  1. Most of you probably have checked out our post about MetaRace, the decentralized app (dapp) you can use to race NFT horses in the metaverse. As we mentioned in that post, one of the goals of the MetaRace community was to purchase a real, flesh-and-blood race horse. Well, it happened! The MetaRace community now collectively own a two-year-old colt in the real world named MetaRace. This horse will be running at Windsor tomorrow, June 13th, 2022. This is a first not only for the MetaRace community, but for the horse as well, who has never started on a racetrack before. If you join MetaRace and meet certain requirements, you to can own a percentage stake in this horse. Good luck tomorrow, MetaRace! 2. If you really were harmfully addicted to games, I feel compelled to ask you something. Before I ask though I want to be clear I am not trying to drive you away from the site and that you are very much welcome here. I'm only asking this because as a mod our member's welfare is my top concern. Is it really ok for you to be here on this forum? You being here just looks like the equivilant of a recovering alcoholic hanging out at a bar.

  3. Everyone has items that mean the world to them. We all have that item, big or small. Why does it mean so much to you? For me it’s my stuff rabbit. I named him Sleepy Bunny. He means so much to me because I’ve had him since I was a baby. He’s the only one that I have ever been able to rely on, with the exception of my grandmother. If you can (and are willing) post a pic of your priceless possession. And only one item, not a collection or multiple items. I’m asking for the ONE item that means more to you than anything.

  4. @Clasher I edited your post to embed the video. And I'm calling it now. After the disgusting shit they pulled with Diablo Immoral... I mean... Immortal... in fact I was right the first time, they will say "We listened to you" and not do all the same shit again with this game. They'll peg it back, but not remove it completely and expect to be praised for it, and there are idiots out there who lap it up. Well, not me. You can't see them announcing this game barely a week after Diablo Immoral launched and call it a coincidence, they want to distract people from the multitude of PR disasters they are going through. At least some of the horrid systems from Diablo Immoral will be in this game, I know it. I have no faith in this version of Blizzard to deliver something for the fans, but that's not my main problem. I personally refuse to discuss Blizzard or thier games without bringing up the sexual misconduct and harassment the company has been guilty of. They don't deserve your support and you should consider what this trailer is not showing even more that what it is.

  5. Honestly you do have a point but there isn't anything that can be done about - unless fans start to really protest and push back against the greed in football.

  6. What has any of this got to do with the subject? You want to talk about the price of old consoles, talk about the tice of old consoles on an appropriate thread. Why is sticking to thread's topic impossible for you lot? I'm getting sick of this.

  7. I think it's due to how bad the actual game is. I suspect that's why he said that...

  10. I appreciate your concern mate and you don't have to worry at all. I'm all good now. What VGR helps me with is having a place where I talk more about games because it's what I love than actually playing more. The very moment I feel it's no longer conducive for me to do that, I know it's the right time for me to withdraw completely.

  11. This topic is kinda broad in the sense that almost everyone's idea of an underrated game varies so what criterias did the OP use when arriving to their conclusion as to what an underrated game is. That being said, my personal pick is Primal for the PS2. Great game with a compelling storyline, great abilities but was overlooked due to Devil May Cry launching in the same time period.

  12. Great thread when i first tought about it hell i'll just grab my rarest game or console while i probably don't want to fork out the money to buy them again they can be replaced if i wanted. Obviously i should go for something i can't replace, I always tought it was ugly as fuck but i've come to appreciate it more and more over the years this print used to belong to one of my best childhood friends who passed away from leukemia, i think it's been 9 years now. He used to be really into Pushead artwork and this print was one of his prized possesions, two weeks before he passed away he gave me this to remember him by, the cool thing about it that i never knew that he hid a farewell letter inside the back of the frame where he thanked me for being such a good friend and whatnot, i only found out about the letter a couple of years ago. Anyway sorry if it's nsfw, you know you should be working instead of browsing the internet.

    Last Game Played

How long did you eventually give to playing The Witcher 3 :Wild Hunt yesterday? I was able to play for just an hour on the game later in the night.

  14. Thanks mate, we had lots of fun, after playing games for hours, we went to a cool spot and had some drinks, before coming home. I don't usually go to the gaming complex except on days like this one.

    Most underrated game?

I always remember seeing The Witcher 2 on many top ten rpgs of all time lists, but it has since been completely overshadowed by 3. I adore TW3, but I think 2 still deserves to be talked about more. Also +1 for Endless Legend - strategy games in general are more niche, but I think a lot of people should try the Endless series (especially Endless Space 2).

    Consoles You Bought

Whenever Switch 2 comes out, I'm never going to miss out on it and I hope it's not going be like what we're experiencing with PS5 now for being too scarce in the retail market.

    Consoles You Bought

I could easily see myself getting a Switch 2 in 2025 or 2026. I would buy one sooner, but I don't buy consoles very often. I'm also not an early adopter. I love my current Switch Oled and am really into the one game I own for it WRC 8. I'm only restating a lot of this because there seems to be a lot of new members here.

  29. I’d call that overlooked and not underrated. If something has critical praise, it’s not being rated low, regardless of its lack of mainstream popularity. Underrated would be something that got middling or poor reception, but you thought it was really good. Or the fandom of a franchise really hates that entry, but you really like it.

  30. An underrated game to me is a game that was well received by "critics" at it's time of release but sold poorly and has gathered a cult following over the years. A perfect example of this would Beyond good and evil, a game that has received a cult status over the years. I think It's too early to call a game that is barely over a year old an underrated game, but i'll agree with that it's quite likely a game like ghostrunner will gather a cult following in years to come. I've yet to buy it but i will pick up a copy as soon as i find a physical copy of it, you know i may just do that right now. Also when I read @Withywarlock exellent criteria for an underrated game a more recent example would be mad max the videogame, it got mixed reviews but everybody who played the game doesen't have a bad word to say about the game. Which would be my top pick for underrated game of the eight generation of consoles.

  31. My problem with the discussion of 'underrated' is that people can't agree on what it means. Take Ghostrunner for instance: Metacritic has collated reviews between 76% to 81% on four systems; Opencritic says 81% (76% for its DLC, Project_Hel); it has Very Positive reviews on Steam (its DLC has reviews as low as 'Positive'.) I don't see how this game begins to qualify to be underrated. It's not an unknown entity, it had an animated store advert on Steam's front page (what more could a PC release ask for?), and made headlines upon its reveal and release. A game I'd nominate as being less-than-adequately rated is Warhammer: Mark of Chaos/Battle March, one of last pushes for console real-time strategy (RTS) games. Fantasy Warhammer with 2 or 3 armies depending on if you played MoC or BM, with great controls, tone, story, voice acting, script, and even some features that Total War could learn from (like embedding a leader into a unit). Given this was the precursor to Total War: Warhammer, I think it deserves a lot more credit retrospectively than it had at the time, but then we can only review games for what they are, not what they will be. I've measured the reviews of the game (55-65% on Metacritic) and find them wanting, as they have few specific complaints or ones that simply don't stand up to taking the time to learn (which the games give you plenty of.)

  32. There's no right or wrong choices, races are mostly cosmetic and classes can be swapped out with different weapons and talent points. I seem to remember the Sorcerer was my favourite class (spellcasting summoner), but what joy I had of it was diminished by the game's netcode being really unresponsive. I've not played in a while so do forgive if things have changed a bit more considerably.

  33. And more of them are still being released. The only thing that's left now would be to choose the one's that matters most of us and play.

    Tomb Raider Reloaded

I'm still having difficulty understanding what you're trying to say because that is barley better than other post. I have went back and re-read both posts, came back to this post to make alterations, read you posts again, repeat, several times and I'm still not sure what it is you're trying to say. Why do you say "Lara acted a movie"? I'm going to assume you meant "Lara acted in a movie", but surely not as Lara is the character, not the actor and I find it hard to believe anyone could make that mistake. But then, judging buy you say in your first post; It also looks like you think Lara Croft is the actor, but again, surely not! My own dibelief that somebody could make that mistake is at least part of the reasonwhy I found the post so difficult to understand. so I have to admit, that's on me. Somebody thinking Lara is the actor just doesn't register easily with me. However, then your second post seems to reaffirm that. I think (and sincerely hope) it's the odd chance or words you have used that's giving that impression, but on the odd chance you do believe Lara is the actor, here's the basics. Lara Croft didn't "act" in anything, she's the character. Tomb Raider always was, and primarily still is, a video game before the movie adaptations were made. The first two films made based of the early Tomb Raider games starred Angelina Jolie in 2001 then 2003, then more recently in 2018 there was a new Tomb Raider movie based off the rebooted video game series starring Alicia Vikander. In the games Lara Croft has been voiced acted by serval different actresses, most recently Rachel Appleton. With that out of way, what is the "Tomb Raider video game show"? Are you trying to refence the one of of the movies (if so, what one, there's three of them), one of the games (There 15 of them in my steam library alone, and I know there's more, especially if you include the mobile games) or are you refencing some TV show I don't know about? It's all so vague and grammatically confusing. When its a franchise like this, you have to specify what movie and what games you're talking about because there's so many of them. Some of these games even have ports on modern mobile devices, so have to be precise, otherwise it is impossible to understand what it is your saying even without the grammatical problems. If you don't know, then you probably should not have made the comment in the first place. You played your first Tomb Raider game, whatever game it was, on mobile, then played played a Tomb Raiser game on console, I got that, but again with this franchise you have to be specific and say what games otherwise it's impossible for the one reading it to have a point of reference. Because some of these games have posts on both, it could even have been the same game both times, that's how vague you post was. There are no recognisable points of reference anywhere in anything that you posted. As far as I can tell, you have either got really mixed up with who and what Lara Croft is, flat don't know what games you were even playing (Which again brings up the question why you posted at all) or you have use some really weird wording and grammar that, along with the lack of points of reference, has drowned what you were trying to say. Whatever the case may be, I do know I've wasted enough of my time on this.

    Tomb Raider Reloaded

As much as I loved the Tomb Raider's video games, I had more connection with her movies and even when Lara Croft character was swapped up, it never changed anything for me.

  36. On one hand, if the developer doesn't care about updating the game after X many years to keep up with the new hardware that gets released, why should I care? On the other hand, if it's an app that isn't supported for the new iOS releases, it just clogs up space of apps that do work.

  37. Honestly, the only purpose this game serves is to finally give PC players a proper port. One the best games ever made, but I personally find it hard to get invested in this.

  38. Understood. Then again Resident Evil is one of those franchises that has a lot of entries outside of its numbered games, which are typically met with mixed/mildly positive reception, so I get their caution after being burnt a few times or not seeing the value in it. See how many remasters they've done in their past; it's been their modus operandi for at least a decade. The well will dry up one day, and when it does they'll continue to make more games. I appreciate someone would prefer that to be sooner rather than later, though.
