I just got a Steam Deck OLED and so far my opinion is that it is the perfect balance between power, size and battery life. The problem with something like Acer's new Nitro handheld is that it's more powerful, sure, but it's so big that you can't really bring it with you without a dedicated bag. It also has a 4K screen, which in my humble opinion is absolutely stupid. At 11" 4K is way overkill. The Steam Deck OLED has a 7,4" screen at 1200x800, which in 2025 sounds like a really low resolution, but honestly at 7,4" it feels and looks great. The Nitro's battery is also the same size at the Steam Deck's, and shockingly, a 4K display will draw a lot more power than 800p will.
In short, if you want ultimate power, get a desktop. If you want perfectly decent perfomance in a handheld that will actually fit in your hands, get something like a Steam Deck or an Ally X
