Do you prefer games where health, etc. regenerates, or not?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't want things handed to me, but Twisted Metal needs health, or you probably wouldn't make it through that many levels in the game. -
Will the metaverse replace the real world?

I don't feel that the real world will ever completely go away, but there will be more options for shut ins in the future. -

If it's a game like a Twisted Metal game, you should have to go seek out health. I mean, vehicles don't just repair themselves. In something like an NBA game letting people rest on the bench for a few minutes should replenish some or all of their strength and stamina. I think it all depends on the game in question as to what's appropriate. -
I think that either the best Gran Turismo games or the best NASCAR games are among the bast racing games. I've completed four different GT games. I've won the NASCAR title in NASCAR '99. I came in seventh in points in NASCAR Racing 2 once, that game was hard. GT games are usually better than NASCAR games, especially when it comes to driving dynamics. Obviously GT games give you more car selection than NASCAR (which is down to three makes now). I'm usually more in the mood for a GT game, as I like to put money into a car and have an advantage on my opponents.

If one could install a Hoyle game pack they could play Yahtzee, Star Collector, or any number of other games.

Games with which you have a love-hate relationships?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Twisted Metal 2. It's a very likeable game, but it's just so hard. -
Right now I don't, but the newest console I have is a PS3.
-
Yeah, but I'm talking about once one already has a console and has to deal with the PlayStation Network.

I probably won't enter. I don't have any current gen consoles and my only nearby friend is always really busy. -
I don't, but I'll check it out.

Do you lose track of your surroundings when you game?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It just happens and it can cause an insect to crawl up my leg, which will then cause me to pause the game. -
Why are there not more placement ads in video games?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
If you play sports or auto racing games, ads in games and billboards and the like are more common. -
Does gaming usually regulate or dysregulated your mood?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I find that playing an all-time favorite game like GT6 or NBA Live '03 can really help my mood. Like I've said in other posts, these games are like comfort food to me, especially when I'm winning. -
What game have you spent the most time playing in 2021?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I watch the news and I keep hearing about identity theft on the PlayStation Network. Looks like I'm switching to X-Box after some research put into them. I'll still use my four old PlayStations that don't need the network so much, but I think I'll switch to X-Box for all future consoles. -
That all sounds awesome, but unless I can do it in secret I'm not doing it.

Yeah, but I still live with my parents and I don't want them to see me screw up again.

What is a game you feel has zero redeeming value?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I'm not going to say this game has zero redeeming value, but it doesn't have all that it should. The game I'm talking about is Ford Racing 2. The graphics are cheesy, the times are too hard to meet in time trial, even if you're driving damn near perfectly and the feel is wonky. I must say that it preserves Ford history well because you can use so many different cars that are 'legends of Ford.' I know I'm a Chevy fan, but this game stinks.
