Yeah, he's an awful person. Was awful to women as well and has been accused of a lot of other bad behaviour towards women. The fact that any woman wanted to even touch the dude is beyond me. I've actually been trying to find his energy drinks again, because I just want to collect the a couple cans. I had saved the ones I bought years ago, but they got damaged and I tossed them. I actually found the site that sold them, and it was still up offering to sell. But I wasn't taking a chance to buy from the site, so I emailed about buying a couple, but never received a response lol.

Exactly. No matter what generation of gaming you get in at, there will always be toxic people. They are everywhere and will continue to find ways to torment people. But that's why we have methods to block those people, to not hear a peep out of them. I don't bother with public lobbies, if I do, I go on a mute parade and mute everyone. Or I stick to a private party so I can't hear the public chat at all. It's really easy to steer clear of the douche bags online. There's lots of them out there, but there are more than enough methods at combating them. I just find it lazy and sad that they want to ban everyone because of words. I get banning for hacking and cheating. And I would be fine if people who are known for sending harmful things, or do harmful things, to be banned too. But I think for just being a douche on the internet, there are ways to block that easily already.

I get a sigh of relief when games get delayed. I know most hate it, and I understand that it sucks to see games you want get delayed. But when I see it happen, I feel it's just their choice to go in and fix problems they found, or making the game as optimized as possible. Now, if it's delayed multiple times, and so on, then maybe a release date further out is better. Exactly. Cyberpunk 2077 could have afforded another delay or two even. People had been waiting for years for this game to come out, and when it comes out rushed in the way it did, if it had more time to be made into something more concrete, then we may have had a whole different story on hand about how good the game was and how it achieved what fans were wanting. But in the end, we got a mediocre FPS that was kinda fun to play for a while.

Games where you can set your enemies on one another
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I could have sworn it allowed you to do that, but I may be wrong. Either way, it's a fun game, a bit dated in terms of controls, but I think they just released an HD remake, or are releasing an HD remake soon, so I might revisit that. -
Are there any game companies you actively boycott?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
And I don't think he will ever resign from the company. He's making too much cash right now and I don't think they can outright fire him either. Which I don't get. Maybe he's more in control of things than we thought. It's sickening that he's still in power. -
Yup, if you check out Twitch while on prime, you might be able to get additional games, since Amazon also owns Twitch. When I had Amazon prime, I connected it via my Twitch account and it gives you subs to use on streamers, and a bunch of free games and other things. Though I imagine this is connected anyway and you can get these games either through Amazon or Twitch itself.

Do you think most games will go free to play in the future?
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I feel like it's mostly for games that have been around a while. I think they do it because activity is dwindling, so they release it free to play. This will entice people to play again and will probably bring in new gamers who didn't want to pay the base price to get into it. -
Series where you eventually played the older instalments?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I hear the first couple Uncharted games are a bit dated in terms of controls. The newer games are more polished. But I suppose you could get the remastered collection that has updated visuals and controls. I think that's the route I'll take when I can get a PS4 or PS5. -
What do you do when you find unique, named items in games?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
yeah that mission. I think it marks it as important in your menu, haven't played in a year or two so I forget a bit. I imagine they're quite smart, at least before humans get their hands on them. That's the game for ya lol. I think they took a lot of liberties with how it works to ride a horse. I imagine most horses are aware enough to not flip over or trip over the dumbest things. -
Damn, I didn't even consider Spec ops the line. One of my favorite games too because of its story. Also, heavy spoilers if you watch this video. But yeah, this game makes you feel bad.

Video game final missions or bosses you wish they were different
Kane99 replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming Forum
I ended up getting it on black friday, but was still peeved about the ending. I loved the beginning and some parts of the story, and the gameplay change they did was great, but the ending took that feeling away for me. I'm sure it was a rush, because it felt like the ending was heavily rushed. -
Hard to go back to controller after getting used to mouse/keyboard?
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
I get that. But there are other options for peripherals that work just as good. Honestly, keyboard and mouse probably gives you the best control. A controller is nice, but you're going to get the best out of a mouse and keyboard combo, because of precision. -
No apologies will be enough. We expect quality from a studio like Rockstar, and when they ship a mess off to the people, it shows they don't care about the stuff they put out, as long as they get enough sales. They'll fix the problems for the remastered version, but it's too late. They failed to deliver something worthy at release and now they're having to deal with the consequences. Which makes me think, if they plan to remaster GTA IV, they will have to make it similar to what they did with GTA V, just updated visuals and maybe some updated controls as well.

A friend of mine suggested in try LARPING, but I couldn't ever see myself doing it. I have no personality for it, and I get uncomfortable quick if I have to try to act or do something like that.
-
Well as of 2022, none lol. I haven't played a lot in the new year. But I am starting Two point hospital here in a bit, so there's that.

I checked the list out, and there's some good options there. I already saw some of them, but one I liked was Indie Game: The Movie. I recommend it. I think it's the one with Phil Fish, who made Fez I believe. I think he turned out to be a douche after the release. The movie kinda shows it if I remember correctly.

The last boss fight in beyond good and evil is a pain in the ass. I think a friend told me it's pretty easy. But the controls flip on you during one of the bosses stages and it royally fucks me up every time. Oh and my save for it was borked because I was low on health and there was no way to get more to continue the fight. So I was essentially screwed and stopped playing the game because of it.

Isn't that the game that's been in development for like 10 years or more? I may be wrong on the time, but I think it started out as a Kickstarter that gained them a ton of money to make this game. It's supposed to be a really quality looking game. Most space related games tend to look pretty, kinda helps with the space setting as well.

And that's the beauty of gaming. We can have differing opinions and still be good to one another. I have a lot of differing opinions from my friends and family as well. It's what makes us all human and gave different interests.

Does anyone else find configuring brightness for games confusing?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
With brightness, I tend to turn it up more, unless it starts to get too grainey. Some games can be too dark sometimes, kinda like how some movies are too dark to see a scene. That's why brightness comes in handy. -
How do you feel when a game gives you tips after you die?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I hate when a good tip is overlooked because of a bad menu or loading screens. I think there are games where it shows an important tip, but is blocked or hidden good. Or just not that noticeable. -
Are there any remastered fmv games worth checking out? I know night trap had a remastered release. What other fmv style games got the remaster treatment?

Been rocking fortnite lately with the work friends. Been doing the easier death runs. Death runs are kinda fun. Can be annoying, but they're fun when you race friends.

What do you do when you find unique, named items in games?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I'm just glad that they mark it important, but you can still sell some of it. That's why I like during that one mission where you can steal the gift you're supposed to give from that one woman to that Braithwaite dude she loves or whoever it was. I like that you can do that.
