Some people lack attention span or play while wasted and forget. A little review is good though. It's like reading a book and 20 chapters later some things are summarized a little bit before moving on. In the game, they could at least be creative with it instead of just repeating the same thing.

It's the same for me for the most part. Once I start playing them again, it's like I never stopped playing it.

Yeah - gaming gives you the ability to live out your wildest imagination and especially games that you can mod, you can let your imagination run wild and create anything.

A game is interesting and most people aren't. A game doesn't judge and most people do. For me it's aggression when someone is face to face talking to me. And it's funny because I try to turn or look away, and they think I'm not listening and move back right in front of me. And it becomes even more aggressive and I face the other way, and still they get in my face. It's weird. When I think about putting myself in their shoes, and I see them look away, I'll naturally try to change my tone or make the conversation more interesting or just say something funny. But to get back in front of someone while I'm talking and to pretty much force eye contact is just not in me to do unless I'm angry and arguing. For the most part, people are just lame. lol. No humor, no personality, nothing interesting. Blah blah blah. So don't beat yourself up over it cause if people can't get your attention, then it's them.

It's the opposite for me because what the NPCs normally say and do is so predictable that I lose interest whereas interacting with people tends to be rather unpredictable by nature which entertains me more. However, I completely understand your point of view because you suffer from social anxiety and most of us have a mild form of it. The key is to just stop overthinking the interaction and just enjoy it for what it is.

Retro games bring a lot nostalgia with it especially for us older gamers. In addition to that, getting into retro gaming is significantly easier than modern games and they don't have any microtransaction systems so that also makes retro games extremely appealing.

Do choices in games matter if they don’t change outcomes? To me, they still do, because the value of a choice to me is in doing what I feel is right or necessary, not the outcome I cannot control.

Not at all although I can see both sides of the argument because you could change your mind and get something else but you can easily sell the game if you no longer want it. On the other hand, you don't know when that particular game might get a deal in the future - it could be years after you get the console which is rather inconvenient.

So you are a car freak, even your username suppose so. That's great. 😊
So, you have caprice and imapala both? That's nice. I really like cruze, but that is too costly in my place and out of my budget. I now own Hyundai i20. 😊

When you're race tactics is linked with speed and quick velocity movements, then lightweight cars are definitely going to be your thing.

Yeah, I think it's why some gamers still collected them till date. Imagine showing your great grandkids some years later.

Mercedes is a good option that I don't usually overlook that easily. I really do love that car.

There are plenty of active gaming communities but you won't find one that's non-toxic and as helpful as VGR. I've been on quite a few and this is the first place where everyone for the most part gets along or at least acts civil towards each other. I've even seen forum members get doxxed by the moderator before in another community just because they had an opposing view.

    Chaotic good
I only respect laws as long as I agree with them morally. And if someone does me wrong, or someone else I feel protective of, then all bets are off.

Totally agree - I serve the greater good but I don't do things by the book. I personally prefer to deal out my own brand of justice.

Family sedan reacted to The Blackangel in Are games ever going to be so photorealistic they're confused with real life?
Either way, I just hope not. Photorealism would only take away the reason of playing a video game. It's supposed to be an escape, not a tryout for the KC Chiefs, or entry into the Indy 500. It's supposed to teleport us somewhere that the most advanced weapons are swords and bows. It just removes all enjoyment to me. If it's going to do that, then it may as well all be moved strictly to competitions. It's no longer enjoyment anyway. Because by that time, they won't be worried about making a good entertaining game. They'll only be worried about the graphics of the shit game they're about to release.
Photorealism will be the downfall of gaming.

A lot of games these days are getting to the point where photorealism is close to the real thing. But, most games you can still tell they're games. But, what if we ever get to a point where video games are so photorealistic, that it causes people to believe it's real. I can't wait to play games that are photorealistic. But, then again, idk. It may be too uncanny to play something that looks so real. Especially if it involves combat, guns and stuff. Imagine horror games, my goodness that'd up the fear factor for sure.

This is going to sound silly, but don't judge, I just go by feeling. If I feel like thinking I play strategies, if I feel like chilling I play sim games that are like CitySkylines or some random silly game like among us.

I'm definitely not going to use Eeny Meeny Miny Moe pattern to choose a game to play. What happens if it falls on a horrible game I never want to play again? 🙄

That’s not even all my games. I didn’t list PS2, 360, Game Cube, Wii, DS/3DS, or Game Gear. There’s a few other systems here that I don’t really play much anymore, but I can’t think of what they are at the moment. Anyway, from what I listed above, I have more Mario Kart games than anything else, so that would probably seem to be the obvious answer. But in all honesty, I kinda like F-Zero a lot. Pole Position is a lot of fun too. Grand Prix and Indy 500 have always been a great time.
