  3. What are some games where you had to work at empathizing with/understanding the characters? It took me a while to empathize with a lot of the characters in The Outer Worlds (more the NPCs at large—shipmates were pretty easy) due to how indoctrinated they are.

  5. Have you watched the final season of Samurai Jack where he finally gets back to the past to kill Aku? It was pretty mature compared to earlier seasons where he was dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts among other things.

  6. When I play videogames I am actually in a totally different sphere of existence as I go fully immerse into watch I am doing on the screen, after a couple of minutes when I am done playing a video game for hours a part of me still feels like I am still in that video game. It actually helps to forget some certain pressing issues for a few minutes and reboot and after that I am totally ready for whatever is going to come. Video game is not some form of escape for me but another way I like to experience the world.

  7. I've seen WWE 2K22 already on sale for like 25 bucks here and there, i'm tempted to get it myself but i've got no interest in modern wrestling and imo wrestling clinges way too much on the past rather then look to the future like why is Rey Mysterio on the cover, surely it's because he has a showcase mode in the game but come on you coulden't add a female wrestler or somebody younger on the cover in there. Lol we are 5 answers in and nobody has answered @Heatman his question so guess i'll be the first to answer. Mine has never been that spectaculair but i usually went for the Michinoku Driver or a full nelson slam back when i still played wrestling games.

  8. This is absolutely true, if there is any time wasting in football it is usually from the referees, throw-ins or kick-ins has their role to play in saving time but the referee are the ones in charge of the match and have the power to decide how the match is going to proceed.

  9. On second thought, if players feel they are still agile and skilled enough to play even when age is clearly not on their side they should be allowed to play as long as they are not affecting the team in any way and is still contributing positively. A player should be able to tell themselves to retire without been forced to so they can atleast give way for younger players to take over the mantle.

  10. Damn!! I can't believe that I missed out that one on 300. Among my favorite quotes in the movie would be; "Spartans, Ready Your Breakfast And Eat Hardy, For Tonight We Dine In Hell". "This Is Where We Hold Them. This Is Where Fight. This Is Where They Die."

  11. I'd better say before this thread hots up: attribute not to malice what could as easily be attributed to incompetence. Sure, sometimes it's that nebulous but all-encompassing and satisfying answer of 'greed', and sometimes the incompetency comes from greed. For instance, the game being rushed out because of developer/publisher greed; they want to cut corners and costs and make their money back instantly. There are times when it's just due to management clashes or ineptitude, concepts taking longer to decide upon than the actual coding process, contract negotiation failures and expectations versus reality. It's my understanding that DLC that completes a story is usually added after the initial contract has been fulfilled by studio for the publisher. They've got the game out, and they'll receive additional funding to partake in other projects, one of which may be a more artistically driven one such as providing a more complete experience. Others, such as the case of Mass Effect 3, were due to backlash. It may be that the initial contract stated the game was to release and then afterwards a number of DLCs are expected: what better way to tick off one of those boxes than to cut out the ending, but then I'm just going for the lazy, paranoid criticism of 'laziness' myself. So while I'm sure no developer/publisher plans for an/the ending to be released as content, it may be the reality for that particular game. Or indeed it may be greed. I've no evidence to suggest any of the above.

  12. I'm not a big Bandai Namco fan. I like some games, but most of the games aren't really in my wheelhouse. I am interested in Little Nightmares III, but mainly because I've yet to play the first two. I haven't played a DBZ game in years and I never really got into their fighting games.

  14. Left 4 Dead - I used to love the series a lot but I haven't played it in ages and it's not like it's a bad one either. I just don't have the same level of motivation to play it anymore - I guess I fell out of love with it 🤣🤣🤣

As @Heatman has proposed, you may have to try online platform if you can't find what you're looking for at Gamestop. Just take the necessary precautions before you buy anything because there are a lot of scammers on these sites.

  16. At nights, I tend to have my headphones on. I do tend to play emulator games on silent as some of the music from some older games really grinds my gears.

  17. Most of the topics about Formula 1 seem to be about games based on the sport rather than the Sport itself. I had thought about starting a topic about Formula 1. The sports section but I kinda though that there wouldn't be enough people interested to make it worthwhile.

  18. It was his gimmick, he was loud, annoying and screamed a lot. I never understood why people thought he was fun to watch back then, but I suppose a bunch of kids were into that kind of stuff. I like the more reserved version of him that he is today. I still don't like his content, but he's at least bearable to listen to when you see him. He still is quite animated with his act, but he's less loud from what I see.

  19. Yeah, and that's the way it should be right? I mean, if no games stopped you from killing a ton, what would be the point? With most open world games, killing multiple people will cause you issues. If a game existed where there was no repercussions for killing, then I think it'd be a boring game because there would be no conflict, no good vs evil type of thing.

  20. The game came out a broken mess and the team behind it was in shambles so they never patched it, or at least didn't patch a whole lot. I remember playing Universe mode for a while, and I'd encounter problems where my created wrestler wouldn't show up for the scene, or my opponent wouldn't. And it'd be me or the CPU character flayling around the ring trying to find a wrestler that isn't there. It was a mess. WWE 2K22 is kinda glitchy, but it's a vast improvement.

    General Gaming Discussion

I wouldn't say it's slow. If anything it depends on the player. Some people finish the game quite fast if they really want to, but most people probably take it slow because there's just so much to do. I've been just taking the game slow on purpose, because I don't feel like rushing through the story or through the world. I want to ride around, find treasure, strangers, etc and get all the side quests done before the end. I've played it once before, so I'm well aware of Arthur's death. This time around I'm doing a bad playthrough, where I'm awful and kill, rob, etc.

  22. The 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola is arguably the most infamous race weekend in the of history F1, perhaps Motorsport in general. Fatal crashes were of course nothing new in F1, for a long time they were actually fairly common. I think what made Imola 94 so infamous was a combination of the high profile of the one of the driver's involved and the fact that there had not been a fatal incident in years. You could even argue it become so "safe" that they were borderline complacent. First, Rubens Barrichello was injured in a high speed crash in the first practice session. Senna himself being one the ones that rushed to the medical center, making it there before even Barrichello's team principal Eddie Jordan. The next day the real tragedies began. During Qualifying Roland Ratzenberger, a driver for the new Simtek team in only his Third F1 Grand Prix Weekend lost his front wing and crashed into the barrier after going down the streight just before Villeneuve Corner at nearly 200 Mph. He died from his injuries becoming the first driver to killed in an F1 session since Riccardo Paletti at the 1892 Canadian Grand Prix. Despite the whole event looking increasingly cursed the race weekend continued: There more issues pretty much from the moment the lights went out. First JJ Lehto from P5 stalled his Benetton on the grid and ended up getting rear ended by Pedro Lamy's Lotus. Both driver's were fine but debris from the crash flew into the grandstands injuring 9 spectators. This brought out the safety car for 5 laps. Then on lap 7 at Tamburello, the unthinkable happens: There is a bit of dispute about what exactly happened and I will discuss both but first I'll go over the details that are not under dispute. Ayrton Senna driving for Williams qualified on pole, after the earlier incidents he continued round the track until lap 7 on the exit of Tamburello Corner where he crashed into the barrier. A piece of the suspension assembly punctured his chassis and hit his helmet rendering him unconscious. Marshalls rushed to the scene followed shortly by the medical car and it's doctor, the late Professor Sid Watkins but there was little they could do. Senna was air lifted to hospital but pronounced dead several hours later. At the time Tamburello was a very fast but pretty straight forward corner. It's not the sort of place you would expect even an amateur driver, let alone a 3 time world champion considered one the most talented to ever it to make a mistake. It had to be some other external factor(s), and this is where the contention comes in. It was discovered that the steering column in the Williams had snapped. In the official report it is claimed that this broke at the impact with the wall and the cause of the crash was the floor bouncing into kerb on the inside of the corner causing the car to launch forward uncontrollably into the wall. However, others have always insisted the steering column broke before impact, was the root cause of the crash and Williams covered it up. I'll let you judge for yourselves: Even after this Imola 94 wasn't quite done being Imola 94. The race restarted then ten laps before the end Michele Alboreto's Minardi lost a wheel in the pits which rolled down injuring 4 mechanics. A fitting end to a fucking perfect day... RIP Roland Ratzenberger RIP Ayrton Senna Well if you made it through all that thank you very much for reading.

  25. That's great point you made. Before, it wasn't easy for them during UCL matches. Whenever they want to be their best, injuries is always a hindrance taking them down from achieving their goals, due to their star players sustaining injury caused by jam-packed fixtures without proper rest. With the higher number of substitutes, the manager can rotate the team and bring in more fresh legs when the game needs changes, rest food players too, maybe bring them second half when the game needs some magical moments to scrap any of them through.

  26. Such turnaround of those three teams you mentioned were shocker to me. I didn't expect them to walk pass PSG at the first place, I was thinking PSG gonna go through, due to their star players in the guise of 'Leo Messi, Mbappe and Ney. That's a hit in the ass for PSG and a blessing to Real Madrid team, since it was the starting of marvelous achievement for them.
