  1. Personally I can only speak on the Steam Deck, as that's the only PC handheld that I've actually used, but at least in my hands, the Steam Deck feels extremely comfortable. Before i ordered mine I debated whether to get the Steam Deck or the ROG Ally X, as they both cost exactly the same in my country. Both have advantages and drawbacks, but the thing that ulitimately made me go for the Deck was the ergonomics. The Deck has some pretty beefy grips on the back that fit perfectly in my hands, while the Ally X looks a lot more flat. I also like the placement of the thumb sticks a lot better on the Deck. On the Ally X, the right tumbstick looks like it's placed similarly to the Switch joycons, which means that your right thumb will constantly be curled, which to me at least feels really uncomfortable after a while. On the Deck both thumbsticks are placed so that both your thumbs can be fully extended

  2. I just got a Steam Deck OLED and so far my opinion is that it is the perfect balance between power, size and battery life. The problem with something like Acer's new Nitro handheld is that it's more powerful, sure, but it's so big that you can't really bring it with you without a dedicated bag. It also has a 4K screen, which in my humble opinion is absolutely stupid. At 11" 4K is way overkill. The Steam Deck OLED has a 7,4" screen at 1200x800, which in 2025 sounds like a really low resolution, but honestly at 7,4" it feels and looks great. The Nitro's battery is also the same size at the Steam Deck's, and shockingly, a 4K display will draw a lot more power than 800p will. In short, if you want ultimate power, get a desktop. If you want perfectly decent perfomance in a handheld that will actually fit in your hands, get something like a Steam Deck or an Ally X
