  1. I just remember when the PS3 at $600. That was crazy to me, especially with the 360 at a lower price. I knew what console I was going to go for based on price. Thankfully I didn't go for the Wii, because I would have hated myself for that. So my brother and I got a 360 and that was the end of it. It's crazy to look back at how prices have inflated so much over the years.
  2. That's a tough one, because I was born into playing the NES growing up. But then I got a Sega Genesis, a PS1, PS2 and then a 360. But if I had to choose, it would be the NES, because I have a lot more nostalgia for it. But the PS1 comes in second because of more nostalgia there, then the PS2, 360 and so on. But yeah, it's weird to see how far my console tastes have gone. From Nintendo to Sony to Microsoft, and now to PC. One of these days I'll get the new consoles lol.
  3. I'm not too big into the Harry Potter universe of things. I know they're making an MMO Harry Potter game, or they already did and it's coming out soon, so maybe that could be something my nephew and I try out. I don't know if I'd stick with it too long, I can't imagine myself playing it too long. Thank you for the suggestion though. 🙂 One of these days I'll get a switch so I can game on that with my nephew as well.
  4. To each their own I say. I know some won't like this type of game. I honestly put it off for years because I thought it was stupid. But now days I'm all for checking out these weird and random games. We don't get games like this anymore. Or I feel we don't. Though I'm sure there are a ton of weird and odd indie games out there that are similar. 😄 If all you play is Mario and Harry Potter, I suggest branching out a bit, and experience other games. There's so much out there worth checking out. 🙂
  5. Best 8-bit game imo is probably Super Mario Bros. 3. The game looks beautiful even today, and plays perfectly. It's my personal favorite game ever. And the best 16-bit game would probably be Super Mario World for the SNES. Donkey Kong Country gets a honorable mention as well. But there are so many other games out there that I love from both generations.
  6. It's Nintendo. Their handhelds sell because they're fairly priced, have huge libraries of games from first to third party titles, and idk, they're mostly simple handhelds that work as intended. Plus I imagine their handhelds were easy to develop games for, and that brought in a lot of third party devs. Once the DS came out, with that second screen, it pushed Nintendo even further I think. Isn't the DS or DS Lite one of their top selling consoles period? I think it's kinda even with how their consoles sell vs how their handhelds sell. Well aside from the Wii U, and maybe the gamecube and even the N64. If I remember correctly those didn't sell as we expected. The Wii of course succeeded because of its gimmick. If that console was just a console, it wouldn't have sold as well, because the console itself wasn't close to what the 360 and PS3 had hardware wise. But yeah, I honestly don't know. The Switch is selling like crazy, and since it's a hybrid console, it is perfect for them. And it's fairly priced imo and the games look great on it. Now if only they can produce another Switch with better hardware, that'd be interesting to see. Maybe the dock can increase the processing power of the console to play more advanced games. But in handheld mode maybe it takes the graphics down a notch.
  7. Nah, not a single game that you got stressed out playing? What about horror games? Do they stress you out when playing? For me it's just jump scares that bugs me, because it's a lazy tactic in games. I've had my share of levels/boss battles/puzzles that I got stuck on and caused me some stress. I got stressed out playing RDR2 last night, because I messed up and pointed my gun at an officer that was looking for me. Realizing after this, I had to reload an old save as I had just robbed a place. So I lost a good chunk of change. But I re-did it and got the money back and that was the end of it. 😄
  8. Yeah with the constant grind it takes to get anywhere in the online mode, really isn't worth it. If it wasn't such a grind and had more to do, I'd be really into the online mode, but they're doing nothing with it right now. As well, riding horses to each destination becomes a chore. With GTA V it's fast, but RDR2 is a slower process and it just doesn't work the same.
  9. Never heard of that one, but it looks weird enough to where I'd want to try it out. Oh yeah, that's one I remember heard about. Saw some gameplay for it, but never played it myself.
  10. I don't think another console can succeed on this market either. We've gotten so many more random consoles on the market, from the VCS and I think there's a couple others trying to make things happen, but for the most part, none of these consoles have competed at all with the big three. I don't think they can compete. This little console is going to be a failure, much like NFTs are becoming.
  11. Yeah I don't remember a time where people liked EA, or respected them. Maybe the start of the company, but that was so long ago, at this point it doesn't even matter, especially with their long history of dumb mistakes. Activision Blizzard at #1 made total sense these days. But EA shouldn't even be on the list. They should be #1 on the most hated gaming company.
  12. I like weird and random games, so I may have to finally give the game a shot. I remember hearing good things about it when it originally came out, but I put it off because I thought it would be weird if I played it. Now, I just don't care. I'm always willing to try games I've never experienced before. This one looks like a fun and wild ride at least.
  13. Yeah I remember Playboy the Mansion, but never played it. I imagine it's just meant to be an adult game and has no substance like the Sims does. I might play it now for shits and giggles. Afterlife sounds familiar as well. Maybe I'm confusing it with second life or something similar. That actually looks pretty dope, like a more realistic version of the Sims. I'll have to look more into that one.
  14. I sadly never played much of the Burnout series, but I heard they were top of the line back when they came out. Surprised they haven't done much with the series in years, but that's EA for ya. At least Skate is making a comeback, so maybe Burnout will follow. Name rings a bell, but I can't recall ever playing it. After looking it up though, I think a friend of mine had a copy of the game on the PS, and I remember playing it with a friend for a short period of time before I had to go home. That was my only experience with it.

Yeah July 19th it drops. Still a little bit to go, but we're nearly there. I'm going to wait until it releases and see some reviews first before I pick it up though. A friend of mine has been talking about it recently. I guess he had it pre-ordered for months now, and has been anticipating it for some time. I worry that it's going to end up being short, and I hope that's not the case. I hope this game turns out to be quite long, or at least long enough to keep me entertained. 😄
  16. You should check out Until Dawn if you haven't already. I believe the same team behind this made that. As well, the Man of Medan series is kinda similar in that they use real actors. I haven't played Until Dawn or Man of Medan, but I've been meaning to play those, and now I have The Quarry as another option to check out. I really hope they continue to make games like this, because they do look quite good.
  17. This is mainly for the online mode. They add new content often for GTA V online, which is a 9 year old game at this point. While RDR2 came out in 2018 I believe and should still be receiving new updates, new content, missions etc. They release some content, but it's minimal compared to what is offered GTA V. And I know GTA V has a bigger user base. But I still feel like RDR2 online could work better if they actually supported the game more.
  18. Well it'd be worse if they announced it now and released it in 2023. A year is not far off, and neither is two years. They either had to have worked on this console for a while already. But, I don't think it's a legit console. I think it's someone who bought a raspberry pi kit, or something like it, and just custom built a case and made an OS or something for it. That's what it looks like to me. I could be wrong, and it could be a good console at release, but I'm going to bet that won't happen.
  19. It's not the same Atari we know. The name has been sold off a couple times already, so it's just Atari in name and not history anymore. Even though the people who own the name now are in the gaming industry, they aren't nearly the same as they were when they started. Hell, I don't even think one person from the original Atari has any involvement with Atari. The original Atari no, but the current Atari maybe. But their console, the VCS, so far looks to have been a failure. I don't know what they have planned next, but they will probably have to figure something else out that could work.

Who's ready for this game? It's dropping July 19th and I'm kinda psyched to check it out. From what I've seen of the game so far, it looks kinda like a mix of horror and action. I was thinking of pre-ordering it, but I think I'll wait until it drops to see the reviews first, just in case. Especially if this is a full price game.
  21. The Quarry recently came out a few weeks ago I think, and I haven't heard a lot about it since. I saw some people playing it on twitch, but I feel like it's kinda been forgotten. Has anyone here played it yet? Is it worth checking out? I heard it's like a spiritual successor to Until Dawn, and from what I did see, I get that vibe from it. It has an all star cast as well, so I'm kinda tempted to watch a lets play at least.
  22. What are some classic racing games you'd like to see a reboot of or a comeback? I mainly want to see more cruisin usa, san francisco rush, and test drive make a comeback. I heard that there is a new Test Drive in the works, so that's a solid plus in my book. I'm not too keen on the likes of Need for Speed or really fast paced racers, so it'll be nice to see a new Test Drive one of these days. But what are some other racing games you'd like to see make a comeback?
  23. https://www.frontlinejp.net/2022/07/05/lollipop-chainsaw-remake-announced/ I never played the original game, but I heard it has a huge cult following and has a lot of fans. And from what I hear it's a pretty decent game. Now, there is word that a remake is coming. This is why I like remakes, only when they focus on a game that came out 10 years ago. Not these remakes that are dropping 2-4 years after release. Anyway, is this a buy for you? I may eventually check it out.
  24. Source - https://www.pcgamesn.com/red-dead-redemption-2/funeral-updates-online All because it's been almost a year since any new updates have dropped for RDR2 online. We've received small things here and there, but for the most part, we haven't seen any big updates like what GTA Online gets often these days. Fans are fed up that Rockstar has pretty much dropped the ball on RDR2 online. I feel the same way though, because RDR2 online hasn't had much support aside from patches and such. All RS cares about is GTA Online these days. What do you guys think? Does RS care for RDR2 online?
  25. Makes me wonder, does a esports team have a coach or leader? One who doesn't actually game, but is just in control of the team. I doubt they have coaches, because I don't think esports would work with a coach. But I could be wrong. Anyway, the better your team of players are, the best chance you got to succeed in the esports arena.
