I Hate To Admit It, But Digital Distribution Is Growing On Me....
Withywarlock reacted to Shagger for a topic
Maybe it's because I've spent so much more time gaming on PC this last year than I have done in the past, but I'm starting like this whole distribution thing. It's convenient and practical so long as your internet is decent, and you can find games cheep enough that it kind of makes up for the lack of used games. Rights to play games owned by friends and family are also improving and refunds are pretty much standard across the board now. There is also no risk of damaging or loosing your games either, something that has always been a problem with games in the past. Don't get me wrong, we still NEED games to be available on physical media in a big way. We need to have the buyers rights they offer maintained and I will always be concerned about games going offline from a digital service and the other drawbacks with regards to game preservation. However, and I never thought I would believe this, but I'm coming round to digital distribution and I find myself considering it as an option that's at least as valid as buying games on disk. 80% of video games now are bought digitally, and I'm not surprised. Maybe this was simply the next step in game's evolution. Are you still loyal to physical media, or are you embracing digital distribution instead. Tell me what and why below.1 point -
Worst business decisions ever.

What are the worst business decisions you've ever seen? Blockbuster passing on Netflix has to be up there.1 point -
With esports I feel like there is a lot more risk than say betting on sports or other such things. I feel esports teams are highly unpredictable and guessing who can win is very tough. I personally don't feel the need to bet in esports. Plus there are hackers and cheaters who sometimes get away with it, so I don't want to lose out because of that either. If I do bet on any esports, I would need to study it more to know who is good and bad.1 point

What makes you feel like a franchise like Wolfenstein and Mortal kombat have outstayed their welcome? Wolfenstein are still some of the most fun and story driven single player fps out there. In a genre that is dominated by multiplayer games i'd say wolfenstein is a breath of fresh air. Mortal Kombat is a franchise i don't know but dare i say it has overtaken street fighter in terms of quality and content. Mortal kombat is more fun to play then ever imo. We have gotten like 3 really good games in the past 11 years, you can hardly say Warner bros is milking the franchise dry or for the matter i've never heard anybody mentioning Mortal kombat needs to die alltogether. Sure during the ps2 area i'd say the franchise was at an all time low and probably should have died then but as it stands today give me more blood and gore lol.1 point

They only mattered to me that much when I was playing Fortnite in 2019. I aced almost 50% of all the achievements in the game because I was very much hooked up to the game. If anyone told me, I'd stop playing the game that much now, I would never believe it.1 point

The Blackangel reacted to Justin11 for a topic
Their have been so many invitations from my high school mates for get together stuffs, I turned them down due to my nature of gigs online and offline that doesn't give me much time. Since I have many of them at various social media, their is no much needs going to get together and catching up with them.1 point -
Do you think 3D gaming will make a comeback? (3D TVs)

This is turning into the chat-style messages of before which have received no end of warnings and is bringing us off-topic. Please either contribute to the topic of 3D TVs or resume this conversation in private messages.1 point -
I remember what game it was. It was the Sonic twin pack, it included Sonic CD and the Sonic & Knuckles Collection, which included Sonic & Knuckles 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I remember the box it came in, had a cardboard block, that took up half the box, while the games came in a single jewel case. I always thought they would have included another set of discs, but nope. This is what it looked like:1 point

That's good, content creation is fun anyways and you shouldn't knock yourself out trying to promote your channel. If you are meant for this I think people will naturally gravitate towards you. Just work on making better contents with good key words and you would scale up from there.1 point

New Coke is high on that list. GM passing on the Hemi for the Vortec was stupid. Nintendo not buying Rare when they had the chance. Those are all I can think of at the moment.1 point -
Paymoneywubby is more of a just chatting streamer these days. His earlier stuff he did some games, but these days he either does reaction videos or just chatting. He doesn't really make much content on YouTube in that category anymore. Most of his videos are highlights of previous just chatting streams on twitch. Paymoneywubby doesn't have a video on powerwash sim. Are you confusing it with another YouTuber? I mentioned Game Grumps made videos around it. You can see the first one below. https://youtu.be/EtrAeDgufOI1 point

Eh I don't want to end up damaging my xbone in the process. I'm paranoid about opening it up and in turn causing damage. I could try, but I really don't want to risk it. Going to see if a simple vacuuming will work first. If not, maybe I'll try to get it cleaned up.1 point

Favourite Achievements/Trophies in Games?
Withywarlock reacted to Yaramaki for a topic
Currently fairly close to hitting 150k gamerscore myself, but the hunt and motivation went away for achievements as soon i hit 100k a few years back. If i diden't have to change gamertags because my girlfriend at the time paid for xbox live so i let her keep the id we both shared after we broke up, i'd probably have way more then that but eh it's just a number to me these days. It's so easy to boost your score if you're down with playing shit game after shit game these days that it doesen't even feel like an accomplishment anymore. Microsoft and sony really need to start thinking about overhauling their achievement and throphy system alltogether. There are two that always stuck with and that is in a game called Bullet witch where you would get 1 gamerscore for beating the game on hell mode which would unlock after you beat the game, by then you pretty much had every other achievement bar that 1 gamerscore, always tought that was a funny one. The other being in lollipop chainsaw where you had to try and look under the skirt of juliet if successfull you would unlock 5 gamerscore. Usually the best achievements are where you have to go out of your way to do something weird or achievements that encourage you to play in different styles that the gameplay has to offer.1 point -
First Date
Withywarlock reacted to Yaramaki for a topic
I don't know but i'd rather go out for a walk or go to a restaurant together but first i'd like to get to know the person in question a little better if possible online wheter they are something for me or not and share somewhat similair interests you also avoid a lot of potential disappointment not for yourself but also the other person involved. Like i know it's narrowminded of me to say but somebody who smokes or is vegan or has 3 kids already would likely not work very well in my case and i'd probably pass on them as potential dating material.1 point -

Self Centered
Justin11 reacted to StaceyPowers for a topic
I am self-centered, in the sense of literally being focused on myself and my life experiences most of the time. If someone tells me a story, the first thing I do is think if I have any relevant experience through which I can understand it. This isn't the same as being selfish though. I just am the literal center of my own universe. It doesn't mean I think I'm the center of anyone else's.1 point -

Wealth That is Eventually Lost
Withywarlock reacted to Crazycrab for a topic
You can't generalize these kind of situations. When wealthy people loose their fortune it can happen for a catalogue list of different reasons. Reckless spending, bad investments, victims of scams, addiction to gambling, drink or drugs, caught engaging in criminal activity, the list goes on forever. The very article you posted list more than 20 different examples, none of them exactly the same. As to how it can be prevented? Again it's case by case. I believe that also applies as to wether we should even feel sorry for them at all.1 point -
