  1. Might want to post in the mobile section here - https://www.vgr.com/forum/forum/36-mobile/ I know Razer has their own phone model, and may have even made a new one. I heard from someone who owned one and I guess they are really good for gaming. Could even be good for streaming of games like on Xbox and nvidia. But, these days a lot of the newer phones, from Apple and Samsung for example, are becoming better for gaming.

Oh nice, I'm tempted to buy it, but I think I'll wait. Trying not to spend money on much these days, so will wait it out. Plus it's only $15 otherwise, so I think I can eat the cost when I eventually get to it. And who knows, maybe it'll be on sale then. 🙂

  3. There was an achievement in Mirror's Edge, that when you jumped on an enemies head, you'd get an achievement saying something about jumping on enemies heads to kill them. In reference to Super Mario. Another I recall was in the Simpsons for just click start. I think you get an achievement for 0G on Xbox 360 lol. There's other games that have had some cool achievements, but I'm not recalling any.

  4. Like I was saying: There's relatively lax regulation (if any in some areas) on E-Sports, which is why there's been international criminal investigations into communities like counter strike, and the list of corruption goes on... and on... and on... and on... It's quite frankly outrageous. Perhaps you can share with me how to share a simple link (are we allowed to do that on here?) Karl Jobst is a good youtube channel that exposes fraud and some of the cases are downright outrageous. The newest one on there involved a player that did a fraudulent speed run at the world's biggest speed running showcase event called Games Down Quick (or a summer version of it, or whatever). His fake speed run was given the green light after raising $25,000 dollars to do it as it was his second run and most players only do one. Not only that but his run was accepted, promoted, and even added to the list of world records on speedrun.com. Very disgusting. Anyway: With the lax e-sports regulation, as I said before, there is likely a case by case situation with different e-sports "teams" where they might have backups in some cases. With big games that have 5 on 5's, so far as I understand; there is really just the 5 people. These people are young so nobody has really died prior to a tournament and if they did, then it would likely be a DQ or event would be pushed back.

  5. Actually, I may have one. The walking dead season one by telltale, I felt had a drastic shift. Spoilers for those who haven't played, but there's a point near the end where you can choose to take someone's life. I won't spoil who, but it puts you into the shoes of another character after, who then becomes the main character.

  6. Yeah going too far back could make it tough for the multiplayer. But than again, we are talking about the series that uses guns in time periods that make no sense. So if they wanted to, they could easily make the online mode work by making the guns unrealistic or just outright crazy. I feel like that's the direction COD is going. Especially with the type of skins and avatars you can get in current cod games. I think it'll only get crazier.

  7. Yeah it released on the 360 digitally. I can't recall the official date, but I'm going to guess 2011 or 2012 was when it dropped. I remember trying to get my friends to jump off COD and get into GO, but they didn't. I maybe played a few more times before realizing I'm not that good at this game and moved on. Main reason I got it, is because I played CS on PC in a LAN party, and have fond memories playing source I think it was. But they were all on PC and I don't think they had a 360 at the time.

  8. It just doesn't make sense for video games. It kinda is counter-intuitive, because if you want to teach people about climate change, you probably wouldn't use something like video games because it in turn is bad for climate change. Think about tech in general. Any piece of tech we use, puts off pollution and other junk out into our atmosphere. Like I said before, maybe to teach people, but you'd be better off teaching them the normal way instead of a game, at least imo.

  9. Hey everyone, Today I have a couple of exciting announcements for you. The first is that VGR Forum now has more than 18,000 members! I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you who have contributed to VGR growing into such a tremendously successful community. My second big announcement is that @Withywarlock has been promoted to become our fourth moderator! He joins @Yaramaki, who was recently promoted, along with @The Blackangel and @Shagger. Withywarlock has long contributed thoughtful, detailed comments to VGR forum, keeping conversations going and spurring new ones with his insights. Each of our moderators has played a huge part in making that happen, and I know Withywarlock will do a phenomenal job in his new role. Congratulations, Withywarlock, and thank you! 10. Yeah it's all rumors at this point and time, a lot of it is just false hope if anything. Konami could still make a Silent Hill game, but if they don't have Kojima or the original Team Silent on board, I honestly can't see a Silent Hill game being good. We all know their track record with the last few games in the series, it will probably end up being much of the same with a sequel.

  11. yeah not even close to athletes who play football, basketball, soccer, etc. It takes some skill no doubt, but the most unhealthy of people could still compete in the esports side and still come out as victors. Professional gamers don't need to be fit, or fast, or good at actual sports. All they need, is to be able to do good in their games. And that takes hand eye coordination and mental skills if anything. But I wouldn't pair esports players with actual people who play physically demanding sports.

  12. I'll believe it when it's officially announced. I'm tired of the constant witchhunt if I'm being honest.

  13. Yeah, I remember when it used to come on Kids WB on Saturdays. Dojo and Jack are the two most hilarious characters in the show.

  14. Not at all - the amount of preparation an athlete has to do physically and mentally for extended periods of time greatly surpasses any kind of preparation any professional gamer will experience.

    Lost Something?

Every moment of everyday, there is always something missing in my life. Right now it's one of my earbuds. By the time I find it, I'll probably have lost my keys.

  16. I don't even play the multiplayer that much and that's an anomaly for me because I usually play that before even actually playing the single player. Within a month, I completely stopped.

  17. To be fair Susanoo in Okami isn't exactly a normal canine - I mean he's been blessed with Godly abilities. I think what @Kane99 was going for is something more along the lines of an animal simulator but making more entertaining. The trick with these games as a developer is how do you keep them from getting extremely repetitive? From what I learned, Stray does somewhat fall into this category.

It's a game where you play from the perspective of a cat with a drone on its back - it can only grab your attention for so long. I quite like the graphics but running around as a cat with a droid on its back gets old pretty quickly. That's why I wasn't as keen about it as most of you were because I could just tell it was going to be a very boring experience.

  20. They've ported RE4 so many times since they originally stated it would be a GameCube exclusive. You could even get a version (albeit, neutered) for cellphones. In my opinion, it's a great action game, but does nothing to take the RE storyline forward.

  21. Gaming in adult life helps me to return the state of mind of a child - with no problems, when everything seems easy. It helps to take all the difficulties easy, it really helps a lot! All in all, "adult life problems" are nothing but the "children" of adult state of mind. I use every option to be like kid - not in the sense of irresponsibility but in the sense of joy and soul/mental freedom. Gaming for me is necessary to achieve it.

  22. That's my issue with the RE 4 remake if I'm being honest, I didn't get why they couldn't just make an HD remaster. The first 3 were understandable but why this game? We did see the preview for the Last Of Us Remake the other day as well.

  23. I agree, my dogs' father used to crawl around and play dead if I didn't give him some of my food. If I ignored, him he'd stop his routine, get up and hit me with his paw until I was looking at him and then he does it again.

I sadly haven't played much of the Metroid games. I played the original and I think a version on the game boy advance years ago. But the first one was always a blast to play, and still is. I really need to play the newer titles and some of the other gameboy, gcb, ds games as well. Not sure I want to play most of the 3d games though. Never found much appeal on the 3d ones.

  25. Ubisoft have been facing a lot of challenges and not just their issues of misconduct. Their stock have taken a huge fall from $23 in 2018 to a miserly $9 today. You can read more about their problems Here in this Forbes article.

  26. @Withywarlock and @Yaramaki are established and longtime contributors of VGR. They both have been on our watchlist for some time and were vetted extensively by @Shagger. Four moderators is appropriate given VGR's member count and post total and the overall exponential growth the community has seen over the past 4-6 months. Each of the four moderators are well qualified and deserving of their respective role. Furthermore, having a robust and experienced moderation team allows me to direct more time and resources to continuing to attract new members and grow the community.

Prime. I don't remember if it was the first one I played or not, but it's my favorite. Retro did such a good job building the world of Tallon IV. I remember my first time playing, I spent at least an hour just walking around the landing site, marveling at everything from the waterfalls to the foliage to the way the raindrops splatter on your visor.

  28. I'd live in the world of Harry Potter then dedicate my time to perfecting my "make money" spell until I'm a millionaire. Don't look at me and think "You can't have your cake and eat it." That's a stupid expression anyway, why else would I want my cake if I wasn't gonna eat it?
