I love when Conan does these clueless gamer videos. I don't think he's done them in a while, so it's a nice little surprise. In this one they are playing Death Stranding: The Director's Cut. It's so cool he was actually in the original game. Oh and I hear he will be back in the sequel. So even better. :)

Platypus Reclayed is a remake of the classic horizontal shooter game Platypus that came out 23 years ago on PC. Man I feel old saying that lol. This new remake has been revamped from the ground up according to game designer Anthony Flack. It also has claymation style graphics that look pretty cool. I guess the original game had the same style of graphics. I've never played the game myself, but it does look like it'd be fun to play. It's coming soon to PC, you can find their steam page for the game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2912430/Platypus_Reclayed/

Source of story: https://insider-gaming.com/battlefield-6-playtests/ It looks like EA and DICE are hard at work to make Battlefiled 6 the best it can be. To do this, they are putting the game through extensive playtests in order to prevent another Battlefield 2042 debacle. In the past the team said they wanted to go back to roots of the franchise, by providing 64 player limits and all our destruction in a modern setting. They are taking this one serious, as they have many studios working on it, like; DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect. Will Battlefield 6 be good? Will all this preparation and planning work out and bring us back to what worked best in Battlefield?

Augmented Empire is a turned-based VR/MR, RPG Strategy game from the people at CoatSink. The game has been out since 2018 for the Oculus brand of VR headsets. CoatSink just dropped an updated version of the game for current Meta Quest VR headsets, including the Quest 2, 3, & 3S. Has anyone here played this game? It doesn't look like something I'd be all that into, because I'm not too into turned based strategy games, and I don't know how well it'd play in VR.

I haven't heard of Garten of Banban before, but saw a post on a site about the sixth game in the series. But after further reading, I found out that it's a series of games that mostly all came out in 2023. The first 4 games all came out in 2023. The 5th game shows as coming soon on Steam, but the 6th and 7th game are for sale. And there's an 8th game coming soon and another game called Garten of Banban 0. Has anyone here played this series? Worth checking out? You can find the games on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2232840/Garten_of_Banban/ this is the first one, but going to their developer tag, will show the other games.

Good news for Control fans, as the game is getting a sequel, and it'll be more of an action RPG. Not only that, but they are releasing a new update for the original Control that will unlock previously released content. And Mac users are getting Control: Ultimate Edition, which will release in February. More on this news here: https://noisypixel.net/control-2-action-rpg-2025-update/ and below.

Mare is a VR puzzle adventure game from the team at Lonekite Games. You play as an artificial bird tasked with teaming up with a young girl to navigate the world ahead of you. It sounds like a fun time, and looks good. It's been out on Steam since 2022 and available on Meta Quest since 2021, but has just recently come out for PS VR 2. Has anyone played this VR game yet? Is it worth checking out?

Source - https://mp1st.com/news/report-back-4-blood-2-in-development-with-codename-gobi-2 Turtle Rock Studios is working on a sequel to Back 4 Blood, the spiritual success to Left 4 Dead. The codename for the new project is "Gobi 2". It seems one of the actor/stuntmen Jesse Hutch, who is involved in Back 4 Blood is also involved in this "Gobi 2" project. It is said he did motion capture for B4B, and likely is doing similar work on this project. And the big icing on the cake, is that the original games codename was "Gobi". So if we're going off of that, I'd assume "Gobi 2" will be B4B2. Do you think there is a need for a sequel though? I feel like with this one, they could easily keep updating it and improving upon it. But then again I don't remember if B4B had good sales. So maybe a sequel is a good idea, idk. What do you guys think?

Has anyone here played Access Denied: Escape? It's kind of a short puzzle game where the intention is to hack data vaults by interacting with various devices in order to escape. So, essentially an escape game. It's from the devs at Stately Snail who've made a bunch of indie like games. It's available on PC via Steam and Epic Games, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Switch.

Urban Strife is an upcoming early access old school style turn-based strategy game from White Pond Games. It also has some RPG elements as well. It's coming to Steam EA on December 10th. It looks like it'd be a lot of fun.

Unionized ZeniMax workers who've worked on franchises like Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Doom are going on a one-day strike over bargaining issues with Microsoft. It's mainly to do with remote work and for the fact Microsoft might be outsourcing quality assurance work without first bargaining with the union. The union fighting Microsoft is ZeniMax Workers United-CWA. You can read more about this here - https://www.ign.com/articles/fallout-elder-scrolls-and-doom-workers-go-on-strike-in-protest-at-parent-company-microsoft

Chicken Police: Into the HIVE! is a new point-and-click detective game, or as they call it, a point-and-cluck game. lol. It's from The Wild Gentlemen who are a development team in Hungary. Their publisher in the US happens to be Joystick Ventures. Also I didn't know this, but it seems to be a sequel. It's available now on Steam.

Another day, another problem for Ubisoft. This time around they are facing a class action lawsuit over The Crew shutdown. The servers for the game were shutdown back in December of 2023, resulting in the game essentially being useless. By April 2024, players couldn't even play the game. The game doesn't have an offline mode, and it seems fans were hoping for at least that. Two people brought the lawsuit up earlier this month in an attempt to create a class action lawsuit over the fact that gamers were mislead about ownership and licensing. Ubisoft did give out refunds to people who recently purchased the game, but those who had the game since release, did not qualify for a refund. Article source - https://mp1st.com/news/ubisoft-faces-class-action-lawsuit-over-the-crew-shutdown I think it is sad to see games like this not support an offline mode so people can further enjoy it when it's no longer supported. Also, it would have been even cooler if they allowed gamers to open up their own servers for these games, to give more life to this game and others like it. There's a bit community of gamers out there who keep old online games alive, I'm sure they could do the same here. Let the gamers open it up to their own servers.

So it's sort of been confirmed that an Xbox handheld is coming, but don't expect it for a while yet, as Phil Spencer himself says it could be a few years away from release. Spencer was interviewed by Bloomberg, where he brought up that they are working on prototypes currently. So it's still in the early stages. But it's more than we've gotten in recent years, as there's been rumors of a Xbox Handheld for years, but now we sort of have a confirmation. Would you buy an Xbox Handheld? I think I would if it was priced near what the Steam Deck and whatever the Switch 2 will go for. Source - https://insider-gaming.com/xbox-handheld-confirmed-phil-spencer/

Source - https://mp1st.com/news/pizza-chain-transforms-your-ps5-into-a-pizza-warmer-with-free-3d-printed-design You guys remember the KFConsole that was a custom built PC with an actual chicken warmer built in. Well now Pizza Hut has created a 3D print of a pizza warmer that can be used on your PS5. Of course you will need a 3D printer capable of printing it, but it's free otherwise. You can download the 3D print here: https://pizzahutpizzawarmer.ca/ Would you print something like this? I think it's funny, but I don't think I would do this.

From - https://www.techspot.com/news/105500-scalpers-struggling-resell-playstation-5-pro-because-stock.html The article above discusses how scalpers are having a hard time to resell PlayStation 5 Pro consoles because the console is in stock at most retailers. Makes me happy to hear that, especially with how often scalpers screw people over. Now that there is actual available stock, these scalpers can't abuse the system to their advantage. Due to this, scalpers have had to lower their prices to have a chance to make sales or make out even. I think the big reason for this is most people already have a PS5, and don't need a pro, and some just don't want one for that price. I feel the demand isn't as big as it was with the original PS5 console and the slim. But it's good to see scalpers lose out once in a while.

Unknown 9: Awakening is a new action adventure game from Reflector Entertainment and Bandai Namco. It stars actress Anya Chalotra as the main character, who you may know from the Witcher TV series. Check out the cinematic trailer below. It released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X last month. Sadly it doesn't seem to be getting the greatest of reviews, and it kind of looks like it's going a bit under the radar. I have a feeling people will forget about this one fairly soonish. But idk, has anyone here played it yet? Worth checking out?

Death of the Reprobate is a Rabelaisian (no idea what that means) adventure game that uses real Renaissance art for their graphics. The developer says it's like Monkey Island meets Monty Python. This is kind of a sequel to his other games Four Last Things and The Procession to Calvary. I've heard of the latter, but never played it myself. Check the trailer below to get an idea of what the game is like. As well, you can find the game on steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1739900/Death_of_the_Reprobate/

Dumb Ways: Free For All is a new game from the Dumb Ways to Die world I guess. This is a new VR game that allows you to play with 5 other players, or solo if you want, in up to 50 minigames. All being free-for-all like minigames. It looks like it'd be a lot of fun. Is this something you could see yourself playing? It seems to be out only on the Meta Quest right now.

What would you guys say is the best alternative to a Steam Deck? I want to get a handheld that can play PC games, but I am not sure if I want to get the Steam Deck just yet. I have my eye on the MSI Claw right now, but also I have looked into the ROG Ally from Asus as well. Are there any other competitors in the market that are worth looking into? I'm leaning more towards something like the MSI Claw than the ROG Ally, as I hear Asus's customer support for hardware issues is pretty bad. I don't know a lot on the MSI Claw, but the hardware I hear isn't as good as what the ROG Ally offers. But I am interested in hearing what other PC handhelds are out there, any suggestions for alternatives? Or should I just go for the Steam Deck and call it a day?

Kojima Productions Now Has Full Ownership of Death Stranding IP
Kane99 posted a topic in Gaming News
This is great news, and I think a big win for Kojima Productions. Recently Kojima Productions did a surprise release of Death Stranding on the Xbox Series X|S today, and it was later revealed that Kojima Productions now has full ownership of the IP for Death Stranding. Which means the DS2 could release on all consoles and PC right out the gate going forward, unless there is a timed exclusivity for it, which I could see Sony doing. I'm hearing it's also releasing for the Amazon Luna platform. You can read about this news here: https://twistedvoxel.com/kojima-productions-now-has-full-ownership-of-death-stranding-ip/ -
Eternal Strands is an upcoming fantasy action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games. Use abilities like fire and ice to take on enemies. You also have telekinetic powers to throw items like trees and boulders. It looks like a pretty decent action adventure. It's coming out Q1 of 2025 for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games.

Two Falls (Nishu Takuatshina) is an upcoming narrative adventure game from the team at Unreliable Narrators. The game lets you explore a 17th century Canadian wilderness. You play a French woman named Jeanne, who is trying to start a new life in a new land. It looks interesting, would anyone here play this? It's coming out November 8th for Steam and Epic Games.
