  1. Gaming in adult life helps me to return the state of mind of a child - with no problems, when everything seems easy. It helps to take all the difficulties easy, it really helps a lot! All in all, "adult life problems" are nothing but the "children" of adult state of mind. I use every option to be like kid - not in the sense of irresponsibility but in the sense of joy and soul/mental freedom. Gaming for me is necessary to achieve it.

    Lost Something?

Every moment of everyday, there is always something missing in my life. Right now it's one of my earbuds. By the time I find it, I'll probably have lost my keys.

  3. Honestly I hope they do announce a new Silent Hill. Maybe Konami has turned a new leaf and they're actually doing something good again. I remember hearing rumors that Kojima was back on a SH reboot, but I don't think that's any bit true. Would be awesome if we could see Silent Hills actually happen, but I don't think Konami would care to bring Kojima and company back. And I don't think Kojima would want to.

  4. That's what business is for them, as long as it sell, keep making it till it no longer have value in the eyes of consumers. It's not only Capcom that does that, EA is very notable with doing that as well with their ridiculously selling of FIFA. It's the most overrated game that keeps selling more than it should today in my opinion.

  5. My pick for a game that features this would be The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It's so easy to off the beaten path only to find yourself being chased by cliff racers. Given the game's combat system with percentage-based hit chance you really ought to train up before straying from what your journal tells you. Or just install Morrowblivion. 😅 You've also got 'the shortcut' to New Vegas wherein there's loads of Cazadors to the North... that's fun to figure out. "They'll be just like bloatflies" are some common last words. The first game especially. The first encounter with the first boss, the Asylum Demon, is meant to be run from before facing him a few minutes later with an advantage of an aerial attack. Then in the central hub the skeletons are tricky even with blunt instruments. If you go down the elevator you'll fight ghosts, or attempt to, because you need a certain weapon or status effect to fight them. So the only way is up, as they say.

  6. You've said it yourself: making a trailer is hugely different to making a functional video game. It's the same with the Bully 'remake' trailer you and I have both seen (thanks @Kane99 for making us aware of that): that yes, Rockstar somehow required millions upon millions to make such a bad remaster of three old games, and there absolutely should be a conversation about where those millions go by people within the industry, but it still takes more than an animator to turn this into a meaningful interactive product. When it comes to tech demos Unreal Engine 5 is the most impressive out there, but tech demos are only good in so far as demoing the tech. Seeing someone make a game out of it that fits on our storage mediums with (un)compressed textures, high quality sound files, so on and so forth is another matter entirely. I say similar things to those who watch the Warcraft trailers and want someone to make a movie out of them: it's one thing to write a teaser, it's something else to write a 90 minute feature film. And while someone did, I wouldn't say it was anywhere close to the teaser because that's what the teaser's designed to do. Having said all of this, as little as UE impresses me I do appreciate the hard work and time that goes into these especially if someone hasn't had any formal training in doing so. If it gets people into games design, making it easier for them and can be applied to other things I'm happy for it.

  7. Silent Hill reboot would be a good addition but it could be rumours as much as I want it to be True. I would check out for more information just to be sure.

  9. That's a design problem more than it is a player problem. If the game doesn't give me compelling characters and plentiful quest information, why should I care to remember? If there's too many NPCs and quests, again, that's on the developers for bloat. I haven't played a whole lot of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, nor have I in a long time, and I remember a great deal more of that than I do most of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind's characters, or V: Skyrim's quests. The test I give to a modern RPG's quest design these days is "can I complete this without any aid from the UI based only on the information the quest giver and my journal give me?" The answer to that most of the time is a resounding no. If a developer cannot take the time to tell the player how to perform the quest without map markers and so on, I'm not going to take the time to learn the character's name: it's evident they care more about me spending time in the game for metadata, and I'll only care for XP in a bloated reward system.

  10. Turned based RPGs and me had a rough beginning - believe it or not, when I played the first FInal fantasy game the first time, the turn-based system really annoyed me and it took a while to warm up to as a kid as the attention span wasn't there.

  11. If there was one thing, just one thing, one thing on earth that didn't need a commercial, it was Kanye West. Why not have a smaller rapper with a message have an opportunity and purpose above himself? This is why I don't listen to hip hop. Unless the subject of the conversation is already in wealth and fame, nobody cares about your talent. Talented people (and do appreciate rap) get ignored by not being rich enough. EDIT: I've decided to add this as a test to people who say "it has to be about thier upbringing around gangs and guns..."

  12. It's not much of surprise really: 4k Gaming is still too expensive. You'd need a Rtx 3090 or Radeon 6900 to have a solid 4k gaming and Quad HD gaming is kind of a weird one. So HD gaming still holds the majority. 16GB Ram doesn't really surprise me as that is the recommended value to run most modern games at medium to high settings. Intel still dominates because they still hold majority of the market share and their gaming laptops are still superior to the AMD ones in terms of gaming performance. Nvidia cards are more versatile as they're more optimized to run productivity software than their AMD counterparts so that explains why and 8GB VRam can run most modern games at medium to high settings. HDDs are still way cheaper than SSDs and although the prices of SSDs have dropped significantly, they'll to drop further to compete with HDDs.

  13. I'm more excited for this than I would be for yet another clichéd ganger guy. Not because it's a woman, but because it's not clichéd. To give GTA5 credit, the main characters... well, some of them, weren't the seteriotypical type. So it just feels like a natural progression to me. One of America's most infamous drug barron's was a woman, but even if that wasnt true crime knows no gender. Anyone upset over this is pathetic.

  14. Well you said it, not me but some of the most outlandish feats I've ever seen from people are those doped up on drugs - from fighting with dangerous wild animals to carrying a whole couch while riding a bicycle, crack is some powerful stuff XD

  15. Well with it being Rockstar I would hope the main character is well written, otherwise what's the point right? I really would love for them to bring a lot of what GTA SA and GTA IV did, and a mix of some GTA V stuff. It just feels like newer GTA's are going backwards in some aspects of the franchise. They take so many things out. I'd love to be able to make my character fat like in GTA SA, or taller or skinnier if I so choose.

  16. There was another topic that mentioned QTEs, so for me, it's any game that heavily feautures QTEs, either in terms of fighting, gameplay etc, I will hate it. I only mind it in story driven games when it's not this simon sez annoyance where you have to pick the right combinations in order to advance. I hate that the most. Just don't make the fighting QTEs. I want to have fun with my games.

  18. Who knows what they might do but just like you said, it's only time that's going to tell. Although, I think that if they plan on having things changed, they would most likely announce it the same way they did about not making the game a yearly release. I think that the it's going to be very difficult for COD to have something done on Vietnam War because the nature of the war doesn't suit what COD focuses on. COD gameplay is always full of high intensity battles unlike the what the Vietnam War features. Vietnam War in COD would look boring in my opinion.

  19. My first payment online as a freelancer wasn't that big, in fact it was very small at $5 but it felt like I earned $5000 because I never believed it was possible to earn money working online till The Forum Wheel made that a reality years ago. I will never forget that first experience in my life.

  20. They could also start doing smaller scale games to release on consoles and PC. It's not like their focus needs to be on just mobile games. They could support indie studios and release their games even. It doesn't have to be some triple a title that is expected to sell like GTA or COD. It could be a small indie title that is easy to make, sell etc.

  21. I can only speak to the Multiplayer but I feel just about the same way. The highest praise I can give it is that it's not terrible. I used to say "it works" as a compliment, but between the desync, animation bugs, difficulty interacting with some objects (the Oddball for instance) and dysfunctional weekly missions makes me say otherwise nowadays. Not to mention we have to wait 6 months between major updates thanks to its wonky season design.

  22. Yes to a point, Like the game called Undertale. It's not just overrated, the fandom treats it as if it were God's gift to the world. Pretty good game if you remove the fandom though.

  25. Yeah, if you're a streamer, having more than one screen is recommended. It's not easy to game on one screen and then move to various other screens. Of course I think the most we'd really need is two, but having three makes things even easier. Last festival I helped run I had a third monitor set up so that I could easily help with the green room, help with reaching out to moderators/speakers etc. I couldn't imagine just having one monitor, I'd be lost honestly.
