  1. I'm putting this here because everyone needs to read this and this discussion needs to be reignited. This is about the recent conduct of one of our newer members @Jasmin and how it has lead to this post here. After making a comment like that, I was not going to allow @Jasmin continue to post on VGR without rescinding that comment and promising to put effort into her content on VGR. At the time of me typing this, she had not done so, but will update if she does. As most of you are aware, we have had trouble in recent weeks and months with people posting just up the count with little to no care over the quality, forethought and purpose of what they post, just putting up anything at all so long as it's a post. That's why this very thread exists. This behaviour has been going on for some time with many of our members and we have been trying to discourage it on VGR with mixed levels of success. Clearly, there is still work to be done. @Jasmin's attitude with regard to what is expected of people as part of this community and contributing to this forum is obviously wrong, but in her deference, I do not believe she is 100% at fault. The habits of too many people on VGR who post farm is what gave this person the impression that this how we're supposed do it on VGR. @Head_Hunter, @Heatman, @Justin11 and others, this is the fruit of your labour. It's your continued insistence on posting like this despite serval efforts on my part to make it clear posting in these spurts of posts in the dozens with 2-3 minute gaps between posts is harmful to the forum. Not only is it a bad example and a bad impression, but these post end up generic, soulless, badly written and virtually pointless and that's if there're on topic at all. These posts also tend to be made in the wake of little to no effort to actually read threads accurately, which not only leads to inaccurate replies, but is also very unfair to other members who actually put effort into what they post. The bare minimum VGR members deserve is to have thier posts read and understood before someone replies to them. EVERONE deserves at least that on VGR. But because of long term members who continue to post in this unhelpful manner, this is what newcomers to the forum like @Jasmin think they are supposed to do, that this is what is expected. I'd say @Dannyjax, @Aniekwe and @Clasher, like @Jasmin are also newcomers to the forum who are also starting to follow the same path and this is very worrying. Trust me, this is not what we want. This has to stop, now. I'd recommending once again that @DC alter the way points are offered to not reward this behaviour, but what we really need is people to go back through this thread, read what people are saying, take the advice on board and post like you care, unlike @Jasmin. And if you're reading this @Jasmin, I asked only the same of you. All I really wanted you to do is understand your perception of what people are expected to do is wrong. Still, it's you choice to come back or not, but if you do I want to see a new attitude.

  2. @Shaggeryou may be beating a dead horse but I'm glad this is being brought back up because if i'm being honest i was about ready to call it a day and log out and i don't know if/when i would come back. Being chosen member of the month of may 2022 made me stick around and the fact i've been nominated 3 times in the last 4 months made me feel like people appreciate me here for who i am and what i stand for and offcourse There are some genuinely awesome people here including yourself offcourse that i love to have a juicy discussion with because that is what a messageboard is for imo. But the past few weeks it's damn near impossible to keep up with board to read everithing and let alone reply to something that interest me, it's kind of discouraging whenever i see the latest posts of the general gaming section are made by one person. I don't know if a chat function will change anything about this behaviour because we already have the general chat section for that but who am i to talk. A max post amount a day would be better imo but like i said who am i to judge.

  4. All, I am working on some changes to address the above issues. Jasmin, Boblee, & Head-Hunter posting abilities have been permanently disabled. Heatman has been asked to take much needed 'cooling' off from VGR. I will temporarily disable his posting abilities if my instruction is not followed. I've sent firm PMs to Clasher, Dannyjax, & Aniekwe but have not yet taken action. I am giving them a chance to make a change and will be monitoring closely along with @The Blackangel and @Shagger As always, we look to the community for feedback. @Withywarlock @kingpotato @killamch89 @Yaramaki @Reality vs Adventure @Crazycrab etc etc Thanks for your patience and continued support of VGR.

  5. Do you ever find yourself getting bored with violence in video games? In general, I would say I don’t, because I find violent video games a lot of fun. Shooters are among my favorite video game formats, and I don’t see that ever changing. But when I played A Plague Tale: Innocence, I realized how refreshing it was to play in a largely non-violent way, just because it provided a different perspective (i.e. seeing the world through the eyes of two largely vulnerable children) and different gameplay. What are your thoughts?

  6. There's the aforementioned Ian Alexander, another I know of is August Aiden Black who played Tyler Ronan in Tel Me Why. There's also Elliot Page who played Jodie in Beyond Two Souls (pre-transition) and there's a couple of trans characters in small roles in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West but I don't know if they are voiced by trans actors.

  7. I agree - I did watch the movie but it doesn't have a huge impact on the Marvel movie franchise storywise but it was entertaining nonetheless.

  8. After all that has happened, I think Ethan is dead and it's the only way the story can progress because I don't think Ethan would have a significant role in the story anymore.

  9. I see the point if you wanted to "upgrade" to a better device, but the OP was talking changing a controller for purely aesthetic reasons. It's fine if you wanna do that but I just think it's odd. I guess I think of peripherals like gaming controllers as a purely functional things and don't really care that much for aesthetics. I suppose some do and that's fine, it's just not me.

  10. Looking at it from a different perspective @Crazycrab Here is my point There are times when you get bored with your current devices and it's not giving the kind of pleasure and satisfaction you need. Maybe for instance your mobile phone sometimes you just change your mobile phone not because it is bad but because you need an upgrade and the one you are currently using is already becoming 'boring' to you. And this also happens for your Tv sets ,you might want an upgrade to a more bigger TV with a wider display or some other features not because the old one is faulty but because you need something different or new for a change This also goes with controllers for some gamers at some point you just feel the need to get a new controller with more better features than the one you are using maybe because the old one is getting boring and you need something new for a change.

  11. Thats off topic, please stay on topic. If you want feel free to create a new thread about popular games that you have never played. Also for future reference quote the person you are asking the question to, otherwise your post will go unnoticed, Thank you.

  12. I didn't even have to be the one to say it @Jasmin. And if that comment above is what you believe, get off this forum before I kick you off. If you're not interseted in engaging meaningfully with the community, then we're not interested in you.

  13. And you do make generic comments as well and that's why other users are quoting you so you can expound on the comments you made. Comments like this are generic and doesn't make any effort whatsoever to explain what your points are and how switching to keyboard helps either.

  14. Like I Said, after am done with the activities of the day and I retire to my hotel room at night, I don't usually fall asleep immediately so I play video games for a few minutes before calling it a day.

  15. My two cents for what it's worth, stop making these vague one sentence posts that make zero sense and start putting some tought into your posts by making your point clear so people know what you mean exactly if you don't like being quoted. I'll agree with what @Aniekwe said above, to me messageboards are intended for discussion, what are you even doing here if you don't want to have a discussion with other like minded people. And no this is not generic reply, mearly some good advice either you can take it or leave it.

  16. Yeah, it is annoying when people post generically with no care or thought put into it...

  17. Well that's how you like to enjoy your vacation. For me, after the long day of staying at the beach or visiting a new location or some other activities during my vacation, when I return at night to the hotel room or where I am staying in the course of the vacation I just sit around doing nothing so I just take out my Nintendo switch console and play video games for a few minutes before sleeping.

  22. That's perfectly said mate, bringing an issue to the awareness of the public isn't bad, and we can't deny there are individuals with gaming disorders, that wouldn't stop other game lovers from playing video games either, but make them aware that such a disorder exists.

  24. Another proof that you dont care to read about what people say, all you care is about making a quick post. @Candy Stick clearly said that the RE8 DLC was already announced, it was done yesterday at the Capcom's showcase event.

It's good to hear that you still played a little more of the game before retiring to sleep. I have already mapped out games I will be playing today and have already played one of them which is Deliver Us the Moon.

  27. I don't, I actually don't like playing games at night. Outside of brand new games I'm extremely excited for and enjoy, I rarely play beyond 9 pm. My ideal game time is on weekend mornings and holidays.

    Star Wars

I like the movies, episodes 1-6. After Lucas sold it to Disney, the entire franchise was destroyed to nothing but a money grab. Hell I refuse to watch Return Of The Jedi on anything but VHS, since they replaced Darth Vader with hayden fucking christianson at the end on the DVD's. And I left his name uncapitalized intentionally. I absolutely hate him and his pathetic attempts at acting. Aside from him, episodes 2 and 3 were good. They would have been better if they replaced him with a rabid monkey. Hopefully the remake 2 and 3, with someone WHO CAN ACTUALLY ACT.

  29. It's not going to take you anywhere no matter how much try to use it. It's the same thing with faulty or broken controller. It will cost you your games in a painful way.

  30. We are flawed by nature. It's only the one's that realized that we ought to do better and try to do so are the one's that's making the world a better place.

  31. That's bullshit. Especially to those of us who have no family other than their pets. If they're just an animal, then so are you. We're nothing more the bipedal primates. We're just mammals. We're all part of the genus "Homo". We're not Homo Erectus. We're not Homo Habilus. We're Homo Sapien. You're nothing but an animal. I'm nothing but an animal. @DC is nothing but an animal. This entire forum is full of beings that are nothing but animals. The only difference is: not a god damn thing. You may think you're superior to other animals, but in truth you're not. Homo Sapien is one of the lowest life forms. We have greater technology, but due to our own corruption, we're not much better than whatever is on the bottom. So don't ever say that they're "just an animal". That makes you come of as calling them disposable. "Oh it's dead? I guess I'll just get another one, and toss this one in a dumpster on the way." That is how animal abusers think.

  32. No gamer ever feels comfortable playing with a faulty console or PC controller. It ruins your gaming flat and out.

  33. If my controller is still in good playing condition, I will never get bored with it. It's when it gets faulty that I can't stand it for a day.

  34. I agree 100% with your review, you basically skip this movie and it wouldt matter. Is entertaining yes, but out the whole MCU phase 1 is the weakest. Also the after credits scene shows Tony Stark talking to General Ross about Hulk but that side story was never explored and that was a dissapointment.

  35. Yes, some of my posts are generic. But you you actually think pros would use a platform like this and make thoughtful comment. Most of us here are doing generic commenting. When I make generic comments, I don't at least quote someone's post. PS: I wrote this post before the last post, so I need to edit. I also feel that the discussion on getting bored with controller seems little weird when you are discussing about game.

  36. Been there. I don't know how many controllers our bulldog has destroyed. She also destroyed my Switch, as well as @Rain Dew's Switch.
