I'm going to assume it's multiplatform, with Sony probably getting some kind of 30 day exclusivity with DLC and other goodies. But, I could see them going the route of exclusive to Sony, but you can get it on PC as well.

What series have come out with consistently better games over time?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Lazy and greedy is more like it. Lazy in the sense that their gameplay design is dated and due for an update/upgrade. And greedy for focussing on just online and making their game an annoying grind. At least it was for me. Still mad they never did single player DLC. 😞 -
This reminds me, I should probably get game pass ultimate again. Honestly tempted to play Lawm Mowing Sim just because it looks relaxing to me. Don't judge! 😄 And hell yeah, playing Guardians of the Galaxy on March 10th.

Honestly, I just hope they don't release a broken mess of a game like they are usually known for. Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout 76 all came out messy. Even Skyrim which is a classic, was a broken mess on release, with bugs and glitches galore. I think Bethesda needs to release a game that is free from most bugs and glitches. They can't afford to have another Fallout 76 blunder happen, because that whole release was an utter mess from start to finish. They need to produce quality content and make sure not to release something that's bugged to the brim.

I heard a lot about this game, but never got the chance to play it. Is it as good as people say it is? I'm always reminded of the game Prototype when I hear of inFAMOUS. Surprised they haven't done any sequels since 2014. So it's probably time for a new game to come out.

I disagree on the politics side of it. We already saw people complain about the first game, but once people saw what the game actually was, that started to die down. I'd assume it would be a similar situation for a Bully 2, but I don't see them making that much of a fuss about it. Sure some will see "Bully" and think bad, but the point of the game isn't to Bully, but it's to defend against the bullies. That's what you get from the game at least. But, I'm doubting they will ever work on it again. I think a Bully 2 could work. It's got the cult following now, that I could see a sequel selling quite well.

Should the Current gen consoles have been delayed?
Kane99 replied to Yaramaki's topic in Gaming Forum
Nah, I don't think they needed to do any delays. The reason there is a big problem with scalpers, is because it's easier to do it than in the past. They have bots to help them get in line faster. They find ways to get as many consoles as they can. I think this is our unfortunate future with any new consoles. We thought it was bad years ago, but this is just going to get worse. We need laws in place to stop scalping, because it's annoying to not be able to get a console, and to see people charging sometimes double or triple the cost. It's just scummy. -
Yeah it does feel like February was a bit packed this time around. But I think Elden Ring is what is going to be remembered this February.

Toxic communities are going to be everywhere. It's why I just mute the bad parties and call it a day. Sometimes that's the best route you can take. COD for example is still probably a mess, so I stay muted and in a party chat anyway. Better to stay away from the annoying.
-
Are you aware of any good ones I can add? I want to let the community that I work with, know about some gaming bots. Anything that results in the community gaming together, would be ideal.

Not really. But I did win games from Konami one year. I won a copy of Metal Gear Rising and PES 2010 I think it was. It was a long time ago lol. But yeah, I thought it was so cool that I won something. I didn't play MGR for very long though. And PES I had no interest in, so traded it years ago on a game trading site.

I see no issue with it, as long as you're not cheating online, I honestly don't care. Cheat in the single player or not, it's your choice to do so. And, if it's something allowed in game, then I see no issue with it. Hell, even if it's not part of the main game, I don't care. It doesn't affect anyone else, so I see no issue with it.

I'm only aware of games like Arma III, and I think there was one called America's Army that was more about training soldiers and such. I don't recall any other military sim style games that are realistic.

Do you lose track of your surroundings when you game?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I don't lose track of my surroundings, but I'll say I do lose track of time sometimes. There are days where I'd start gaming in the morning hours, and then be gaming until like 6pm. That's what I'd say, losing track of time over losing track of my surroundings. -
Can you still remember the first console game you played?
Kane99 replied to Head_Hunter's topic in Gaming Forum
Honestly, you could say that about every generation. I got a PS1 when I was a kid, does that mean I had a golden spoon in my mouth as a kid? Nah, just because that PS5 is someone's first console, doesn't mean they're some rich family. Please remember that the PS5 has been out for over a year now, people want this console and they are doing their best to get one. -
That's fair. A lot of us just want sometime simple to get into. Many times I have played tough games, and wanted to complete, but put it off due to its difficulty. I just want something that's a bit more simplified and doesn't force me to game for hours just to get through one area.

Skyrim is a classic and still holds up after 10+ years. You also have the likes of GTA V, RDR2, Just Cause 3,4, and more. To be honest though, I'm starting to tire of the many open world games coming out. Just becomes repetitive to me.

What types of vehicles do you want to see more of in games?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I'd like to see more animal themed vehicles. Maybe monster trucks in more open world games. I think it adds a lot of fun to have massive vehicles. Also, if they caused destruction, even better. 😄 -
I like what Anda Seat has to offer. I got the Spider-Man themed one recently and it's very comfy. I'm a big guy, weight wise too, so it has held up quite well these past couple months. If I ever need to get a new gaming chair, I'm for sure getting another from them. Their prices are really good too, so I know they're a more affordable option for bigger people.

Ah okay. Yeah I heard the newer games kinda took a lot away. Didn't the first few games have tons of weapons that you could alter and change? Or was that one of the later titles?
-
True, but liking a video game is subjective. One person can hate it, while others can dislike it. Nothing wrong with that. I view RDR1 to be a vastly better game myself, but I get why people praise RDR2 over it. To each their own. Well Skyrim doesn't really have fleshed out characters that you follow throughout the story at least not from what I recall. Yeah you have characters, but I'd argue there's more character within RDR2 than in Skyrim. There's a lot to find in the world of RDR2, from hidden secrets, random characters scattered across the world and so on. Not only that, you encounter ambushes, treasures, caves, weird characters, etc. The world can be a bit too open, but as you venture out, you start to find things. Ambushes, weird characters scattered across the world and more. How long did you stick with RDR2 before you stopped playing?

Now, if pay to earn resulted in you actually earning something in return, I'd maybe consider playing them. But when it's more about the studios making cash, I steer clear of those completely. But if there is a chance I could make something from it, then it may be okay.

The most influential game of all time, that's a really tough one, considering it's influential. We could be here all day listing our favorite games, but this isn't about our favorites. It's about one that made history, is talked about often, and so on. I honestly can't think of anything. Maybe one of the N64 Legend of Zelda games, because they seem to get the most praise, even more so than the original classics. We have to think of influential, something that inspired other creators, made gamers happy, and caused more sequels to come out. That feels like Zelda to me, but I may be wrong on that.
