  1. One thing that sometimes keeps me into a game, is the game+ modes that some games have. I don't much care for playing a higher difficulty, but I will gladly play more of the game if it's fun and doesn't change the difficulty on me. I also like when games would let you keep your inventory from the end and bring it to the start. I miss that games don't do that anymore. 😞
  2. I used to really like watching lets plays of horror games. I am not one for playing horror games. I do sometimes get scared from them, but it's more of the cheap jumpscares I don't like to deal with. So, I watched streamers and lets players play popular horror games, because I never will. I saw playthroughs of the recent RE games. There are some horror games I can do, but most of them I don't care to play.
  3. Oh of course not. They're going to forever focus on putting it behind a paywall. Which sucks, because all of these cosmetic items tend to cost a ton in games. Fortnite for example is pretty pricey witrh their characters. Even the weapon skins and pick axes are overpriced in my opinion. Or like back blings and gliders. Just crazy that they charge so much for stuff like that. I just miss the day where a game wouldn't force things behind a paywall.
  4. I had no idea this even happened. Crazy move imo. Crystal dynamics was a fairly good studio. To sell them and others off is weird to me. What does this mean for tomb raider? I don't think NFTs are sticking around for much longer. What happens to them if the market falls drastically?
  5. I like that sony is attempting to produce movies based on their hit games. I think they want to replicate the success Microsoft had with Halo. Well, was that halo show a success? I have no clue. But it's a good move either way. It gives fans something to hold them over for the next games, and also may expand these worlds rich histories.
  6. Oh for sure they are. They fell into the fake hypetrain and thought this and abandoned were really happening. It's crazy to think people believed their lies. I knew when I heard of the other news about them faking games that it was fake.
  7. Also, in recent years, I found that I don't always like when people watch me game. I get uncomfortable sometimes streaming a game, because I sometimes think people will laugh at how slow I play some games. And how bad I suck at some lol. But with close friends it's not a problem. I think it's just with my online friends where I feel this way.
  8. Kinda to be expected with more studios stopping production of PS4 games. Same thing is happening for the Xbox one. They stopped producing the xbone as well if I'm not mistaken. As long as they continue to support it with security and updates, it should be fine.
  9. Whenever I get together to drink with the buds, they hate when I play video games. Even though they're gamers as well, they always hated gaming when we drank. I would sometimes play and we'd just talk, and I saw no problem if I gamed while they talked. But I guess they weren't fans of that. We did game sometimes, but I guess they wanted to talk more about random things than games. But, oh well.
  10. Honestly never heard of it, but after looking it up, it looks pretty decent. I'm not one for fighting games so much, but I'm always willing to try them once in a while. This one kinda reminds me of those SNK fighting games, I think that's what it was called. Or the Marvel vs SNK I think.
  11. Minecraft is a good option, but I've been kinda played out on it over the past few years. Well I'm thinking more towards PC. I don't think Animal Crossing has a PC port. But I will keep Stardew Valley in mind. I don't think it has multiplayer options though. But the guy who made the game I guess is making a similar game with multiplayer. Thanks for the suggestion. I have played rocket league with my nephew before, so I'll add it to the list of games we can now play together on PC.
  12. How many players do you think are allowed on a single esports team? Do some teams have alternates where if a player is sick, can't compete or whatever, they at least have someone to take over? I know my last topic talked about trading of players and such, but how many players do esports teams usually have? And do they have multiple different teams under one esport team? I figure there's a male and female team for each esport org out there.
  13. From what I've heard of the recent Far Cry games, is that they haven't done much of anything new to keep the franchise fresh. I remember hearing how crazy the villain was in Far Cry 3 I think it was, but ever since that game, the villains in each game has been getting worse. That is just what I have heard, as I haven't really played much of the Far Cry games. Is it true that the villains get more boring as the series go on? I want to try the series out, but I felt like Blood Dragon was the only thing I ever wanted. 😄
  14. Yeah that's the thing, I am not sure either. There is a lot of different kinds of esports organizations, so maybe they each run their own differently. Some with trading as a possibility and somewhere it's just a team that are all in control and no one has a captain or leader. Don't they usually make money from tournament winnings? And of course sponsorship is probably a big one too.
  15. Yeah, and it sucks. So many gaming companies are embracing the microtransactions, that we're now seeing what would have been under unlocks in item shops. Back in the day we could play a fighting game and could open new outfits, now days it's like every game has a marketplace to buy overpriced clothing.
  16. They have every right to do so, even if it sucks. I hate seeing fan made games taken down, but we really can't stop them. I just wish they would consider bringing in these devs, because I always think when these fan made games come out, it's like they're asking for a job at Nintendo. I would be too if I was Nintendo. I think they mainly don't want their characters misrepresented and that's why they don't want to risk any fan made stuff. That's my guess on their reasoning at least.
  17. Yeah I didn't think about being creative like writing. But I could totally see people taking up the arts, literature and more with video games not being a thing. That makes sense. It would probably make books more popular these days.
  18. I haven't as much recently, but I used to watch a lot of lets plays on YouTube, from Game Grumps, Super Best Friends play (they stopped making videos like 5 years ago) and a funhaus just to name a few. I don't watch as much anymore because I also like to watch other content on YouTube, but if there's a game I really want to play but can't, I will sometimes watch a lets play of it. I did so for the Last of Us Part 2.
  19. I can't believe I forgot about Conker. He is by far one of the funniest characters in one of the funniest games ever made. Sucks that it still hasn't gotten a fairly reboot, sequal or even a newer remaster. Rare could really do something good by reviving this series. Hell I'd take a remaster if it at least guaranteed I can re-play this.
  20. Yeah I heard they are even fairly cheap in box. I don't know about brand new, but I heard some go for pretty cheap to this day. So I guess it's pretty much the opportune time to start collecting Atari games/consoles. Better jump on it before people start to cause inflation.
  21. Also, I seemed to notice that extended use of 3D TVs and tech like it caused people to get headaches and other problems. Much like how playing in VR for too long for some is not a good idea. But with 3D, I think it's worse than VR, because the 3D kinda messes with your eyes. Some people can get used to VR, but 3D I feel like it bothers everyone after a certain amount of time playing it. But, maybe I'm wrong.
  22. The chance of 3D TVs and games utilizing it in the future is likely to happen again. I think most games these days support 3D TVs anyway, so maybe future we'll see 3D TVs making another comeback. But again, I just don't see it sticking around for too long. I think VR is what people are flocking to these days.
  23. I'll give it that it was kinda cool to some extent. But I mostly forgot I was playing a 3D game whenever I did play on a 3DS. Initially I though it was cool, but the effect kinda wore off for me, to the point that I kinda just didn't care for it. But more power to you if you really love the 3D aspect of the 3DS. It just wasn't for me.
  24. I'd like to eventually start collecting Atari consoles and games. I have a few atari games, but it's like 5 of them, and some I think are PC cartridge's or something that don't even work on an Atari console. I heard that a lot of the atari games go for pretty cheap these days, and it would be a good collection to start building up.
  25. Yes about damn time. I know it was kinda in the works, but to see actual proof of it being worked on, is exciting to me. Albeit, it's not much considering it's like pre-pre-pre alpha, and clearly has a ton of work. But it looks like you can actually sign up to play test it so that you can actually help mold the game into what Skate should be. I'm thinking of signing up, just so I can get in there as soon as I can.
