  1. Has anyone here played the original Shadows of the Damned? Well it's getting a remastered version called Hella Remastered, and it releases on Halloween. Check out the trailer below.
  2. Source - https://www.gamesradar.com/games/microsoft-gaming-laid-off-over-2-500-workers-this-year-but-it-still-found-enough-spare-change-to-give-its-ceo-a-usd79-million-bonus/ This is why the gaming industry is the way it is. They can lay-off thousands of workers in the industry, but these companies CEOs really need a bump of $79M in bonuses? It makes absolutely no sense that a company is losing money and have to fire their employees, only to give their CEO millions upon millions. Something needs to be done, these game studios should have have CEOs, COOs, or any big time person in charge making near that much in bonuses. Hell I don't even think they deserve to be paid near that yearly even. Anyway, this is in regards to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, who got a 62% pay rise for the fiscal year. The same article also discusses how Microsoft even had a market cap of $3 trillion last year. So idk why they have to lay anyone off. You'd think with that type of money coming it, they'd be able to keep most, if not all of their employees on board and pay them all handsomely. But, lets be honest, they wouldn't ever do that, because they're all greedy over there.
  3. Source - https://www.dualshockers.com/review-bombing-ban-ftc/ The FTC has recently released new rules on the proper way to review games going forward. It's being done as a way to stop reviewing bombing by providing legit reviews only, as in reviews by people who have played the actual media. They are enacting six (6) rules that reviewers will have to follow when leaving a review. I'll try to explain the rules, but the link above probably does a much better job. Anyway, here goes: It's prohibited to provide Fake or false consumer reviews, consumer testimonials, and celebrity testimonials. It's prohibited to buy positive or negative reviews - as in studios can't pay the publication/content creators for a good review. It's prohibited to do insider reviews and consumer testimonials - People who may have family working in a company, or people working in the company having them doing a review. Company-controlled review websites - Usually companies that own their own games, reviewing their own is what I'm getting from this. review suppression" via intimidation is now prohibited. misuse of fake social media indicators - Essentially buying and selling followers on social media for engagement That's the best I can explain the rules.

  5. It's Only Money is a new open world simulation RPG game with 4 player co-op from the people at Very Positive. The game just released on Steam the other day. I assume it was in early access, as the full release just dropped. If so, who here has played it during early access? Worth checking out?

    Edens Zero

Edens Zero is a new action RPG from Konami based on the popular Manga of the same name by Hiro Mashima. I can't say I've ever heard of the series, but maybe there's some fans here? It's dropping sometime in 2025 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Check out the trailer below.
  8. Has anyone here played this game? It's from Perfectly Paranormal, the same team that brought us Meet Samuel, who happens to be in this game as well. Your purpose as an angel trapped on earth, forced to live in a timeloop until she can save Heaven. The game looks interesting. Who here has played it? Worth checking out? It's available on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

    Kill Knight

Kill Knight is a new isometric action shooter from PlaySide. It's currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S and Switch. And it's a pretty cheap price at only $15. Looks like a game I'd get into. Has anyone here played it yet?
  10. FBC: Firebreak is an upcoming 3 player co-op FPS from Remedy Entertainment. I wasn't expecting that, but I'm happy to see Remedy doing a multiplayer FPS like this. I can see myself playing this. It's coming out for PC (Steam & Epic Games), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. And the cool thing is, it'll launch day one on Xbox Gamepass and PlayStation plus. No official release date yet though.
  11. This looks good, Xbox is cooking! It's an upcoming RPG that combines a soulslike game with an extraction game. Coming in 2025 for the PC and Xbox Series X|S. The Norse theme going on here.
  12. This is a post from Altar of Gaming that you can view here - https://altarofgaming.com/playstation-2-weird-games/ It's a list of 11 weird and strange PS2 games. Have you played any of these games? Out of this list, I'm really only aware of Mister Mosquito and maybe Mad Maestro. The rest are all new to me. Do you recognize any of them? First four on the list are: Chulip Mister Mosquito Under The Skin Demolition Girl
  13. Bloober Team may be hyped up recently due to their success with the new Silent Hill 2 remake, but they aren't done there as they have a new sci-fi survival horror gaming coming in 2025. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic Poland in the 1980s and includes time travel. The trailer is below. It looks pretty good, but it's mostly cinematic, and there is a hint of gameplay near the end, but it's not much. It's coming out for PC (steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
  14. I do not have my collection insured or anything. Then again I don't know if I have enough games to be insured there. But I guess I'll have to look into it further. Anyway, have any of you's insured your gaming collections? How was the process? Did you ever have to file a claim on damages or loss? I bring this up because I watched a recent video from Lazy Game Reviews about how his house was damaged during the recent hurricanes. He lost a fair deal of his collection to water damage. A tree or two fell on his house resulting in water to come in. Games, PCs, and other tech items were affected by it. You can check the video of him taking a tour through the damage, it's pretty sad, but I'm glad he is in good spirits. I think it just goes to show that maybe it's a good idea to get your collections insured. Whether those collections are for video games or anything else. I think it's a good idea to be insured if you're a collector. Because you never know when natural disasters like this occur.
  15. Did anyone play the VR game Arizona Sunshine? It came back for PC in 2016 and I believe PSVR back in 2017. But now there is a remake coming for PSVR2 and PC via steam. It's simply called Arizona Sunshine Remake and it just dropped today for PC and PSVR 1 (PS4) and 2 (PS5). Who here plans to pick this remake up?

    Deathbound

Deathbound is a new Soulslike game, but in this game you can play with a party of people that you can switch to them whenever you want to. It's from the team at Trialforge Studio. This seems to be their biggest title yet, at least compared to their catalog of games available on Steam. You can find the game here on steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1277130/Deathbound/ It also looks to be available on Epic Games, GOG, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
  17. The Analogue 3D is an upcoming 4K Nintendo 64, that can play the whole N64 catalog of games. This console works on the carts, so you can play the games you already know. The Analogue team is known for producing modern takes on retro consoles. They did it for the Gameboy with their Analogue Pocket handheld consoles. It was supposed to come out this year, but the date for release was pushed back into 2025. But since the delay, they have released images of the console, and it looks pretty decent. It has 4 controller slots like the N64 did. Pre-orders for the console open up on the 21st though, so you can pre-orders this as soon as next week, and you can do so here: https://store.analogue.co/products/analogue-3d-black It will cost you $249.99. A pretty heft price I'd say, but I think if you're an N64 fan, you might be interested in something like this. Learn more about the console here: https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/analogue-3d-nintendo-64-emulation-announcement/

    Neva

Neva is a new action/adventure platformer from Devolver Digital that just released today. You may know them from making the popular game Gris. Check the trailer out below.
  19. With the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, it made me wonder if we'll end up seeing a Silent Hill 1 and 3 remake next? I think Konami will definitely work on some remakes going forward, and the Silent Hill series is likely to be picked over. I bet we'll end up seeing a remake of 3 before 1 and maybe even a remake of 4 at some point. Do you think the full series will get a remake? I know there are other Silent Hill games coming, but those are completely new games. Do you think we'll get remakes of some of the other Silent Hill games? Do you think we'll see remakes of Downpour or Homecoming? Maybe Shattered Memories?
  20. Phoenix Springs is a new point and click adventure game where you play a tech journalist who is looking for her missing brother. If you're a fan of the old style LucasArts and Sierra games, you will probably like this game. It's currently available on Steam for PC, Mac and Linux. Check out the game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1973310/Phoenix_Springs/

    Ahro

Check out this 2D side scroller where you can release your spirit to open areas of the world and find hidden items. It seems pretty basic, but looks like a relaxing game to jump into. And it's cheap at only $11.99 on Steam and Switch.
  22. Source - https://www.ign.com/articles/forget-switch-2-nintendo-just-released-a-100-interactive-alarm-clock-called-alarmo This is actually kind of cool, Nintendo is releasing a $100 alarm clock called Alarmo that will release in early 2025. But, if you're a Nintendo Switch Online user in the US and Canada, you can purchase it right now on the Nintendo Shop. But it'll probably go fast, it's already sold out in Japan to where they have to do a lottery to pick the next set of buyers. You can buy it here - https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/nintendo-sound-clock-alarmo-121311/ Is this something you plan to buy? It reminds me of when they released the new Game and watch handhelds recently, the ones that worked like a clock too. This is hands down way cooler imo. What do you think about it?
  23. If you guys know, the new Until Dawn remake just dropped on the 4th, and ever since Sony has decided to remove the original version that dropped for the PS4. It's alleged that in some regions the original version of Until Dawn is not available for purchase, meaning people are forced to pay for the new remake in order to experience it. Fans seem mixed on the new game too, some dealing with bugs, glitches and other problems. I've watched a comparison video of the original and the remake played together and it doesn't look all that much better. Sure the character models look awesome, but the environment and locations all look dark and boring in comparison to the original game. Colors look muted and lifeless. I honestly think the original looked better. What do you think though of studios releasing a remake and then removing the original game from purchase? Especially when the original was much cheaper and doesn't look all that much different. You can read more on this news here: https://www.videogamer.com/news/playstation-removes-og-until-dawn-from-sale/ What are your views on this? It reminds me of when Rockstar removed the original GTA games (III, Vice City, San Andreas) from marketplaces after they released the horrible GTA trilogy remaster. I think Sony owes it to fans to put the original version back up for sale.
  24. Source - https://mp1st.com/news/wb-games-montreal-working-on-new-aaa-game-set-in-the-dc-universe It's being said that WB Games Montreal is working on a new AAA game in the DC Universe. I guess some job listings revealed the details that a game was in the works, but there is no details about what the game could be. I doubt it'll be a Batman game, but maybe we'll get something new, maybe a Flash game, or some other DC character. I hope it's not something like Superman or something. What do you think it could be? Though, it's by the same team that did Gotham Knights, so it might be a sequel to that for all we know.
  25. Got some cool news to share, the developers of Alien: Isolation have announced that a sequel is in the works as we speak, it's currently in early development. The announcement was made on Twitter, and you can view it below. https://twitter.com/AlienIsolation/status/1843305291322200488 This was announced on the 10th anniversary of the game. Crazy to think it's been 10 years already.
