  2. I didn't doubt for one second that the D-Pad and that the mouse in general was fully functional, my point was that there is really on two reasons to buy this instead of a normal mouse; For collectors who will likely keep it in the box and never use it. For people who want to emulate NES games on PC, and for them there are better options, like this sort of thing down below. So in the end, I'd say you're right, it's just for aesthetics and serves little purpose other that that.

  3. Something that was unbelievable happened. I never could have thought such a thing was possible, and neither did @Rain Dew. She got me into online gaming. I’m playing FFXIV. She’s training me so that I know what the hell I’m doing, but once I have the game down, we’ll be on there a lot.

  4. I had a pretty good gaming year for 2020. I got a ps4 the summer of 2019, but I have played the best games and had the best immersion in adventures this year. Those top games being AC Odyssey, AC Origins, Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and others. I tried VR Oculus for the first time. Never before have I been this much into gaming and it continues to grow on me in a good way. For 2021 I'm looking forward to finishing those large games I have and beginning new ones. I know AC Valhalla is going to be a big one for me this coming year. I have Cyberpunk 2077, but I'll wait for a couple more updates before I get into it. Sure that will be a big one too. There are quite a few ps3 games I want to finish including the Dead Space series and Mass Effect. I wonder what new games I will decide to get in 2021. I'm excited for all the new adventures.

  5. Remedy just announced that they are working on a full scale remake (not remaster) it will be made with the Northlight game engine the same that was use for Control and Quantum Break. The sad part is that we dont know if it will be for PS4 or xbox one yet but most likely we will not see this game in a while. Im a big fan of Max Payne, I loved the second game, felt like a novel. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/remedy-is-remaking-max-payne-1-and-2-for-pc-ps5-and-xbox-series-x-s/1100-6502260/

  6. Is this real? Not yet. The warehouse in Staten Island New York voted and won the unionization of the warehouse. Amazon is against unionization and has done much to prevent this. They are also going to file an objection to the vote and probably end up re-voting to allow Amazon pull a republican trick and suppress it. But for now, New York is the first ever Amazon warehouse to unionize. Benefits of labor unions: A labor union enables us to exercise the right of collective bargaining: with a union we can negotiate our wages, benefits, and working conditions for the first time at Amazon. A union also offers protection, democratic decision-making, and mutual support and solidarity. Way to go New York! https://www.amazonlaborunion.org

    Ikai

It's about time that switch has got any decent horror game catalog. Slowly new games are coming out in there. Ikai looks pretty cool on that part.

    We got one

We got a PS5 today. I bought it as a gift for @Rain Dew. Someone was selling one on Craigslist. The guy said he got it thinking he would play on it, but his heart was in PC gaming. So I pawned one of my guns, and we went and got it. It’s a disc capable version. Obviously. But we finally got one. So we’re caught up with the new gen of games. We just want an Xbox Series X instead of the Series S that we have. The guy included some games since he wasn’t going to need them. Spiderman Miles Morales, Nioh, and Nioh 2. We’re looking forward to playing this thing.

  10. I loved playing Zelda: OOT on the 3DS, it's actually the best version of the game. Better graphics that the original and that feature that flipped all the levels around brought new life into the game.

    Fortnite in 2021

I've jumped into Fortnite again after finding out about the no build modes. It's actually quite fun again. It still feels a bit weird because they've added so many things to the game that it's completely different to what I used to play. But there are some very cool things in the game now. Very fun without the building aspect as well.

  12. It's annoying but I think now is a fair time to start moving on to the new generation consoles. It's important to remember that the same thing happened to both the 360 and PS3 with other games. Eventually, games are not going to be released for them.

    Hi!

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie and I'm glad to e-meet you. How are you? I like old PlayStation games and their remastered PC versions as well as short funny IO games. And you?

  14. This game is awesome! Some chick and an old guy get caught up in a Mushroomhead pit! For some reason they don't seem to like it and instead walk across America looking for bugs or something. (The Last of Us)

Been about 10 hours in watch dogs 2. it's pretty good don't know why i failed to stick with the game a couple of years ago, but damn the world feels so alive , yesterday i noticed a woman beating her husbands car with a bat because she discovered he cheated on her. I had a guy giving me a punch because i toke a selfie and he was in it i guess. I think this may be the best open world i've seen from ubisoft so far despite the game being over 5 years old, map isen't too big either. Good likeable side characters aswell.

  20. For nostalgia purposes and because it's affordable, I can see some people getting this. It is a curious piece indeed.

  21. It looks neat, I won't lie, but as others have said I can't see it being practical. Side-buttons on gaming mice are stiff enough as is; to try moving with them in a game whilst contending with the main buttons, I'd not bother with it. Thanks for sharing, this is a rather curious piece!

    Why is PC less popular?

Of course a games console is an unnecessary device. It's an arbitrary piece of technology that only has one purpose, to entertain. So obviously, nobody needs one. But my question to you @skyfire is, what exactly is your point? It's like if your dad came up to you said, "Hey! I had your mum!". Can't argue with that, but it doesn't exactly prove anything either, at least noting we didn't already know. And remember, it's no like gaming PC's and gaming laptops are not just as arbitrary because the tech they need to run games (at least modern games) is not necessary for that device to work as a utility. For example, a computer will work fine without a GPU even being installed. Nor does it need the kind of powerful and vastly more expensive CPU's, RAM, cooling systems etc that gaming computers use. I'm willing to say that a computer is something that's necessary for a lot of people in modern day life, but nobody needs thier computer to built to the specks of a gaming PC. That is unnecessary in exactly the same way you describe a games console. People only "overbuild" thier computers like that for one reason, to enable thier device to serve the single purpose of arbitrary, self-entertainment and nothing more, just like a games console. There is no other reason to that. And before anybody says it, yes, some professionals do need powerful computers for thier jobs, like in graphical design or programming, so there are expectations. I'm talking about the needs computers serve as a utility to the vast majority.

  26. It's why I find it not helpful to wait for too long. I'm the one that's got all the games and leave them unplayed. They need to be attended to.

  30. I don't know about Canva being a video Editor - it's pretty good for photo editing though and creating YouTube banners. The one that I use is Camtasia and although it isn't exactly beginner friendly, it gets the job done. Since I've never used Hitfilm Express, I couldn't offer any advice in regards on how to use it but I can provide some general tips: Keep three copies of everything you create in 2 different locations on you machine and one on an external hard drive. It's called the 321 rule and it has saved me a bunch of times when I accidentally deleted something I was working on. Watch some tutorials on YouTube. Look for beginner-friendly people who specialize in using the software you're interested in. FXHome is a good place to start - I do watch some of their videos for some inspiration. It's important to learn some very crucial terms such as Jcut which is the audio preceding the video. (you'll catch these after a month or so).

    Ikai

I was just pointing that out because gaming developers tend to stick with one predominant theme throughout an entire game. Ikai in Japanese means admonish, warn or prohibit so it's a very suitable name for a Japanese-themed horror game.

  34. OK, I do look at that and feel a very satisfying surge of nostalgia, but it's hardly practical. There are better ways to interact with emulated NES games on a PC if that was the purpose.
