Series where you eventually played the older instalments?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I played the first game, but could never get into it. I remember actually buying the game from Walmart with my dad one time and i thought it'd be something I was into, but it wasn't for me. My friend showed off playing it one time though. -
Lol fair. I liked his stuff for the comedy of it. Guys a notorious douche bag in real life. I just find his action, acting, skills to be comical more than impressive lol. His movies are always a good laugh.

I wonder if Google is going to try making one again. I know Google glasses was their first start. I wonder if Google glasses could make a comeback as a vr headset.

I got the collector mentality, so I like to keep the boxes for most things.

It probably will eventually. Whenever I hear about a fan remake, it's either taken down or the creators get sued. It's not like they can sell it, so I don't get why so many studios throw a fit about it. I feel like these fan remakes are just for personal use for the most part. I doubt most of them would be released.

I didn't even take that into consideration. But that makes sense. Street fighter had animations and art work for the most part. MK had those digitized actors.

Games that allow you to modify pretty much everything
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
I'm sure some fps games are open like that, but I can't see all of them. COD especially since modifying anything in that game can result in a ban. -
Yeah I'll probably pass on it. Don't have the patience for that type of game anyway. I just hope they do like a platformer or adventure game. That'd be cool.

I'm starting to get worried about it. I have fears they will neglect their video game side of things and focus more on mobile. But I think what will end up happening, is that zynga will do its thing and will continue to focus on mobile games. Maybe we'll get some Rockstar or other games from zynga now.

What are your craziest gaming predictions for the next half century?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Another prediction I have for the future of gaming, is that gaming won't be done via a computer or console. But we'll be able to stream and game on our mobile devices. AZ we'll, VR will be a huge part of course. -
Because it seems they can't handle the toxic side of gaming. It's why mute and party chats are available for so many games and devices. Hell, we even have discord, so if anything, we probably don't deal with the toxic gamers as much as you'd think. Sure we may deal with hackers, cheaters and others like them. But for the most part, there are ways to mute and ignore people that works just as good in my opinion. These days, I think people are just so hell bent on canceling people, that this is the direction we'll end up going.

Video game final missions or bosses you wish they were different
Kane99 replied to kingpotato's topic in Gaming Forum
Probably because of time restraints. I figure they rushed the ending so that they can get there in time for the release window. The whole point of the ending is that you're supposed to assassinate the target in game. But it ends with you chasing this person on a burning boat and ends in a lazy and boring cutscene, it sucks. 😞 -
True. I've been getting some gaming in with my work friends. Been playing fortnite a ton with them. Kinda. I have a set time of work, so I could game before and after work if I wanted to.
-
Idk, delays are good sometimes, because it gives that studio more time to perfect their product. This is not like cyberpunk 2077 or the gta remastered trilogy, which both needed another delay or two if anything. I'm okay with a delay if it results in a better game releasing.

I looked through my Xbox friends list, where i have most of my gaming friends. I saw like half of them haven't been online for a long time. Usually it won't say if they were online if it's been a long time. Just says offline. Some will say online last, but not if it's more than a few years I imagine.

Games where you can set your enemies on one another
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Did destroy all humans have an option where you could set humans to attack other humans? I swear that was an option in that game. But maybe I'm wrong? -
How do you feel about boss fights with multiple stages?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I find a lot of the same boss fights in games. The usual 3 stages, certain rhythm you have to follow. I think it's lazy. When I see a game do that type of boss, I know they probably rushed it, or felt it'd be easier to just do it that way. -
Are there any game companies you actively boycott?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I've been thinking about doing the same. Haven't touched anything from blizzard or Activision lately and probably won't. The fact they still haven't fired bobby kotick is mind boggling to me. Ubisoft of course with the sexual abuse/harassment issues that they didn't do much about at all. They said their sorrys, but I don't think their ceo meant any of it. Was just about saving face. -
I heard of the NES Advantage, never owned one though. The other controller looks familiar though. I heard it worked really well though. Was definitely meant for one of Segas fishing games. I think they had one on for the Saturn as well.

50 things that changed gaming, from Computer Space to virtual reality
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
VR has come a long way. Especially if you count the virtual boy that Nintendo released. Sadly it wasn't a good product, but it showed it could be done. Just took us a while to get to a point where we can say we have decent VR options. -
One thing of note. I hate when games do this, because you should never be stuck because of low resources and such. If you can go back to search for more and can recover it later, that's fine, but I hate when games only give you so much, and then later on there's no way to get more. If they made it where you can still get what you need, than I'll be good.

Video game tech you took a long time to adopt, but now really like?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Auto game updates is another. I used to hate it, because it took too long, but downloads seem to be faster these days, at least on the newer hardware out there. Now days I keep the auto update on so that my games are updated as i work or do other stuff. -
What video game in your backlog has been waiting the longest?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I also have metal gear solid 4 on the ps3 that I never played because I don't own a ps3. I'm hoping to get a cheap ps3 soon and play it and a few other games as well. -
Hard to go back to controller after getting used to mouse/keyboard?
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Have you guys tried different types of mouse and keyboard combos? I kinda want to get that one windows keyboard that has half the keys on the left and the other have on the right. In the middle it's extended so that your right hand can use the right side more easily, same with the left on the left side. -
Is difficulty in games ever an accessibility issue? If so, when?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
What kind of assessibility controllers have you guys tried? The only one I know of is the Xbox controller, but I know some paralyzed gamers use their mouse and some blow devices to play the games they want to. I also heard of a blind man who plays street fighter with an arcade stick, and listens to the sounds of the game to figure out how to defend and fight. I heard he's a pro in the game as well. I thought that was so cool.
