I really enjoyed playing golf and tennis with my friends in GTA online. Also, going for a hike in exploration of the rural areas to the north of the city is also fun to do in the game.2 points

Hey dude just wanted to give you an update and once again thanks for the gba recomendations: Ninja five-o : Its good I guess, slower than ninja gaiden but easier. I still dont get what all the fuss was about, maybe its just because its a rare physical game The Pinball of the Dead : I dont play a lot of pinball games, this one is weird xD When you first recommended this one I was not expecting the game to be related to the House of the Dead games, its cool that you can kill some zombies with the pinball and I still dont undertand why I have to shoot a zombie at the beggining of each round, I ran out of pinballs in all 3 scenarios before getting to the boss. Anyway not a big fan of pinball but it was fun. Drill Dozer: I had played this game many many years ago on an emulator on PC , its a good game overall, but I feel Im missing out on the real experience of the game, a cool feature about it was the rumble or vibration from the console when drilling, something that Im missing out because Im emulating this on a 3ds. As to what I understand Boktai has a similar console only feature were you have to rely on real sunlight, I havent played Boktai yet but some people have metioned you can work around that using a button combination on the emulator. Car Battler Joe: An okay game but I feel that it has a lot of unnecessary story, it has the same text level as an rpg, I mean the gameplay itself didnt look to deep, Its just basically cars crashing or shooting againts each other on a big arena or track, and the controls are a little stiff Kururin Paradise : same as the first one Im really bad at this type of puzzle games xD Lilo & Stitch: Surprisingly short, I mean like really really short, it took me about an hour or so to beat it. Its a cool action sidescrolling shooter. Sigma Star Saga: My very first complain about it was that the controls are very stiff on the first spaceship level (Kinda like Gradius), it took me like 3 attempts to get pass that. After that there some story telling and then the gameplay changes to character overview and it turns in an action game, and thats when the game actually gets better, I stop playing it when I had to do another space ship level where I had to fight against a flying alien meatball. btw the main character looks like Ultralord from Jimmy Neutron xD Tomato Adventure : This one I had to play it on my phone because for some reason the english patched version wasnt working on my 3ds. It has a very interesting fighting system, first of all its a turn based, for the attacks its based on a power bar with a timer for each of your weapons (or gimmicks as they call it on the game) and you can adjust the difficulty on the power bar, the easier the less damage it will dealt. I havent played much but Im probably going to spend the rest of the day playing this one. Densetsu no Stafy 1 : This one I wasnt able to find the english patched version but its a simple enough game that you can almost play it without knowing what the text says, its a water adventure game, I liked the animation the star makes when you run on dry land it was very funny xD I only got to level 3. Same thing as Tomato adventure I had to play it on my phone. Im leaving the rest for later this week or next week, I havent forgot about them. Boktai , Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis , Yggdra Union and Oriental Blue: Ao no Tengai1 point -

The audio and sounds are a big part to the games, if not they wouldn't have it in them. It's even the more reason why you get to see some gamers make of their game's background music and soundtrack as their ringtone.1 point -

It's a perspective as viewed from above straight down. It's how I'd imagine a 2D version of a game like view would be programmed. As for your other point, it's a fair point. Just because they are both themed around football, doesn't change the fact they are completely different kinds of games. I think there is some sort of management simulation built into FIFA, but I highly doubt it goes to the level of a dedicated Football Management sim.1 point -

Multiple reviews suggests that Gangster Vegas is the best among all the previously released gangster games. The maps are wider and the possibility of interacting with the environment is higher. Nope, I don't have any Bloodborne related game at the moment for my PS4. Not that the game doesn't interest me, but I don't have the spare funds to get it. Maybe I'll wait to see what the edition will offer, then I'll go for it.1 point

Since I couldn't continue spending money on the game, I decided to halt my progress with the online mobile game at the moment, hoping to get into it again later in the future. I made some progress in the game, but not as much as I wanted to make, it's just tough, because I'm not an adventure/action game specialist.1 point

Until Sony confirms, just assume the game does not exist. Rumours might "keep your hopes high" but if Bloodborne 2 never happens you'll be crushed. You know what, let's play the hypothetical scenario that Bloodborne 2 is on top of From Software's to do list and it has been green light by Sony. Elden Ring (Feb 22) was nearly 5 years in full development and a couple of years before they released the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Oct 19) which was in development for around 4 years. So Let call it and say Bloodborne 2's development will be about the same at 4 years. Sticking with that current model that they have enough staff to be working on 2 projects simultaneously. That would mean that absolute best case scenario is that Bloodborne 2 went in to production after Sekiro's release which would put it into a release window of Q4 2023, but even that is optimistic. DON'T LISTEN TO RUMOURS! Whoever told you that Bloodborne 2 was coming this year is either a liar or clearly hasn't thought this through. Until Sony says so Bloodborne 2 is not real.1 point

I think the point @m76 was trying to make is that the way the XP system is set it Deus Ex Human Revolution actually penalises you for using stealth, and in a game like Dues Ex, that's a bad thing. Like I mentioned in my post a little earlier, The Last of Us does this much better by giving you an incentive to just sneak past when the chance comes along. When a game offers more reward for playing in one play style than the other when both are supposed to be a choice for the player, that is a problem.1 point

Xbox series S has a memory constraint
Withywarlock reacted to Shagger for a topic
I can't say I'm surprised to see this happen. I was worried that the Xbox Series S's lack of muscle might lead to compatibility problems with games further into this generation. However, to be honest, I didn't think it would happen quite this soon. That just makes this more worrying. I can actually picture people using Xbox's game streaming service on the Series S to play new games because they have to.1 point -
Forgive the pun, but relying on rumours to "keep your hopes high" is a dangerous game to play. For example, people were getting exited and really getting thier hopes up far a Bloodborne release on PC for years, but then it never happened (unless you count PS Now). It's not a good idea to let yourself be fed by rumours, people can even pray on that. Scammers made entire YouTube channels, and successful ones in terms of money, out of hyping up and even making up rumours about GTA6, and none of it was true. It's not a bad thing to get exited about the prospect of Bloodborne 2, just try not to get carried away.1 point

That's an interesting question. The arena shooters can be a fun slaughter house at times. I recently play COD Vanguard and Battlefield 1 and I really really enjoyed that realistic approach. I was impressed and it didn't have that fun feel, but it was superb and not soon to be forgotten. I think arena shooters lose a little bit of story because the massacre eventually gets pointless when they keep coming at you. There would have to be a lot of details of blood, guts, and limbs for it to be continually enjoyable. And I would need a break in-between attacks so that I can indulge myself in chopping up corpses and write on the walls with their blood. Even though I don't know a game that allows that. But that would be ideal for me to keep interest. So I guess 1st person hack n slash arena would be more interesting than arena shooter. Nothing like up close and personal multiple hacks at the neck to chip the head off one stroke at a time instead of one clean strike.1 point

kingpotato reacted to Shagger for a topic
Something I find really annoying in Horizon Zero Dawn (and other 3rd person games, especially ones with similar stealth mechanics, like Assassin's Creed) is when the foliage between the camera and the player gets in the way. This is especially annoying when you're trying to line up a shot from cover in grass or something and you can't see the target that the character you controlling obviously can see clearly. This is a common issue and I've only ever seen one game address it, that game being A Plague Tale: Innocence. In that game, when you aim with your sling the foliage between yourself and Alicia fades so you can see what you're doing. Frankly, every game with a 3rd person perspective should do the same thing, especially if there isn't an option to switch to 1st person.1 point -
White Supremacists Infiltrating the Republican Party
NightmareFarm reacted to Reality vs Adventure for a topic
The answer is obvious now if it wasn't already before that republicans have now openly endorsed white supremacy. After the latest mass shooting in Buffalo, NY, where a white guy targeted blacks at a store, dressed in armor, and went on a shooting spree. He also had a racist manifesto and white supremacist belief of the Great Replacement Theory. So now we are at a crossroads where schools are being punished for the accusations of Critical Race Theory and widespread banning of books including math, termination for discussing racism, violence against school boards, and even proposals to jail librarians. On the other hand you have a major media outlet fox news, congress members and other politicians, and domestic terrorism that all promotes Great Replacement Theory. And even after the terrorist shooting in Buffalo, politicians and Fox are still pushing the Great Replacement Theory. Democrats are now proposing gun laws and domestic terrorism laws. Democrats are calling for republicans to denounce the terrorist act and the great replacement theory and they won't do it. Instead, they are amplifying it by republican politicians and by Fox news, more specifically by Tucker Carlson. Basically, republican whites ban awareness of history and racism in schools, while endorsing their own victimhood how they believe diversity is the elimination of whites and immigrants are meant to replace their vote. So in other words, ban immigration, ban every race related issue in schools, pass into law voting suppression and racist gerrymandering, then promote the Great Replacement Theory. I could easily say that the Replacement Theory is what whites are doing to minorities in this country. White nationalistic views are to build a wall at the border and stop immigration and deport any and all legal residents from any non European country. ICE, Immigration Customs Enforcement, is even in the news lately for their unchecked surveillance on Americans. The Great Replacement Theory has now suppressed voting rights targeting people of color, and republicans have put in their own partisan people to oversee elections who have previously tried to overthrow the last election. Republicans have used the Replacement Theory on minorities by drawing up racist gerrymandering districts to give districts of color less voting representation all across the U.S. So that’s what I think about GRT and how its actually put into effect to harm people of color as well as the anti CRT laws. They both are used for the same purpose to promote white supremacy. There are no laws being passed that targets white people, but there are massive amounts of recent laws targeting people of color and the LGBTQ community. So that is the real replacement theory. And republicans have embraced white supremacy. There isn't even a debate about it. White supremacists have infiltrated the republican party.1 point -

Bayonetta 2: You can use items with no penalty. The magic system is a bit too skewed in favour of Umbran Climax. Also afterburner kick is broken. DOOM Eternal: Lack of quick swapping on console(all they needed to do was use one button to change the button layout on the fly then let you choose any weapon with that button + either of the face and d-pad buttons to choose your weapon instantly...). Also lack of traditional multiplayer. Apart from that I don't really have much to say. Even the comments above aren't too big of a deal, I just couldn't really think of anything worse.1 point -
Well first things first I don't like that F1 games are under the ea banner now, let's pray they give codemasters the freedom to do what they want and keep bullshit practices out of it. Because codemasters clearly know what they were doing. I also enjoyed the breaking point story mode however i wish it would take longer, like you finished it and you're left with the feeling you are not done yet. I haven't read too much about f1 2022 but i assume it makes a return. You know it gives you more of an insight how it is to be a rookie (and veteran) in F1 a side you don't see most often racing games let alone in f1 and that is probably the best thing about it. For the rest i won both championships with my own team and while it was pretty much the same as the previous year i had a good really good time with it, by the time my team was a front runner, my teammate (gasly) and hamilton/verstappen give me a real run for my money for the victory. My wish for 2022 is that they would incorporate even more features to manage like managing your own personel and maybe able to sign more sponserships deals and whatnot being able to be more involved in your team, like why not being able to manage without being a driver you know what i mean, My team was a good addition last year but it could use some improvement. Another thing Codemasters should do is bring back classic F1 cars, because they were excluded entirly in f1 2021. Knowing it's under ea banner my guess they are going to be paid dlc. F1 2022 releases on july 1st, just in time for the summer.1 point

Cool it's good to know atleast somebody takes interest in my recommendations haha you know i always got the idea my posts of games are too obscure for vgr. anyways i had a look trough my collection yesterday evening and here is some more i forgot to post about, i'll just list the titles as i've got chores to do around the house and don't want to get sidetracked 😉 : Boktai -> Can't remember to much about it but since Kojima produced it, it can't be bad. The Pinball of the Dead -> I gave this a play last night and spend playing 2 hours, can't believe i forgot to list the game originally Drill Dozer Lilo & Stitch -> don't judge yet, give it a try first Car Battler Joe Sigma Star Saga Well since most people know me by now i like my japanese shit so if you wanna play something not a whole lot of people have heard of and from what i remember are import friendly : Oriental Blue: Ao no Tengai -> Pretty sure this got a fan translation in english, go play it if you find that rom if memory serves me right it is part of the far east of eden series aka Tengai Makyou which is a series that sadly never left japan. this is an Exellent rpg with many choices to make, that offers a different outcome with branching paths which was quite unique at the time. I'm sure you'll have fun with this one. Tomato Adventure Densetsu no Stafy 1-3 Kururin Paradise -> This is the sequel to Kuru Kuru Kururin i mentioned in a previous post Alright now i really need to start getting to work because the house doesen't clean itself (sadly). To stick to the topic i finished watch dogs legion yesterday, i have some mixed feeling about the game but i'll post about that in the appropriate thread after i finish the dlc and I still need to get some achievement to complete it 100% before i can do that.1 point

Nintendo's consoles vs. Nintendo's handhelds.
Withywarlock reacted to The Blackangel for a topic
Their handhelds have come with features and abilities that others simply couldn't match. Sure the PSP could watch movies. I don't know much about PS Vita, so I'm ignoring that one for now. But some of the games that Nintendo offers have been classics and fan favorites for 30+ years. And the ability to take them with you when you're on the go, has always been a huge draw. Now with the Switch, not only do you have thousands of games at your fingertips in the eShop, but you can also download things like Hulu and YouTube. The last true home console that they put out was the Wii in 2006. While it sold like wildfire, once people got a full taste of it, the interest waned considerably. The Wii U afterwards, was a failure at a hybrid system. But through failure, we learn. They looked at what they had done wrong, and worked to fix it so that when the Switch was released it was a huge success.1 point -
