It does. I can also sometimes see myself hanging out with these lets players, because they seem to be into the same stuff I am into. So yeah, I can see it being like that for sure.
I get that. I kinda got tired of watching some lets players, but there are some that I still check out from time to time. I watch Game Grumps because they can be entertaining, and I also watch Funhaus from time to time.
I sometimes watch my bro play, and he'll sometimes do the same if I play. But I mostly watch stuff through YouTube.
Nice. I think RDR2 would be a fun game to watch others play. I've played my share of it, but I do like seeing others experience it sometimes as well.
Yeah there's that too. Sometimes you can use it to learn how to get through a certain level or area.

When I am a novice via a particular game, that's when I'll simply gently sit closer to learn from experts, in order to balance how I'll play the game starting from the basics.

I can only imagine the thrill of time traveling to play an older console.

I'm still struggling with the use of analog in all generation of consoles that I have played on. It's more like they should exclude analog for me.

I am contented with the options I have now when it comes to video games. I don't buy much of the video games, I can simply play older generation of video games provided it is interesting.

I'm all in for that one. Let's say get a game from 50 years time into our reality now and see how we can progress in the future.

Ohh, I got you now, your D.O.B is in front. I know their are many gamers just like you, that prefer retro games too, I love retro gaming just like you.

That would be something right... Getting to have the feeling of what you never thought of. It's going to surreal and thrilling.

And to also let people know how cool gaming will be in the future. I think it'd be cool to bring a game from the future somehow and show them how advanced things really get. Imagine their reactions.

I feel like we get a lot of that with open world games these days. I mean Skyrim, just being 10 years old at this point (I think), is an exploration game. I'd argue that RDR1 and 2 are exploration games in a sense. But I get what you mean, you want games focussed on exploration only. I feel like a lot of point and click games worked in that genre. We don't see a lot of point and click games anymore.
I played a demo of it growing up, but always wondered about playing the full game. I'd love to see more rhythm based games that just use a controller and require timing.

If you rush into any battle without a prior preparation, the fight is going to bump you back off and frustration will kick in if you keep repeating the same thing. It's why I meticulously plan with a strategy before any execution.

I was once a rapper, but my parents discouraged me from furthering my musical career. So, at the moment I am more of a listener than a singer. But I love playing guitar hero, because my love for playing musical instruments is still alive.

It's not stressful to listen to other play than it is to actually play it by yourself. Music isn't that easy!!

That will simply give it's gamers wonderful feelings around the game they found the drive playing around. Eliminating the issue of nicro-transactions is a reasonable one indeed.

The producers and developers of Ghost of Tsushima said something about eliminating all manner of microtransactions in their next Ghost of Tsushima Legends. Let's see how that goes.

It feels good to pick up from where it ended years back via a video game. Going back to 70's Atari console games isn't a bad idea because that's what you've experienced earlier on.

Oh yeah, I'd grab up all of the classic gaming magazines as well. I wish I took better care of my magazines growing up, I had a decent collection. But I was the type to cut stuff out and make dumb art stuff as a kid. I'd go back and get the Electronic Gaming Monthlys, Nintendo Power and maybe that Sega magazine that came out years ago.
Also, I think I'd be into revisiting when I got my PlayStation as a kid. Just to revisit that feeling of getting the console and all the games. Idk, I think going back even further though would give me an even bigger nostalgia trip, because I didn't grow up when the NES was in its prime, and seeing the games and console brand new in the day, would be exciting.

I would love to have been my age when the Playstation came out, knowing what I do now. I would've made a point of drifting in gaming circles, buying up whatever print media I could on how it came to be, and just indulging in all the rumours and speculations of the time. Alternatively, seeing the Nintendo versus Sega wars would've been fantastic. If it's not too greedy, seeing the comings and goings of failed systems like the Virtual Boy and Atari Jaguar would've been phenominal as well.
How appropriate you ask this in December. It's Dickensian! The Ghosts of Console Past shall visit!

For a kid born in the 80's, going back to this time in their gaming history would really mean a whole lot. Video games then had more value and originality than what we play today.

Family sedan got a reaction from Withywarlock in Do you prefer a game to be historically accurate?
I like how GT does it.  You can buy a historic car as if it were brand new in GT6.  In older GT games you had used car lots.  Either way the info on a car will be historically accurate other than if there's typos.  I'm also fascinated by sports what ifs presented by basketball games and their decade all star teams.  These teams could say pair up Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain even though they were never NBA teammates.  It really depends on what game as to what my answer will be.

No, not even to go back to see what it was like to experience gaming for the very first time? I think that'd be unique. But I get that, wanting to go back to the games that started it all for you, a nostalgia trip. I grew up in the 90s, so those games are heavy on my mind, but to go back further and experience the rise in video games, would be cool I think.

If my drive around racing game continues, then I'll be rest assured that milestone motor GP series will simply keep me up to that long duration of time.

It's just like most of the football manager games that I have played and also the game Top Eleven Football Manager, even if I stay 20 years and get back to it, I would still play it very well like I never left.

The reason is because you've played the game severally in the past and master the key points in the game where to aim perfect and down enemies. So, it will be hard for what you know about the game to escape your memory.
