In that way, if we expect that playing games will teach us to be tolerant, than that would be a total misconception. Most of the games are based on extreme violence. No way, we can learn to be tolerant here. 😏

Human beings are always attracted to what gives them attention because it offers them a sense of belonging. It's just worrying when they do almost just about everything to get such attention even at the expense of others.

How about the ingenuity that was very visible in Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. It's a game that challenges a player to reconnect with how man evolved till date.

As is. I would never mod it. I already have the loan to buy one with the color scheme I always wanted. You can see her Here.

Yeah, that is what my point is. I am not that blind supporter of unnecessary microtransactions inserted in many AAA games, but we can't even deny that every developer of company is running After money. To keep their share price growing, they need to score better profits each passing quarter.

The only thing that I can very well say about video games helping me out with is learning how to drive IRL. I mastered how to drive by playing Need for Speed and Gran Turismo.

There is actually a very good possibility of this happening with some people with their career but I'd like to add that one's choose profession determines if gaming would help or not.

Yeah - That's actually how I believe that it is with most people but there is always going to be one that impacts more than the others.

Yeah - I do know about Darrell Waltrip's Mountain Dew Buick. It's a classic and very rare these days.

I get that - it's very very possible for those who makes it a habit to read far and wide. It's absolutely fascinating seeing such people.

I like that sort of thing. It's useful to distinguish items that you can collect or use from things that are just part of the background. I don't know about anyone else, but without that I'd end up trying to pick up/interact with everything that looks even remotely useful wasting hours of my life.

Survival is very important even to the enemies as well. Hell, I'd take on my heels too if it's what's going to save ass from certain death ☠.

Personally, I would probably stick with playing Ghost of Tsushima because of how thrilling the game gets for me.
Imagine getting thrilled at your work and still get paid for it as well.

That's the painful part when you get to start all over again doing what you had done before as a result of the loss.

It would be the worst time to go for PS5. Consoles as well as it's accessories will be charged high over their base price. Atleast we can wait for about 3 months, then we can clearly see the picture. If the price comes down, I would go for it. 😊

Yeah - I'm definitely not pushing for it now because I have far more pressing responsibilities to take care of now than getting a PS5 console.

I'm currently still stuck with my Playstation 4 console and I'm still very much enjoying playing with it. Yes, I'd like to have Playstation 5 but I'm never breaking the bank 🏦 to get it.

It's hard to say really because video games have a unique influence on every individual. One may become more tolerant, while another may experience the opposite effect and someone else isn't affected at all.

I think most people will be influenced by their peers in what games they play, so they most likely won't even be playing something that has a chance to open their eyes a little. The least tolerant people are going to play their 'cliche' games and the most tolerant people will play a wider variety that challenges thought. So gaming can help people become more tolerant if they already are tolerant which tend to be the younger generation. If they were to have a study using games in schools, I believe the results would be positive that students become more tolerant. But then anything like that would be designated critical race theory or more specifically critical thinking theory. Any critical thinking scares the hell out of people with the least toleration. They want to hold onto the adage that ignorance is bliss and shut down any awareness and completely demonize any that questions 'tradition,' or 'prejudiced tradition.'
But even in schools, if the school has no diversity, then playing a game to help toleration levels gets washed out afterward because of their peers. Then parents will attack schools accusing awareness of prejudice to be an attempt of indoctrination. So the younger generation has a higher chance to learn toleration from games, but they are too protected by oppressive elders. In a diverse environment with all walks of life, it could help. But then again those people will already have a higher toleration level. In principle-I say yes to your question. In practicality- I say no because of peers.

It's not even only that but in a situation where it's supposed to aid you in wining a game race, it ends up making you loser.

Seriously - when it comes to the menu, it's not necessarily a very big deal but with the car control, it's something that you can't have a workaround. If it's bad, you're doomed.

You're right especially when the vehicle in question is supposed to be realistic replica of it's real life counterpart. It should have the same handling as well.

I agree completely. In addition to that, character customization is pretty limited in modern games as well. I like games that allow me the freedom to create the character I want with no restrictions.
