I always try to avoid those subjects unless I'm with someone I would trust. Then we are able to have a civil conversation. Otherwise, I stay away from either unless it's something that either affects me personally, or it's something extremely serious. Something that happened to me once was this: When I was in my early 20's (I'm 40 now) I worked at a Pizza Hut in a relatively small town. There was another girl there that was so overchristianized it was stomach churning. I am Satanic (NOT A DEVIL WORSHIPER. BIG DIFFERENCE). The moment she heard the word "Satanic" she went nuts. Every time we worked together she harassed me nonstop through my entire shift about religion. It finally got to the point that I filed a formal complaint with the manager about her harassment, but that went nowhere. So she then upped her intolerance. She started demanding that I go to church with her. I tried to throw her off by telling her she had to go to a black mass with me first and receive a Satanic baptism. She lost her shit on that. There was no black mass that I would take her to, I just wanted to shut her up. That didn't work. Finally since the managers refused to do anything about the harassment, I made a deal with her. That if I went with her ONE time, that she would never speak to me again, unless it was work related. She would never speak of religion again, and leave me alone. She agreed. So she picked me up bright and early on a Sunday. She drove to her church, and we both got out. As soon as she went in, I walked over to a friends house. The next time she saw me at work she, was, pissed. She went off on me, saying I lied to her about going to church. I told her that I never lied. She reiterated that I did. I looked her in the eye, and said "You wanted me to go to church. You picked me up and drove me there. I got out of the car and left. You never specified a specific activity or length of time. I held up my end of the bargain. So unless you want to be outed as a two faced liar you will leave me the hell alone." She was so pissed off she was red in the face. But she knew she couldn't argue what I said, because she knew I was right. She never bothered me again. I was known as an evil genius from then on in that town, that you had to be VERY specific with. I still have that reputation to this day.

Videogames today don't meet the standards and expectations of 1999. the gross misconception that overcompensating redundant details for overall affluence is complimentary, has affected the quality of the entire industry. sure there are a few prizes and not all aspects of the industry's products are faulty, but HYPE and Erroneous fawning have lead to a predicament. People who have no experience with how we got to where we are, seem to think that by FAWNING they are cultivating productivity, but are sponsoring it's stagnation. and it is stagnant.

Welcome This is the PS+ Update Thread, a place to keep up to date on the latest offerings from PlayStation's subscription service. This opening post will be updated regularly to show what is currently available for PS+ customers along with details of what dates these games are available. Full details from PlayStation here. Of course this thread is also available to discuss rumours, games you want to see added and how you feel about the current line up as well as a place to discuss how you feel about the service in general. So, here are the currently available on on PS+ as the Monthly Games. What is PlayStation Plus? PlayStation Plus is a kind of subscription that grants access to online play, exclusive discounts and access number of games per month across PS4 and PS5 selected by the powers that be at Sony as part of the package. They can also be purchased as shorter terms subscriptions, but these will be a little more expensive per month than the annual cost. Basically, it's way for these companies to subsidize the running costs of their online services and earn additional revenue at the same time. The "free" games and discounts are basically there to sweeten the deal and make it worth buying. The service also includes a licence to play online multiplayer, although some games are exempt from this (For example, subscription based MMO's (like FFXIV), but most games you have to be subscribed to these services to play games online. The choice is not yours in what games in included in the package. Sometimes they're superb, sometimes not so much or you may already own them. You only retain the right to keep playing games you acquired through PS+ so long you're still subscribed. The benefits of the service? The overall cost of the games offered if you were to buy them is significantly higher than the cost of the subscription. Frequently, one month's offering would cost more to buy from the PlayStation Store than the annual subscription, so there is a lot of value to be found in these services. Important Announcement As has been previously stated in the final post of this thread, Microsoft announced that on September 1st 2023 Xbox Games with Gold is coming to an end and will be dissolved into Xbox Gamepass as a new, starter tier called Xbox Gamepass Core. Current Xbox Live Gold members will be added to this new tier of Gamepass automatically. Find more details on this at this link. As I edit this, it is now September 1st 2023, so this thread meant to keep VGR members up to date with the latest offerings through Games with Gold has become obsolete. There was really two options to choose from when it comes to moving forward. Reorganise this thread into a Gamepass Update thread. Retire and lock the thread. Having considered these options and consulted with my fellow staff members, I have decided to retire and lock this thread once this new service goes live. Trying maintain this thread as a Gamepass thread in such a way that is is useful would be laborious and time consuming. Xbox Gamepass user's receive updates on what is happening with the service that I don't think that a Gamepass Update thread would be worth the considerable effort that it would take to keep it up to date. I would be willing to keep this thread active as a Gampepass update thread if the idea received enough support from VGR members. However, as I type this on September 1st, such a motion has received no support. If there is enough support from VGR members to have a Gamepass thread, I will of course make it so. Anyone who does want to see a Gampepass thread to replace this, please send me a PM. As it stands, this thread is now retired and locked. Updated: September 1st 2023

Skyrim is pretty clunky and full of bugs that can be fixed with modding but still...It is lacking gameplay wise especially compared to Oblivion where you could make your own spells. That being said, I still love Skyrim to death.

I'd better say before this thread hots up: attribute not to malice what could as easily be attributed to incompetence. Sure, sometimes it's that nebulous but all-encompassing and satisfying answer of 'greed', and sometimes the incompetency comes from greed. For instance, the game being rushed out because of developer/publisher greed; they want to cut corners and costs and make their money back instantly. There are times when it's just due to management clashes or ineptitude, concepts taking longer to decide upon than the actual coding process, contract negotiation failures and expectations versus reality. It's my understanding that DLC that completes a story is usually added after the initial contract has been fulfilled by studio for the publisher. They've got the game out, and they'll receive additional funding to partake in other projects, one of which may be a more artistically driven one such as providing a more complete experience. Others, such as the case of Mass Effect 3, were due to backlash. It may be that the initial contract stated the game was to release and then afterwards a number of DLCs are expected: what better way to tick off one of those boxes than to cut out the ending, but then I'm just going for the lazy, paranoid criticism of 'laziness' myself. So while I'm sure no developer/publisher plans for an/the ending to be released as content, it may be the reality for that particular game. Or indeed it may be greed. I've no evidence to suggest any of the above.

Normally when playing a Mario Kart game, I'll normally play as one of the lighter characters like Toad for instance. I want whoever is the lightest and seems to be the fastest. The bigger characters like Donkey Kong or Bowser are good for knocking other people out of your way but they seem slower to me.

I have quite a few Mario games but my favorite to play is Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Mario Kart 7 is fun but I normally like playing a game like that with other people.

That's usually satellites that they are seeing. When the light hits them they are often brighter than the stars. It could also be the ISS as it makes multiple passes around the earth daily. It's not locked to one place, it flies around the earth at about 5,000 mph.

Been hearing a lot of good things about this series. From the trailers this will be amazing. And Anya is looking like she’s going to be the breakout shorty this year. She might be up there with Kanna and Myu if she’s as adorable in the series as she’s in the trailers.

Just a weird dude moving around the wastelands looking for scrap metals and other weird stuffs to upgrade a really ugly like looking car and kills folks along the way who tries to stop him. Mad max seems mad😅🥴

I didn't get to play nearly enough new 3DS games. I ended uploading up my 3DS with on sale and virtual console games. Though, admittedly, I cannot stop playing Fire Emblem Awakening.

I used to watch this as a kid with Chris Hansen - some of them were downright ridiculous.
