OK, time to hit the breaks. This thread has been of topic for quite long enough now. This was supposed to be about League of Legends: Wild Rift, not Fortnite or whether or not people know what a loot box is. @kingpotato, this is your thread and you are helping keeping this thread of the rails. I would expect the OP to try and keep things on topic, but if anything the opposite is true here. If you want to discuss these other "issues" with people such as @Justin11 or anybody else, do so in a PM or in a more appropriate thread please. I understand why you're frustrated here, but you handled this badly and I expect better from you. And @Heatman and @Justin11, in the future if you see a thread go off the rails, don't join in with the the derailed conversation, it's only going to make it worse. Also @Heatman, I must point out that this actually started with you and this post here; When @Justin11 mentioned Fortnite in post you quoted, it was in reference. He said he was reminded of Fortnite by the trailer, so that's still on topic, but your post had no connection to the subject of the thread at all. And it was then @Justin11's misinformed quote of this where the trouble started. If you hadn't made the 100% irrelevant post, none of this would have happened. You have got to think things through. Just because somebody references Fortnite in a LoL thread, it is not an invite to steer the conversation towards Fortnite and solely Fortnite. And we all saw the consequences. This is why it's import to stay on topic and just think for a moment before you post.2 points

Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO "Expect More Aquisitions"
Withywarlock reacted to Crazycrab for a topic
As the OP I feel I need to step in. The same points are getting repeated and were starting to drift a little off topic. This is about Sony's current and potential future acquisitions. I'm not saying the latest points about monopolisation and competition are totally off the rails but the points have been made several times. I would appreciate it if future posts could contribute with a new point or at a new perspective of current points.1 point -
What do you like about winter?

To answer the question in the thread title, nothing. Absolutely nothing. Winter is cold, wet, dark, expensive and even dangerous, there is noting to like.1 point

You're very correct. Epic Games used to have loot boxes but they have it removed from the game and settled gamers. https://www.theverge.com/2021/2/22/22295676/epic-games-fortnite-loot-box-lawsuit-settlement-rocket-league-v-bucks#:~:text=While Fortnite's massively popular battle, item inside prior to purchase.1 point -
Yesterday when I went to visit my college to clear some stuffs out of my head, I met two young and beautiful ladies, unfortunately for them they are dumbed, but that couldn't restrain them from communication, they got understanding because they used sign language to communicate better. I tried to converse with them but couldn't, they mused at me but I couldn't hear the sound because they can't speak. But they write so well, interact with sign language better. So, I don't think if someone doesn't speak, their is no means of conversation, since such person can write, learn to use sign language, then the person will move perfectly on conversation. Most people I've met on forums aren't speaking but they can write perfectly, and I interact with them tremendously fine too. For me, if both of them are options for me to choose a single one, then I'll just go for 'being a dumb, but have the ability to write. Because with writing, and using sign language, my communication can never be lost. Their is nothing appealing when I can't write what someone can read and grasp something meaningful from it. Life is worthless that way, because in online, contents matters, that's the best way for communication, just as in VGR.1 point

Exactly!! You're literally reading most of the time and digesting everything that comes your way once seen. You can be at home all day and not talk to anyone but you can listen and read a lot of things. At your workplace where you don't really need to speak much, all you do would be to read and respond to memo sent and other things. I can stay a whole day without saying a word but not sure if it's possible to stay without reading anything in a day.1 point
-
I'd much rather loose the ability to speak, I don't think most people could realistically get through a normal day without reading. I don't think many people realise how much reading you do during the day. From browsing the internet, signposts, social media, grocery shopping, browsing through Netflix, using in game menus, operating your phone and a ton of other things. There are, however, plenty of alternatives to speaking especially if you can still read.1 point

And for normal people ahve to pay the price as they would put the cost of there products up to get there money back 😛 MAybe..?1 point

E3 2022 cancelled
Justin11 reacted to Knight Plug for a topic
I wonder if Capcom will announce Outrage. It was rumoured a while ago to be a timed release for the Nintendo Switch, and have Rebecca Chambers as the main character. Not heard anything more about it for months, as is the case for many titles that had been hinted at. It's just a boring time for any news. But maybe the Covid crisis has had an impact on things being delayed.1 point -

Xbox and PC parallels
killamch89 reacted to Shagger for a topic
These days, you can use just about any controller on a PC. I even saw an article just today that confirms Sony now make Dualsense controller updates available for PC players without needing a PS5 console. Not that your wrong @Heatman, far from it. Xbox controllers have been the accept default for gamepads on PC for quite some time, so a lot of games, especially games that are a little older. Many games never had PlayStation button prompt graphics added to them at all, whilst using a PS4 or PS5 controller will work just fine, it's not without it's problems. Back to original topic. The best thing that Xbox and (Windows) PC's share is indeed your Microsoft account, making a lot Xbox games you bought digitally available on your PC as well. And then there is Gamepass. It's been discussed a lot on the forum, so I won't go into the details, but It really the best thing about the Xbox brand right now.1 point -

Can you elaborate? What are differences between the old Lara and the new Lara that bring you to that conclusion. What are changes and why are they to the characters detriment in you eyes? You as well @Awesomeninjagamer, I'd like your input as well for same reason.1 point

Capcom's Street Fighter Tournament Licence Controversy
Withywarlock reacted to Crazycrab for a topic
I've read the article and essentially what's happening is Capcom have decided to impose monetary restrictions of Street Fighter Tournament Organisers. Under these terms the prize fund is limited to $2000 per event and $10,000 for a TO per year. Sponsorship revenue is also limited to $5000 per event and $20,000 per year. Also under the new terms Capcom retain the rights to any media from any event including photos, video and livetreams. Capcom are saying they made these changes to the licence agreement to "make organising easier and faster". On that note I can see what Capcom think their doing. The idea being that by having these terms fixed in the licence agreement TO's don't have to spend time negotiating the monetary terms with them. The obvious problem especially for players and TO's of bigger events id that these are very low amounts of money. So low that it's not even bothering, especially after the costs of trademark fees, renting venues and so on are taken off. These kind of terms are a fairly common thing in many licensing agreements in professional sports, but Capcom have taken this WAY to far. These limitations are absolutely absurd. How the hell are they supposed to attract any top players when the prize pool is only $2000? It's fucking ridiculous.1 point -
It would be very hard in life to not be able to read. It would make things very difficult. However, I have tried to be deaf for a day due to being it a required class assignment in a sign language class I took and it was a bit challenging It would be less of a challenge as time went on. ASL (American sign language ) is beautiful and there is such a warm and community feeling with deaf people. So yeah I much rather lose the ability to speak.1 point
