  1. I hope they didn't cancel Revelations 3, as that's one of RE's saving graces. OK. Half these news articles keep disappearing on me, although it doesn't quite say if it was axed. https://gamerant.com/resident-evil-revelations-3-spinoff-episodic/
  2. I said to him, that without knowledge of editing and being the king of what you do, nobody gets anywhere on YouTube if they are a novice. I ought to know; I've talked openly and honestly about Resident Evil on there for years, and the only attention I ever seem to get is people being a fanny and trolling. So, I don't know what the point in trying is, really. Because it really did occur to me that unless your videos are super fancy-ish and look like they were made on a £1000 budget, no-one cares about your generic vlogs, or you just ranting in front of a camera. That's so 2005. YouTube and often online services these days, overall, in 2022, feels pointless instead of being better. Like forums. It's hard to get people to join forums anymore. Whereas back in 2004, even InvisionFree forums had hundreds of active users. To me, I'm sorry to say it, but the golden age of the Internet is long gone. All pretty pixels aside, everything looks stunning, and that's probably why you lie to yourself and say it'll improve. But when you don't get noticed, it's a chore, and just not worth the hassle. Not to mention the people who shill, just to get noticed. That's lying to yourself, and I don't like people who are happy to keep stamping on others to get to the front of the line. Google for example, they just had to be idiots and turn off broadcasting on mobiles for anybody under 500 subs. Before the recent change, it was 1000. But even so. Few people want to grow a large channel anyway, and using other apps to bypass that restriction is so frustrating, as they obviously suck and YouTube probably knows people can install Streamlabs and similar apps. And people may have a busy life and just do it as a hobby. But Google has just wrecked it for everyone by incorporating rules, and it's just annoying. About as annoying as moderators on Reddit rejecting posts. I don't know. I feel people's pain. The Internet just ain't what it used to be.
  3. Anybody think Rosemary Winters looks like Magik from the Marvel universe? https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Rosemary_Winters
  4. Yeah. There's concept art about cut content from RE8 with Ada wearing a mask, and one thing that was left out is an appearance by Ada Wong (the spy from RE2, 4, etc). So it's possible that due to popular demand, she may be in the game. But I honestly don't know how her just showing up at random to assist the player makes sense. In RE4, yeah, she just showed up and helped Leon, but her mission was deeper than that, to procure a Las Plagas specimen. So I don't really like how Capcom is just inserting classic characters into these dumbass storylines, because it makes zero sense. Like in RE7, you never see any iconic characters until the very end. But to me, it felt made up. For fan service, really. But it's not very well structured. Because Ethan was the main character in an already disjointed sequel. They cart him off, so you can play Chris instead. But I think RE8 may be doing the same things.
  5. We're still waiting on what you have in store for us, Capcom. I don't want to die of old age before this DLC should arrive, Capcom. 😉 If they really were to add Ada Wong into the game, that would feel so out of place, but they had intended to have her in the game. Uh... RE4, much!? 😛
  6. Did y'all have a great start to 2022? 😇 I happened to see this the other day... https://gamingbolt.com/capcom-talks-about-dlc-plans-for-resident-evil-village-and-monster-hunter-rise-in-2022/amp 😚 Oh, and this. Do gimme! Although I think there should have been a follow up with different characters, rather than a full remake. Although in terms of quality, you can depend on Naughty Dog, as Capcom is inclined to just whore out the same trash. https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/the-last-of-us-ps5-remake-is-nearly-finished-and-could-release-in-2022-its-claimed/amp/
  7. Remember when people seen the leaks and assumed she was the main boss? I even believed the rumours that she was Alex Wesker. But oh well. You know how Capcom adds in throwaway villains these days, so you can't expect a proper continuation of any storyline they think up.
  8. I'll admit it: Lady Dimitrescu was a great boss. Got to love the way she turns into a black dragon thing. Let's keep telling Capcom this belongs in RE! 😛 https://venturebeat.com/2021/12/27/resident-evil-village-wins-the-not-perfect-but-most-memorable-award-for-2021/
  9. Pre-Destruction RE2 RE3 Post-Destruction RE: Outbreak RE: Outbreak #2 (technically just an expansion) ^ These are the only good spin off games that feature Raccoon City... 😞 Because we also received this nonsense, too... Resident Evil (first movie, with Alice in the city near the end) RE: Operation Raccoon City RE: Apocalypse (2nd RE movie, by Paul Anderson) Umbrella Corps (****ing online multiplayer trash!) RE: Degeneration (first released animated movie, with a flashback) RE2 remake RE3 remake The Ghost Survivors (DLC in RE2) Resident Evil: Resistance (DLC in RE3) Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021 movie reboot) Resident Evil (New Netflix series, but not sure of its name, although it may just be simply "Resident Evil") *I probably shouldn't bother adding any DLC. But... yeah. It's sad how Capcom keeps milking Raccoon City, and soon to be RE4, and no doubt other games... 😛 So there you have it. It's a case of Capcom ripping off other games and films for their sequels, that are not related to Raccoon City. But basically, this is all they keep on doing. So if they are ever to well and truly move things ahead, they need to stop going back to 1998. Because I don't care how popular the old games are. Just play those said old games, and don't buy the new crap that is being made, because Capcom is only interested in receiving your hard earned dosh...
  10. Today I'm gonna party like it's 1999. At least RE was still scary then. That's also the year Capcom destroyed Raccoon City in the canon. Well, it was in 1998 in the story, but RE3 was released in 1999. Rather than moving on, they've revisited Raccoon City countless times. That wouldn't be such a bad thing, if the various mediums were good. Besides maybe the Outbreak games, I have struggled to understand why people like the remakes, as they changed the story. And they cannot keep saying RE2 is better than 3, as they are both just as guilty of changing everything from the originals.
  11. Well, in the UK, we have a shop simply called Game. However, my local Game was turned into a Savers. This is likely because people buy things online now, but I think there's still a branch at Fort Kinnaird, which is also local to myself. For DVDs, I used to love going to the big HMV on Princes Street. Unfortunately, it closed down years ago, so now there's really only Fopp on Rose Street, besides cash in hand shops dotted about all over. But Fopp has categories, making it easier to browse through them. I'm sure HMV owns Fopp as a subsidiary. But HMV still has a site.
  12. Merry Christmas, VGR, from Candy Stick! 👾 Where's our RE8 DLC, Capcom? Ah, well. Maybe we'll get it next Christmas. 🤣
  13. Yeah... Like, none of these zealots probably even played any of the games from the classic era, which I consider to be everything that Crapcom released prior to 2005. These goats are ridiculous. Like they're really gonna hunt around on eBay for rare games when they probably sit in their mother's basement all day, guzzling junk food and soda, playing Call of Duty. They will probably act like they have gone out and bought every entry, and completed them dozens of times to unlock all of the achievements, to make themselves seem like they're coming across online as being genuine fans. But after observing some of their excuses on other forums and YouTube, I seriously doubt that's the case. The reason I know they're more than likely talking crap, is because the first thing they moan about is the tank controls and the fixed camera perspective, even though all RE games to date have some variation of the tank like controls anyway. They always act like RE4 is so innovative as well, when that was not innovation that Capcom themselves founded to further the survival horror genre. Because take it from me. Capcom basically enjoyed copying other shooting games of the era, to take credit for something they didn't begin. Now it's not just shooting games they rip off. I've been noticing stuff they unapologetically copied from games made by rival companies, and they add in homages to horror movies, and this made me lose respect for Capcom. Not to mention some Dutch film director is probably going to issue a lawsuit, like this artist is that they also stole images from with the same file names. It's not that they're paying homage at all. They're basically stealing people's ideas and hard work, and claiming that it's to pay tribute, when it's really because they have no creativity. I mean, RE is my favourite franchise of all time. But I'm not like 90% of the fan base out there that defends Capcom because I have to support them and fall in line like every shill on YouTube is doing. If I notice Capcom is being deceitful by saying RE8 had more action oriented gameplay because RE7 was "too scary" and whatnot, I cannot sit back and pretend that's not Capcom trying to make asses out of their fans. RE8 is an action game, because it's a complete copy of RE4, which is an action horror game. Notice how I don't call it a horror action game? The two words are in reverse, because at heart, RE4 was an action game that used an established name to get over with gamers... Merry Christmas, you guys. Regards, from Knight Plug. 🙃
  14. LOL. I do run into some real funny buggers online sometimes... I went on the RE wiki, on Fandom. I made a post stating my opinions about the remakes, and this first person jive. Then this guy replied 7 or so times, with dumb points, but whatever. It's just their counter thoughts, I suppose, so it wasn't like I was gonna start flaming anybody for anything they said, as fans of a franchise probably like a series for different reasons, and I'm fine with that provided they can display civility. Then after I answered him, I talked about how I think Naughty Dog did a better job than Capcom, with their The Last of Us games, just because of their overall presentation. Also mentioned a few YouTubers who stated that they really didn't enjoy RE8 that much, and he thought they were the same user, despite sounding absolutely NOTHING alike. They're just both black guys. 😄 Basically had the dude implying I was trolling, or not answering him properly, so he took his ball and left the thread. I was like, never again will I waste my time on any more Internet radge pots. But to be honest, I've wanted to quit dumbass forums like that for a while, as they can start to affect your mental health. Although I guess a severe lack of activity elsewhere just made me want to test the waters by going back there to post something. But I mean, nah. It's really not worth the bother anymore. 😣
  15. I forgot the woman's name, who had her father turning into a lycanthrope. But I remember people thought she was one of the main characters, only to be killed off in the burning house. Not sure if they would do story DLC for villagers, since they died anyway. But it will probably be about Chris going to the BSAA in Europe, to find the staff were replaced by bioweapons. Or something like that. 😆
  16. Well, that's 2021 about ready to close out. So I hope Capcom has some update on the DLC in a month, or so.
  17. Once I find my AV to HDMI switcher, I may go and play some old survival horror games like RE2 again, really soon. It's been ages... :)
  18. Lady Dimitrescu wishes us all a Merry Christmas, and a great start to 2022. 🙂 I'd just like Capcom to announce the DLC soon... 😄
  19. I know. LOL. This is the same company that apparently said they get concepts for their remakes from Wikipedia. WIKIPEDIA! They're kidding, right? *Shakes my head in disgust. 🤭
  20. Capcom claims that RE8 has more action after "complaints" of 7 being too scary. That's utter nonsense. RE4 is not even that scary. I know RE8 is almost a scene for scene repeat of that game's story anyway. They made it practically identical to attract more sales. To their credit, I guess they were quite successful. But I think 4 is much more enjoyable than 8, or 5 slightly, and certainly way more than 6 and 7.
  21. In 2017, they were going to release the bulk of the DLC in March. Not a Hero and End of Zoe. For some reason, they messed up what they were working on, and ended up delaying most of it until December that year. So I reckon the RE8 stuff will probably be available by Easter, at the latest. I'm just guessing here, going off of the 9 months we waited some 4 years ago. Seems odd to release DLC for a game that released back in May, almost a year later... I wish RE8 was more of a true sequel to 7, in that it continued the story with the Connections, and why Lucas Baker was going to betray them. But I guess it was a continuation, for Ethan. But everything with Chris just feels like it's there so it's still able to be called RE. Because, really. Chris being in the games now, is just something tacked on so that any long term fans will still enjoy seeing primary heroes as side characters, even if the plot is like dog muck. But honestly, if he didn't show up, I don't believe that people would really purchase RE games for some faceless main character like this Ethan Winters. Plus, we all miss Roger Craig Smith as Chris. I don't like the fact they hired the guy who did Carlos in RE3 to voice Chris, as he sounds absolutely nothing like how Chris was speaking before.
  22. Nope. Sorry. Absolutely yada so far. Several State of Play events have came and went over the months. Yet nothing about the DLC they initially revealed at E3 has been confirmed. Although Capcom didn't specify what it was going to be about. So my guess is as good as anybody's.
  23. Chris doesn't trust them in RE7. But I think he was really only in that game for the fan service anyway. I thought the story in that game was a little 'off' to me. Chris spent the whole franchise with Jill, opposing Umbrella. If he is being screwed over, I think Chris would know never to associate with the name in general. It doesn't help that Capcom makes up a new storyline for every sequel, so that everything feels disjointed. Chris hardly even feels like the same character anymore.
