only a matter of time untill the Call of Duty games are piled into Gamepass.

  22. The truth of the matter is that some music can't be ignored no matter what but then again, there are some that really sucks big time.

  23. The relationship between them is very small in my opinion. I wouldn't mind not having the music because it's something that I can easily supplement with outside songs.

  24. That's true, I wouldn't allow the sound of the music to overshadow the sound of the gameplay. I love hearing the game's radar and other background sounds.

  25. Yeah, I do like soundtracks but it doesn't mean that I would choose it over the gameplay. It doesn't tally for me at all.

  26. That's cool, your MP3 can offer you that, even your mobile phone. If you have compat disc, it will go a long way too.

  27. I wouldn't say music is better or worse than gaming. I like music in most games. But, there are some games with awful music, so I often turn it down or off. Most games soundtracks add to the game. I'd argue that Red Dead Redemption or RDR2 are better because of the soundtracks. They add to the tension, the action, the acting. Same thing with Silent Hill 2. You need that screeching, haunting music, otherwise you don't always feel the game you're playing. Music in games heightens things. At least when it makes sense. Some game music can be awful. But I wouldn't say that I like music more or less than games. I'd say they both stand on their own. I like both. I like music when I want it and I like to game when I can too.

  28. The vast majority of my games, I play silently. I turn the volume all the way down so it's completely silenced. In all honesty, the ONLY game I can think of that I don't play in silence is RDR2. I keep the sound on for it. But that one has so much dialogue, it's kinda pointless to try to play the game without the sound on. Now if we're talking music like Disturbed, Whitesnake, Poison, White Lion, Cinderella, Damn Yankees, and so on, then yes I LOVE LOVE LOVE music more than gaming.

  31. What you just said is the reality scene. We can't do without music, music is man. We can create music in anyway just as you've mentioned 'tapping the fingers on a desk which forms sound. Even when I'm playing games I love hearing the sound of the background music or in-game soundtracks.
