Top 10 Hated Video Game Companies Fans Used To Love
Kane99 replied to The Blackangel's topic in Gaming Forum
Also, I think cd projekt red got a lot of hate as of late because of the issues with cyberpunk. Sounds like they're trying to make things right by fixing things and releasing dlc. But I think there is still some dislike on them that they will have to fix. A great game that's mostly big free would be a good start. -
Videogame Franchises that outstayed their welcome?
Kane99 replied to Yaramaki's topic in Gaming Forum
Yeah, which is why I don't see it happening. To be possible, they'd have to tame it up a lot. And I don't think fans would want to see that. I mean I would, but I'm not the biggest nuke fan anyway. But I know fans love him for his humor and style. It may have aged poorly, but he still has a place in gaming history. -
I tried to play shenmue 1 and I couldn't get into it. Controls felt stiff and slow. I'm not used to playing games like that anymore, because it feels like a chore. Or maybe I'm just not into those types of games. I might just watch a playthrough of it. I'm too lazy to play it. Lol.

It's currently on sale for $18.74, but is originally $24.99. This of course is for the early access version. I'm going to assume it will go up to $30 once it meets its final release window. I don't know much about Nacon, but I do remember hearing about a dispute for a Sherlock Holmes game and the companies behind it. What happened there? As for the game, I'm considering it because it's kinda cheap right now. But I'm just too cheap to buy games at the moment. So I might still wait until it's lower priced.

I've been getting really invested in RDR2 as of late. Been trying to grow out an awesome mustache and my hair out. I'm also trying to earn money by robbing shops and stealing coaches. Makes you a decent amount of money, and if you're lucky, you can get away if you're fast enough. And sometimes getting away with a small bounty. I haven't even opened up half the map and I'm leveled up decently. Already stage 5 of 10 for robbery. I want to take this game as slow as I can this time around. Just have fun with it.

I'm sure they could update the textures, controls, etc. But I believe this is being said to be a remake. So it might be something from the ground up with just the core ideas in. That's a guess, but I could be wrong.

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans are planning a funeral for Red Dead Online
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
Yeah it's weird to see them gone. But maybe a new generation of devs will give new life to the series. We all know the franchise hasn't really changed all too much. It's the same game most of the time with changes here and there. I think someone else taking charge could be good. Anyway, back to rdr2. I'm tempted to go to this funeral just to see how many people it brings online. But idk if I want to bother with loading up online lol. -
I think VR is going to be around a very long time. AR I don't see happening for a while, as I can't see anyone being able to afford something like it. So they'd have to find a way to make it affordable. But, I guess VR isn't that affordable either, but when I hear AR, I feel like that's going to take a lot more to work, and in turn, will probably cost a lot.

I'm going to guess it'll come out on PC a year after release. Wasn't that what they did for God of War? I hope it comes out sooner. But maybe it's good, I still need to play the last one and this would give me the appropriate time to get through it. I just don't want to wait too long to play the new one.

What game would be the worst to live in if you're not a main character?
Kane99 replied to DC's topic in Gaming Forum
I can't comment on sifu or Bloodborne, but Hitman Blood Money does penalize you for killing more than just the targets. After each mission, you get to view a newspaper report about the assassinations. If you kill more than the targets, the report will call you out as a crazed gunman. If anyone witnesses you kill someone, that report gets added to the news. As well, missing tons of shots, will result in the paper making fun of your skills, calling you a crazed gunman with limit skill, not in those words though. You could kill everyone in a level, but it would out you and cause issues for you in the next missions if I'm not mistaken. It wants you to go the silent assassin route. -
All I really want in an AC game, is to play in a modern setting as an assassin. But, one who doesn't utilize guns but his ancestors weapons. I mean, imagine climbing the buildings, having to deal with gunmen, and others with more advanced weapons. I think it'd be cool. Because we know the Animus storyline has to go somewhere I feel. Cause wasn't the whole thing about the Animus that it was run by corrupt people, in turn the templars? I remember AC 2 or brotherhood you played a Desmond during some points and you had the abilities his ancestors had. So I wanted more of that, where you were an assassin in modern times.

Why are release windows/dates announced so late for some games?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Or studios can stop picking a release date that's far too early. Maybe wait until some development has been done before even announcing it. Or pick a far out enough date where you think your team can build a game in. And if they need delays allow it. -
Honestly I don't know yet. Has it even come out yet or started? I feel like they haven't done anything with it yet. I see no promo for it. I'm willing to see what it's like. I have a feeling it's just going to be like playstation home. Where you can create your own digital home. See ads, and status updates in a virtual lobby with your virtual avatars of friends and family.

VR may help some people with mobility challenges
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Virtual Reality
I imagine vr can help people travel to places they can't, to talk to people in a real looking environment. I imagine they may even be able to utilize vr for physical therapy. I think it can also help people escape from reality for a while. -
I always thought katamaro damacy was a weird and random one. I saw videos of this game and ways wanted to play, but never have. I remember it being hugely popular when it came out. And it's still weird to me this day. And honestly, it feels like a game that would come out these days.

Games you found more fun after you knew you could beat them?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
When I was a kid it was probably super Mario bros 3. I got near the end as a kid and remember feeling proud of myself because of it. I remember being mad that I kept failing, but getting near the end was still something awesome to me. -
I couldn't stand him when he started. All I remember him being was loud and annoying. I believe he hammed it up for his audience a lot too, and I just could never get into his humor. Also his horror game videos where he screams all the time, also put me off on his content. I hear he's chilled out a lot these days though, so good for him. Still not interested in watching his content though.

Silly completionist things you did as a gaming newbie
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Maybe trying to go for all the pigeons in GTA IV or whatever it was I had to collect in San Andreas, vice city it GTA III. But now days I can't be bothered to collect everything in a game. I'm just too damn lazy to do that these days lol. -
I'm going to have to go for GTA IV and RDR1, simply because they had my favorite dlc. GTA IV had the Ballad of Gay Tony and the Lost And Damned DLCs. Both were great. Then of course rdr1 had the undead nightmare. Which is one of my all time favorite DLCs ever.

Do you try to avoid a high civilian death toll?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Depends on the game. Something like rdr2 or GTA, I could go in a kill not problem. But I don't do it that often in most other games. Just never care to. Idk, it's weird, because I can do it in the games I previously mentioned, but some games I won't. Maybe it's their systems where if you do anything t bad, it just restarts you. -
What's a game you should like but just find too mundane/bad
Kane99 replied to DC's topic in Gaming Forum
Yeah I get really frustrated with those souls games. They're way too hard for me. I would love to get into them and progress, but I have no patience for it to be honest. -
I've played some, but I don't play them often. I played a little bit of the first monkey island game. But got stuck at one point and gave up. Usually it get stuck at a certain part of a point and click game and just give up. I did play one recently, called The Procession to Calvary. It was a weird point and click game, but was pretty funny at times.

I feel like I answered this before, but it may have been a completely different topic. Even though I didn't play it, Deadly Premonition comes to mind. It's a game with a weird and wacky story, but horrible gameplay. I saw a let's play of the whole game, and I heard the people playing complain about the stiff and awkward controls. But the story and characters made up for those problems.
