  1. I don't think fast travel is an option in the mp mode. I'm aware of it in single player, but online I'm pretty sure they don't allow you to fast travel. Maybe if you're playing on passive mode or something. I know that's possible in GTA V, so I imagine they have that. Otherwise you'd probably get a warning that fast travel isn't available because of an enemy being nearby.
  2. Yup, I had to send in my original Xbox 360 arcade console for repair up to 5 separate times, all due to the RRoD issue that plagued early consoles that generation. Everytime I had to send it off to get repaired (for free though thank goodness), but having to wait a month or more to get your console back was a pain in the ass. I decided to finally buy a Xbox 360 slim instead and that lasted me many years, until the DVD drive decided to stop working for me. 😞 Sucks when that sort of thing happens, but if you're lucky, you'll have a warranty with it.
  3. With the news that Skate is making a comeback, it looks like the team behind Session have released a new trailer announcing the final release date. This game has been out since 2019 in an early access state, but the final release is coming this September 22nd. I was thinking of getting the game now on early access, but I might wait until its official release. Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think.
  4. Remember that tech demo you could download that came out during the recent Matrix movie? It was done in Unreal Engine 5 and I guess there's rumors that this little demo, could in turn become a full fledged game. Honestly I'd be for that, even though I'm not really into the Matrix. What they showed during that demo was pretty awesome. But, could they replicate that into a full on game? I honestly don't know. The game is actually being delisted tomorrow, and that's why people are thinking it could point to a possible game coming down the line. What do you think? 5. I think the reason I stopped playing Cyberpunk 2077 was because of burnout. I liked the game, but I just got bored with it after awhile, and playing it felt like a chore. I still need to beat it, but have been putting it off for the past year or two haha. I would like to revisit it one day, but I don't know if I ever will. I'm just too lazy to jump back in. Plus I probably forgot some of the controls and now I may have to outright restart.
  6. Oh yeah, I've heard of museums and other locations offering VR options for those who are unable to travel or can't due to not having the money. Hell I think they've even done live concerts, and other such events for VR. I found this article doing a quick search: https://www.lifewire.com/virtual-reality-tourism-4129394 It lists virtual places you can visit. These seem to be fake virtual worlds, with an exception for the Realities one they list, as that looks to be about showing real places in VR. And I found this site that looks kinda promising for VR travel - https://www.travelworldvr.com/
  7. Not necessarily. I hear that there are many games you can play in VR that don't require you to be standing or moving around. I get with VR it helps with immersion to be able to move around in that world, but I imagine there are many games that allow you to move with just the controllers. I've seen people stand in place playing VR games, so I imagine some games could still work while being in a wheelchair. Only issue I'd see is the wires posing a problem, but there are new headsets coming out often that are wireless.
  8. The OG Xbox, yeah I feel ya there. I rememeber playing it for the first time, and hated the controller and all its buttons. The black and white buttons confused me lol. I got fairly small hands myself but the Xbox 360, One and series X controllers fit perfectly in my hand. But the original Xbox controllers were a bit too hefty for me. But 360 and onwards is when they kinda perfected their controllers.
  9. Yeah, figured this would look almost like AC Pirates. Makes sense with them wanting to make a pirates game after AC: Black Flag. Which I loved, and honestly thought it was better than AC 3. Anyway, that's not the point. I don't know how to feel about this game. I feel I got played out on the naval battle stuff during Black Flag and the game that followed. I just can't see myself playing this honestly. But, maybe I'll check it out once it goes on sale after it releases.
  10. All those shovelware games is what pushed me to go for a 360 instead. The only game I remember seeing that looked cool, was that Red Steel game. I thought it was so cool that they were able to make a game that allowed you to use the wiimote as a sword and even a gun. I just thought that was so cool at the time. But thankfully I didn't jump for it, because I would have been stuck with a console I would have hated haha. And plus, all of my friends were enjoying xbox 360 games online, and none of my friends had a wii or cared to get one.
  11. I'll give you that. 3D can be fun, and can work, but I feel like it doesn't matter so much. Like I said after playing the 3DS, the 3D options didn't really keep me interested. I was more interested in the games without any gimmicks like 3D. I often turned the 3D options off after a while because it would start to bug my eyes anyway. Much like you said you didn't play in 3D for long and would instead turn that feature off. Which is why when the 2DS came out, I was like, that's kinda cool. But, I still would have preferred a 2DS that folded like the 3DS. Didn't understand why they did that with the 2DS.
  12. I feel by the time I do get a PS5 or series x, the generation will already be near done. So I figure I'm just going to stick with my gaming PC that I got now, and forget the consoles altogether. Well, maybe not the Switch, because I would still like to get one soon. But maybe I'll just wait until the next iteration of the Switch comes out. I hope they make one with better hardware.
  13. Yeah the games crash in 83 was a big one. As for any other years, that's a tough one. Honestly, maybe currently with how tough it can be to get one of the new gen consoles. But it's not the worst by any means. 83 seems like the most logical one to mention. I can't think of any years where gaming was stagnant or had trouble. Maybe around the time the 360 RRoD occured maybe, that was pretty rough time for gamers.
  14. Yes, Mister Mosquito was one game I was thinking of. I remember seeing ads for it and wanted to pick it up, but never did. I remember watching a playthrough of it, and thought it was hilarious. I've been wanting to actually check it out for myself though, as I'd like to experience it. The good life sounds familiar, but I think I'm thinking of a different game where you play as a dalmation. I forget what it was called, but the brief time I played it, I really enjoyed it. I can't say I've heard of Bee Simulator though.
  15. Who still plays 2K20 with 2K22 out now? 2K20 was a glitched mess and would always close out on me. I purchased it for like $3 used on steam, and I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it. As for favorite finishing move, it's the move where you go to the top, and just flapjack on your opponent. I use it with my created wrestler who is a bit on the chunky size. Always thought it was a funny move to do. I don't remember what it was called though.
  16. I second 2K games, they've kinda fallen off in recent years, especially their shady practices with their MyTeam modes or whatever they are. Or the microtransactions and all that nonsense. They're pretty much like EA 2.0 in that regard. Hell even WWE 2K22 has MyFaction and I think that has microtransactions and other nonsense. I haven't touched the mode yet though. And yeah, I will forever hate EA for getting the NFL license for like 20 damn years. I miss me some of that NFL 2K, but of course, 2K would probably ruin it somehow. Yeah, to my knowledge EA had a good start. But I think after a while they started to get too greedy. I don't know what changed, maybe it was the ownership, or the people in charge, but they really destroyed their image. I don't think they can ever rebound.
  17. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the Harry Potter franchise, and I can't see myself really playing any HP games. I'm just not into the franchise like so many others are. The premise of this game sounds cool and all, give it to me in a different universe, not having to do with Harry Potter lol. I haven't heard all the details on what she's been up to, just that she's said some dumb things about trans people. Though I'm sure it's pretty bad. She has no say in future Harry Potter movies or games, as the company that owns the rights now, don't want anything to do with her. She may have created these worlds, but she is no longer in control of them.
  18. There's just so many good 8/16 bit games out there, that it's honestly hard to just pick one. So many classics. I said SMB3 for 8bit myself, but there's so many other games I'd want to include, like Batman, The Legend of Zelda, SMB1 and 2, and so many more. We'd be here all day if we had to pick a bunch of our favorites lol. But yeah, Blaster Master is pretty decent. I never beat it, but have been meaning to check it out again.
  19. idk, I feel you could easily beat the game without having to do that. I know I did because I know I didn't open nearly most of the satchels. This currently playthrough I'm on, I'm taking it much slower and am building Arthur's stats up. My next step is going to be fishing/hunting to make more money. From what I've played in the beginning, it's fairly easy imo. I've made money with ease, even without doing most of the missions so far. But, I did play it once before, so I know what I'm doing. So I can see a newbie having a little trouble.
  20. Blur was another I remember hearing about, but I never bothered to check it out. From what I remember, I think it reminded me of Burnout some, and maybe that's why I didn't check it out originally. It sounds like a ton of fun too, so I should probably check it out finally. How many games did they make in the series? Or was it just Blur and that was it?
  21. Honestly not sure. I'm not one to usually catch plot holes unless they're plain and easily visible. Most games if I don't know what's going on, I just don't pay attention to the story that much and instead just try to have fun with the gameplay. I wish I could think of something that had plot holes in it, but I'm drawing a blank.
  22. Honestly, I'd say FPS games, or maybe anything strategy heavy like real time strategy or something similar. FPS games are tough at first, but you should be able to get used to them fairly quickly. But those RTS games, or the ones where you have to build a world and actually think, yeah those can be tough to learn as a newbie. Hell I'd say I'm still a newbie in that genre and I am awful at them. I like simple, and simple isn't usually tough for a newbie.

$30 on Steam, probably the same for consoles as well. Not a bad price point, since I thought it would have been a full price $60-$70 game. Thank goodness it's not, because I don't see it being worth that much. $30 is not bad and works imo. I kinda hope they add modding abilities to this game. I bet people could do some crazy stuff in it.
  24. Maybe disorienting in terms of having to remember the layout of an area to get through, but I don't think I ever felt disoriented otherwise. I kinda like when an area in game changes a lot, makes the are fresh, new and different. I like games that involve destruction as well, and if you can cause havoc to an area and it changes, it can sometimes be fun. I like how it's done in post-apocalyptic games, where you can change the world with a nuke or something. I think you could do that in the fallout series to some extent.
  25. To be fair, most games you probably don't want to be the NPC, or a side character. Main reason why, is because you could be the victim, could be the villain and could be just there to do nothing. But any games where you can kill an NPC, I don't think I'd want to be in that world. Yeah sure it'd be fun to some extent, but I imagine you'd tire of being killed in game all the time. Or, you get tired of doing the same things in game. NPCs don't usually do much, so I imagine it'd be fairly boring as well.
