Did gaming help prepare you for your career?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Thanks Heatman. One thing that video illustrates besides parallel parking is the Japanese car domination of the U.S. market. If only there had been better Ford Pintos and Chevy Vegas in the '70's, people would have just remained loyal to Ford and GM. -
I am. I don't think I've ever lost a trading card. I've lost toy cars on the playground, but most of them weren't that great. I did lose a couple of Majorette Cadillac limos. I'm kicking myself over losing them, but that was like 29 years ago when I was 8. The one thing I regret never getting as a kid would be a Larry Bird or Kevin McHale action figure.

At this point Junior Johnson had "Texas" Terry Labonte driving for him, one of my all time favorite drivers.

In America we hate parallel parking. That's why companies are creating cars with parallel park assist. -

I feel like driving games taught how to drive to a large extent also. You learn balance and car control by playing a good racing game. -
I watch YouTube videos a lot though.

Well the Mountain Dew version was built by the Junior Johnson race team for driver Darrell Waltrip. I forget my username too.

Who are the game devs/pubs you respect the most?

I feel like some gaming studios care more than others, but profit is always the end objective. -
Are games the most immersive form of entertainment for you?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I can be immersed in any entertainment option if the quality is good. -

Basically a Fiat 500. -
Thanks, I'll watch that video. And I wouldn't sell everything. I'd keep most of my NASCAR and GM die-cast.
-
Do you know of Darrell Waltrip's Mountain Dew Buick? It's the street version of that.

It's a pipe dream and I forgot my Youtube password.

At least people can still have love for the motor vehicle. -
My dad told me to learn Ebay, I'll eventually get on it.

I've been collecting since I was two or three and I'm into the hundreds now. I'm 37 years old.

What scenes in video games have made you cry?
Family sedan replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I know that this was an old old auto race and not a game, but the '01 Pepsi 400. This was Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s return to Daytona after his father's death and Jr. won. I watched a re-showing of it recently and had to fight back the tears. -
I'm hoping to learn Ebay.

It said 2019. -
I'm so wrapped up in collecting and deciding when and how to sell toy car die cast that I'm not considering collecting games as investments at the moment.
