  1. What I'm about to post is a case study in why people should look into information that people post on VGR before replying. Not only is it essential to adequately respond to a point given by somebody else, it can even be dangerous not to. For starters @Clasher and @Heatman, that car is meant to look like a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, so it's not a Chevy nor a Mustang. It's literally written in the image to the left of the "Muscle Modern" logo. Second, that image is lifted from a game is called Forza Street, and again it's right there in the image. The game was an officially licenced Forza spin off for mobile that launched back in 2019 and was shut down almost a month ago (April 11nth). So outside of unofficial emulation, that game doesn't technically exist anymore. If you had looked into this properly and payed attention to the what information was posted, this would have saved some confusion. Now @Justin11, you made your post about "Forza Horizon highway 4" , and that is literally how the games title is written on it's official listing on the Google Play Store, without the "H" in Highway capitalised, earlier in the thread about a week after the actual, official Forza game on mobile was shut down. Here it is on Google Play. So here it is, with 50,000+ downloads, no user reviews and no ratings. Add that to the weird description that claims to allow users to play 3 main, full Forza games in one place (Those game names were clearly there to generate more search hits), the aforementioned bad formatting on the title (And in the description), the fact that the all four images of the "game" are the same image of an old Suberu Impreza that I don't think is even from a video game, and this is very dodgy. I also checked out the contact email address listed on this very store page it it didn't yield any results. That is really unusual as one would expect such a search to come back with a webpage or social media profile representing the developer/publisher of the game. But no, this was what looks like a randomly generated g-mail account that doesn't seem attached to anything. This is clearly not legitimate, so anyone who had downloaded this game, I'd recommend removing it immediately. Now @Clasher, I can understand how you manged to get a screenshot from an entirely different game, especially if you searched for the "Official Forza Mobile Game" or something to that effect, but you replied to this conversion clearly without looking into the subject matter properly. I suggest you apply due diligence in future. They are several reasons to get the facts right when you look into things for a forum thread, avoiding potentially harmful software is just one of the bigger ones. Now @Justin11, since I don't trust this so-called "game" and thus am unwilling to download it onto my own phone, I want to tell me what it is and why you have brought it up here on VGR. Send me what you know in a PM. Include screenshots of the actual game if you have them, but DO NOT open it again for my sake. Delete it. It could be malware, ransomware or a phishing scam. It is possible you mistook this for an official Forza mobile game, and if so, I again would recommend you delete it from your devices immediately and would recommend greater vigilance in future for yourself as well. This kind of false advertising and fake products are a common thing in the mobile market. I urge people to use thier good sense and not trust anything that looks out of place. I also urge everyone to look into what people are posting about in detail. They may not be deliberately trying to bring you on board to a scam, but it is possible they were fooled themselves. Do not put up links or promote software unless it's from a source you trust. As mods', it's our responsibility to make sure that people on VGR remain safe. If that means we don't trust software that you do, then that's our prerogative. If you have doubts, bring the names of games or links you want to post to us first and well assist in any way we can to verify them. I hope you have all learned something from this.

  2. By old I mean 10+ years ago. For me; as my laptop can't handle newer games I mainly play games I grew up playing. Currently I'm playing: Football Manager 2011 - Specifically 2011 as it's my favourite game in the series and 2011 was also my last year in school, so I have a lot of memories reading about the game instead of preparing for my exams! 😂 Left 4 Dead 2 - On Steam this game is still extremely popular and always in the top 50 most played games. It's a great game that I first played on the Xbox 360. Only down side is my laptop's video RAM is slow so by the time the the game starts everyone is already in. Thankfully 90% of people that play L4D2 wait for every player to be ready. Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005, classic) - I'm a Star Wars fan and this game is just brilliant. Also, when they remade this game in 2017 the servers for the 2005 game were activated again.

  5. A greedy, insidious mess of pay-to-win lootboxes and predatory monetisation. It may even be the most horrid example of the implementation of such systems that we have ever seen in a game of this type. Activation-Blizzard (who I will refer to from now on as cock noses) released thier very much not anticipated "free-to-play" (a term I use very loosely indeed) addition to the Diablo franchise on Android, iOS and PC on June 2nd to a rousing chorus of "Yes, this is shit, like we expected". The only thing that the cock noses suppressed me with is just how bad it is. Youtuber Bellular News breaks this down in detail, here's his video. I'll also link Jim Stephanie Sterling's video as that was how I was first made aware of this. This is also very much worth a watch. I would ask you to please watch both videos before commenting. I know that means not being able to make 5 posts in the next 10 minutes, but I not going to tolerate anyone making a stupid point or asking a stupid question because they obviously couldn't be bothered watch the clips or read this post in it's entirety. You have been warned. Full details in the videos as aforementioned, but here is the basics. Using the games deliberately convoluted and complex system involving buying premium currency's, crafting and using the systems that involve of a use of gameplay (You do have to actually play the game to earn the rewards you pay for, so a small glimmer of good from the cock noses in this sea of shit.) the using that premium currency to access certain rewards and areas of the game, it has been estimated that it would cost a minimum of $100,000 to max out a character in Diablo Immortal. I promise you, that is not a misprint, $100,000. It has also been estimated that to achieve the same without paying would take 10 years of play. No hours, not days, not weeks or even months. Years. The cock noses were booed at Blizzcon 2018 over this game, and that was before they were exposed over the harassment and sexual misconduct that had been plaguing the company, so we knew back then what this going to be. So obviously, I didn't care about this game from minute one, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. The cock noses clearly built these microtransactions into the same so integrally that they pulled the plug on the games release in countries like the Netherlands and Belgium where lootboxes are banned. They obviously couldn't remove them, there a vital part of the game to point where I'd say they are literally what the game if for, the game exists for them. So anyone who planned to play the "It's Optional" card, I'm telling you before you even begin you're wrong. If they microtransactions were optional, why couldn't they remove them then release the game in these countries like EA did with FIFA? That's right, the cock noses are worse than EA, that's how bad it is. The only sign that the cock noses listened to the fans is the fact the game did release of PC as well, but means very little when the game is such an insult. How do you feel about all of this?

  6. In Link To The Past, you travel back and forth between the Light World, and the Dark World. Ganon is trying to build up his power to take over the Light World. he has found the Triforce of power, and turned the Golden Land (where the Triforce was held) into the Dark World. He hasn't managed to take over the Light World, despite opening a portal between the two, at Hyrule castle. It's a great game, and I highly recommend playing it. I started writing a walkthrough (thought it was a review) and posted it here. It's probably lost to time, so I don't know where to find it, as it was sometime last year.

    Spy X Family

I absolutely love it! Anya is such a precious kid and the fact that her adopted parents are spies and assassins makes it so interesting. Also interesting is the fact Yuri's brother is an officer looking for the MC but doesn't even know it's him.

  12. It functions similarly to Xbox gamepass in that you're basically cloud gaming - at least, that's what it reminds me of. I can't say if they use the same technology or something different because I haven't really used it myself. @Crazycrab knows more about it or you can just Google it.

  13. I think RE 4 was a solid experience - also it was the first one with the over the shoulder camera view instead of the traditional wonky camera angles and the story was very solid. Honestly, in a way it is the best game of the series to date not counting the remakes.

  16. It still holds up relatively well in terms of graphics even though it was made 15 years ago - I'd go as far as to say EA peaked with Most Wanted because not a single NFS game that came out after was better than it.

    Hello there

Hey everyone. I'm Terry from England. I've been browsing this forum for a while and finally decided to join so I could join in with the activity. It's nice to see a forum that is so popular. I much prefer using forums than discord and other messaging apps. I own a Nintendo Switch that I share with my wife, we mainly play kiddy games due to having a two year old at home. Mostly Lego games and Mario Kart. I also own a laptop that I sometimes game on but it doesn't have the best specs so I can't play any newer games.

    Hello there

Ave As @Shagger said, if you have any questions, all you have to do is ask a staff member. You sound like you have a good situation at home. Making sure you have family friendly games due tot he age of your child, is a good course of action. If you want something more adult oriented, you could buy a cartridge and just keep it where you child won't find it. That is unless your interests stick mainly to, as you put it, "kiddie games". The forum is well educated on the gaming industry, so you should be able to find answers to most everything. Everyone here has their specialty. Personally speaking, I'm viewed as our classic gaming expert. So if you want anything from Atari 2600 era to PS5 era, there is someone who can answer your questions. Ave

A game about Batman's universe without Batman, and even worse its a live service co op type of game. Im not saying the game itself will be bad (we dont know yet) but this is not what the people wants.

  22. On that note, we have a meeting point on the subject. It's all about how the said gamer in the tournament is good at it and not necessarily being a Pro . It's not all those that are good at their games are considered as a Pro but all Pros are good at their games.

  24. You will be in for a shock if you do decide to try one of the newer ones. I personally prefer the old ones so currently playing 2011. The newer ones to me have too many features I don't care for, like hundreds of press conference questions, being able to use body language when communicating to players and stuff like that. I like to be able to just sign players, play matches and have fun.

  25. Yes, the feeling is so real that you sometimes feel like you're even ready to take up an actual real life managerial job if you can get one. The last one I played was FM 2012. I haven't played any of the recent one's in years. Talking about the game is already making me consider getting back into it.

  29. RE series is long, they have whole lots of selections to make and continue milking from members. Even if they fail to hit top gear with RE 4, they wouldn't go off like the thin air in the video game world, only critics will follow them.

  32. I don't even know what is my favorite game, good luck to them figuring it out. I'd take the money any day. Even for a tenth I'd give up one game from my library, whichever it may be. Now if the question was would I give up video games entirely, the answer would be hell no. Not even for $10 million. Maybe I'd budge at $1 billion.

  35. I'm into some old PC games from the 90s/early 2000's like Dungeon Keeper. C&C Red Alert 2, Decent, Magic carpet 2 and the Wing commander series. Some of them are a bit of a challenge to get to run properly on modern hardware, but it's a labour of love.

  37. I think my record's about 16 hours (without changing or closing down the game), waiting for a spectral bear to show up in World of Warcraft's Grizzly Hills. I finally went to bed at 03:00 in the morning, waking up four hours later thinking "it's got to have shown up now, surely?" And then I remembered how many people have been waiting for this thing to appear for weeks on end, and I'd only been there for a day. Well, Blizzard earned their sub money that day. Another time was playing Total War: Rome II, chatting with my now girlfriend, listening to Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the background until 01-03:00 AM. I wish I had the ability to do that still; now we go for a lap around the park and I'm ready for bed at 19:00! 😅

  38. I think it will be good in general, but I am largely sceptical that, yeah, it's still a cash grab. I don't really care for remakes, because they don't replace the originals. About the only remake that "did" was the 2002 remake, which is basically what the 1996 version couldn't be, because of hardware limitations of the era. But that was a choice for Shinji Mikami to do a remake, from the ground up. With Capcom, they had nobody holding them at gunpoint. It's the money they care about, first and foremost. Meanwhile, we could have gotten a good spin off game, which I'd quite frankly, take over a reimagining. The remake of RE3 was absolutely trashed from the moment they worked on it, because whoever developed it, just hadn't a clue what made the original so unique. To be honest, I will be surprised if I ever play that awful game ever again. And I wasn't overly impressed with RE2 either, as BOTH games were as guilty of omitting things. Not having Barry Burton save Jill in Raccoon City was dope, for a start. Feels like most of the pedestrian, ten a penny horror crap that companies make now for a cheap profit. Despite what anyone says, RE2's modern version doesn't hold a candle to the original. Yet if you look online for any reviews from the largest gaming giants, most fanboys say RE2 turned out to be magnificent, while dissing RE3. Hardly makes sense, though, giving how they are just as guilty for removing story aspects, and enemies. So it's kind of stupid to fault one game, rather than point out that they are both flawed. When RE4 arrives, don't be surprised if fanboys defend it to the bitter end. Because I know what they're like, as there's a forum I use for the franchise, called Biohaze. Some of the members are kind of the snobby type. They don't want you saying anything negative about the series, even if it's absolutely truthful. So I normally just don't say anything anymore.

  39. There's not much I can say about this, especially given the trailer: it's more REmakes. I imagine it's a Marmite thing, either you love 'em or you hate 'em, and maybe people are just waiting for the right game so... good for those who wanted to play RE4? I'd like to give these a try. If I enjoy Resident Evil 2's remakes, I think I'd enjoy this one just as much.

  45. The rate is bad to me, because the job is so demanding bro. It was 10$ back then to review a mobile game, in which the dev needs people's opinion, to understand where he/she did wrong and improve on it. You'll review the game, write your clean observation of your review, then an administrator will go through your review before paying you.
