  1. I always feel like people use overhyped and overrated as a synonym of “it’s popular and/or well loved and I hate it.” They always talk about how much they hate it. People are always so baffled when I say I enjoy something and call it overrated. Like somehow you can’t have the two.

  2. Perfectly understandable, as I do suffer a bit of PTSD from being a Customs Officer and I doubt I've come even remotely close to what you experienced in the Marines.

  3. Porn always puts a completely skewed idea of what sex is in the minds of young boys. They think women was them to cum all over our faces. They think we're all bisexual. That we would happily take 3 guys at once. And some of the positions are things no woman would honestly go for as they're completely impractical. For instance Pile Driver would benefit no woman, as with no blood in her pussy means no orgasm. If guys could watch it healthily and realize that women in real life are not porn queens, things would be a lot different. Sex would be a lot better for both involved.

  4. Spot on. I would never call Elden Ring overrated or overhyped, least of all because I haven't played and likely never will. I've had enough experience with From Software games to know that this developer just doesn't make games for me. I reserve the right to criticise them for the methods, signatures and tropes they employ as I think some of them f**king stupid (no being able to pause, lack of difficulty options, the sluggish and un-empowering combat to name a few), but I would never suggest they need to change and make games for me. If they did, it wouldn't be From Software anymore. As much as I hate thier games, I respect them as a developer enough to want them to keep making for thier fans, not me. That's the right way to do it, actually the only way to do it. So they'll keep making games the way they do, I'll keep avoiding them because I already know I'm going to hate them, the sun will still rise in the morning, set in the evening and the tax man will harvest everything I earn in between, the way world should be.

  5. It's incredible that this film is over 80 years old then by re-scanning the 35mm film reel makes it look like it was shot yesterday. Even the time it came out makes it, in my opinion, one the most important pieces or art in the 20th century. As @DC mentioned it was released on August 25th 1939, less than 1 week before Nazi Germany invaded Poland and the world changed forever.

  6. There are definitely quite a few games that don’t have a 3D feature, but I’m sure most of those came out after the 2DS.

  7. This was exactly the same thing the developers of Battlefield felt like they were going keep doing and get their loyal fans keep on buying their trash. But it bite them hard in their last release of Battlefield 2042. It's us gamers that gives them the incentive to keep doing that because we end up buying them.

  8. Sequels of video games nowadays are just addition and subtraction, you take one part out so it doesn't appear in the new game and you add some other new features so the new game feels unique.

  9. My partner and I are looking to buy our own home, and she's handy and financially sensible enough to handle any of that sort of work that needs doing. My pay packet's going straight to her at the end of the month seeing as I'd just spend it all on cake. The house I currently live in is owned by our local council (i.e "council housing"), so we pay rent and have essential works done on it for us per their contractual obligation. It's hit and miss, and you can't really do much about the neighbours, but it's cheap enough. I suppose it's only as good as the area you live in really.

  10. The Blackangel is correct. It usually comes down to time constraints and the budget. I look at GTA IV to GTA V for example. You see a bigger game in GTA V correct? Well, there was a lot of things in GTA IV that didn't show up in GTA V. One thing I found was that the fighting was worse in GTA V than it was in GTA IV, at least in my opinon. I just remember GTA IV having more combo options with your fighting. This video shows some things GTA IV did better:

  11. I played it constantly when I was a kid. After a while, I got bored with it as a game, and just played it to eat up time. I ended up creating my own items for the game, which I would then import to a character. The stuff I created would basically make my character some kind of god. They were invincible, their weapons never degraded, they often had 1 hit kills. Their skills and abilities were simply maxed out. I actually had a few people buying things like that from me. It was good while it lasted.

  12. The temperament of a rat is usually very mild. If you handle them and they start to trust you, they're cuddle bugs. But they have a personality that is just as complex as any human. Several years ago, I had only 4 rats at the time. One night it got really hot, and 3 of them died. The one that was still alive seemed to blame me for his friends dying. While he had been friendly and sweet before, now he would bite me any time I was cleaning his cage, or trying to feed him or anything at all that involved any part of me being in his cage. It got to the point that i had to buy some heavy duty leather gloves that he couldn't bite through. So just like people, rats can be assholes. But they're more often just as sweet as can be.

  13. Same here, I'm in my early 30's but most think I'm in my early to mid 20's and if I shave my facial hair off, they'd think I was around 18 lol.

  14. Noticed that i haven't replied to this thread yet so here we go i woulden't call them necessary mistakes i made as a noob since i still find myself guilty of doing the same things after all these years especially in rpg's Excessive grinding -> The first thing i always did whenever i started playing a new jrpg, grinding for a couple of hours in the first area of the game to the point where i'm 5-10 levels ahead of the enemies i need to face in the next area, Still find myself guilty of this apperently ever since booting up Dragon Quest 11 a few days ago and the first thing i started doing yep grinding lol. Making the game a breeze so far. Looking up something before playing a certain part of a game -> Something to try to avoid as much as possible but back in the day, i would look up guides or just read them from the gaming magazine rack of what i had to do in the game or ask my parents to buy me a magazine if they were in a generous mood. Holding on to every weapon -> Still guilty of this, but yeah pretty self explanatory this one, for example you don't need that iron sword in skyrim anymore but lets hold onto it for safekeeping or as a momento. Wasting money on items that are pointless -> Yep you already have 50 healing potions what do you do buy a couple more just to be sure or how about that weapon that does 2 more damage then your current one, sure that's 2000 gold of the 3000 gold your have, only to find the exact same weapon in the next dungeon. Saving after every goddamn battle -> saving 15 times in an hour check, it wasn't something uncommon i did back in the day.

  15. I would have to go with @Kane99, he's been very good with his contributions after been off for a while. It's nice to have him back.

  16. I'll offer up my nomination for @Yaramaki. This has been a major few weeks for him with the promotion to moderator, but he has really taken it in his stride and is still putting out some of the best content that he has done to date. Well worthy.

  17. That was an epic header from coman that ripped Neymar of an opportunity at clinching the UCL title with PSG.

  18. I think it's time for ubisoft to rethink the whole ac formula again because let's face it origins, oddysey and valhalla while all great games they have nothing in common with the original ac games they are just action rpg's with the ac name slabbed on it. In valhalla stealth is pretty damn near impossible where in origins and oddysey it was still possible to clear out an enemy camp. I personally find valhalla a downgrade from odyssey i don't know why like going on your first raid is pretty epic and all but it get's old pretty fast, as are the side missions which can be completed in a matter of minutes. The story and side characters are also not the most interesting where in odyssey you got a whole host of memorable side characters like barnabas for example. Anyways about present day Assasins creed i don't really mind it but other then for story purposes there isen't really much to do in the present day ac segments kind of wished ubisoft added a little something more. Maya is a much better character then desmond , maybe even one you give two fucks about sadly i doubt she will be returning in the next game and we wil probably play as basim in both present and past which in all honesty is not the most interesting character to begin with, my best bet would be that the next game will take place in india. Overall the modern segments have become more interesting over the years. I diden't really liked the whole first person view we had in black flag and rogue but atleast you could walk around and hack some computers, the modern story in rogue ended in a major cliffhanger that has not been adressed to this day and probably never will, i think unity also ended up being the same way but i can't remember too much about it to go into detail. Just to go back to the topic title now with Basim back from the dead (kinda hard to explain without spoilers) but if you played trough valhalla you'll know what i mean, it could be the perfect way to implant both past and present and make some sense for once. Also that assasins from watch dogs legion what was she called Darcy, bring her in as a present ac protagonist.
