I just want to see them keep physical media alive. I know that's asking far too much for today's generations, but the collector in me hates that we're going to lose physical games very soon. I know most of them are essentially just serving as keys to download the rest of the game, but there's something about owning a physical copy of a game that makes it feel more certain. I own this, it's mine, it's right here. Digital games can be gone in the blink of an eye. It's entirely improbable that physical media continues for another generation, but it's the one thing I hope for.2 points

Ever inspired to try new things/experiences because of a video game?
killamch89 reacted to Kane99 for a topic
I know it may sound weird, but have you ever been inspired to try new things or experiences because of a video game? Maybe it was a mission that featured a location you'd like to travel to one day, or maybe maybe the game introduced you to certain things like foods, drinks, and even cultures. Maybe a game inspired you to ask questions about the world. Is there any games that have inspired you in such a way? There has to be people who are inspired to try out new things because of a video game. I'm sure it happens with movies, tv, books, etc. I suppose you could say for me, traveling to certain locations would be something I could one day see myself doing. Like in Hitman for example, with the level in Sapienza. I'd love to visit a place like that one day. I've never been one for traveling, but that game made it look like a place I should see. And I do need to get out of my comfort zone anyway.1 point -
What's your most anticipated video games of 2024?
The Blackangel reacted to killamch89 for a topic
I swear that I'm more eager to play indie developed games than games from triple A companies because they're actually putting a lot of effort into their games. Most of the bigger developers are hopping on this Live Service train and I despise it.1 point -

Gravity Rush 2 Remaster coming to PS5 and PC?
Reality vs Adventure reacted to Shagger for a topic
No kidding Sony, thank you. Assuming it is true, and it had better be. One of my favourite games on the PS4 with the original being one of, if not the best game on the PS Vita. Unique mechanics, unique style and presentation and surprisingly strong and entertaining story. I absolutely love this franchise. So suffice to say, I'm very up for this remaster and this movie, especially since I had resigned to the unfortunate fate that this franchise was dead and actually thought Sony had lost all care for this IP. They dropped support for Gravity Rush 2's online component after only a year and there has been no buzz on the IP since, until now. OK, so it's not a brand new Gravity Rush game, but I'll take this. Listen PC and PS5 players, buy this game. We're getting a second chance to show a criminally underrated game some much deserved love.1 point -
Do you have any favorite game developer?
killamch89 reacted to Reality vs Adventure for a topic
At this point, I also agree with you there. Game developers have a bad reputation when it comes to the way they treat employees. Ubisoft may be my favorite game developer, but their leadership needs a change for the betterment of employees. Ubisoft does have labor unions so I expect there are things in place to protect employees, so as a conscious consumer, to me that isn't grounds to boycott them. They have the tools needed to aid employees. Sounds shallow on my part, but if their union isn't protecting them, they should go on strike or vote for a new one that will. If they get oppressed at that point by the union and the company, then that's when consumers may be the answer to boycott. I don't know what all has happened there the past couple years so I don't know if things got better or not. If a developer had rampant abuse against employees without a labor union, then they may need some intervention to help them.1 point -

Pneumata. It comes out towards the end of the month if I remember correctly. I have it preordered and fully paid for. I love horror games like this, and this one looks awesome!1 point -
Forgotten horror games that deserve remakes or reboots
killamch89 reacted to HowHammerYou for a topic
A forgotten horror game from an otherwise very popular horror series: Resident Evil Code: Veronica X. It's so forgotten that Capcom forgot to release it physically when they ported their old RE games to PS4 and Xbox One. It was the only RE game remaster to be released digital-only. It's probably my favorite or second favorite game in the series, and I really hope it winds up being Capcom's next remake.1 point -
What stopped you from being too much into gaming?
killamch89 reacted to HowHammerYou for a topic
For me, it's a variety of reasons: First, I don't have as much time anymore. Second, more and more often, games are disappointing or releasing in incomplete states. Third, games just aren't designed for my generation anymore. I first realized that when I bought BOTW and saw they had managed to shoehorn smartphones into a Zelda game as an integral gameplay element. Fourth, games these days are too big. The open-world monogenre has turned video games into massive timesinks that take hundreds of hours to finish, and I'm just not into that.1 point -
Are you getting a pet any time soon?

No, I'm not talking about leaving. I'm talking about a pet holding me back from fighting. Right now I have no attachments.1 point -

Dino Crisis. Dinosaurs haven't been conveyed in video games in the same way that zombies have, for example. And, this totle deserves another remake in the gaming industry.1 point -

Cold Fear was a very challenging game, cool you brought it up. I didn’t have much luck playing the game; I gave up on it. If you are interested in the old horror games; check out Obscure 1 and 2.1 point
