  1. I had no idea there was a Sonic Generations remaster released. Well sort of. This new game includes a remastered Verizon of Sonic Generations, but also a new campaign around Shadow. So it's partly a remaster, semi sequel type of thing. I really liked generations. I thought it was one of the better Sonic games. So I am excited they did it with Shadow too. I just hope the game is as long as the original generations game. https://youtu.be/6E36fOpk-Yg?si=cgVkvSVKMKbczW1G

    Killer Bean

I would have never saw this coming. There is an animated movie called Killer Bean (2008) that seems to have a huge cult following around it. I have never watched it, but have watched a reviewer discuss it, and it sounds like it'd be some dumb fun, also it's notorious for a bad animation style and poor acting. Well, it seems some developers and the original creator of the movie Jeff Lew have decided to make a video game based on the movie and from what I am seeing this looks like it might actually be good. It looks very Matrix heavy, which I hear the movie was too. Plus the Max Payne slowdown ability.
  3. DOOM: The Dark Ages is a new game in the series, but seems to be going the prequel route instead, as this will take place before DOOM (2016) and DOOM: Eternal. This game will focus on the DOOM Slayer before he became the hero we know him as today. Who here is looking forward to this? I know the recent DOOM games have been quite popular, so I expect this to continue said trend. Check out the trailer below.
  4. This looks like it might be a relaxing game to play. It's essentially a city builder like Sim City, but the only intent is to just build. Like you're playing with LEGOs and just making whatever you want. I can see it being relaxing to play. I would like to see more from it, seems like it could get boring kind of fast. it comes out on the 21st via Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2379910/Dystopika/
  5. Life is Strange is back with an all new story for Max Caulfield. I really liked the first Life is Strange game, but didn't play the last game True Colors, though I would like to eventually. I think I played Before the Storm as well, but I don't remember. That came a little after Life is Strange. This new game brings Max back, and it seems she is experiencing a co-dimension where in one her friend is dead and in the other she is still alive. I probably did an awful job explaining it, so I'll let the trailer do it.
  6. Gears of War is back, and it looks to be going into the prequel route. I haven't really played much of the Gears games, was never too huge into them, but I understand the popularity around the series. Check out the reveal trailer below. It doesn't show any gameplay, but it certainly does look pretty good.
  7. Compulsion games, the developers behind We Happy Few and Contrast, has revealed their next game called South of Midnight. It looks to be a fantasy action adventure. You can check out the gameplay trailer below. The animation style reminds me a lot of the animated Spider-Man movies, I think it's the way the frame rate for characters seems to be lower than the actual framerate of the world. Idk, it looks cool and odd at the same time. Anyway, check it out below. Do you think this is something you'd be into? I think it looks like a lot of fun.
  8. Is there any games you think you could win in a competition or tournament? Maybe it's something like Call of Duty, Overwatch, Smash Brothers, etc. But is there a game you feel you could realistically win a competition in? Back in the day I used to think I was the best at WWE Smackdown Here comes the Pain. I played the hell out of that game, so much so that it made me think I was good. But, I never played it competitively online or against others. Is there that one game you think you've mastered enough to be good in a tournament/competition for it?
  9. Check it out, it looks like Xbox is bringing out three new Xbox Series X|S consoles. Those consoles being, a new Series X special edition with 2TB SSD, a Series X that's all digital but only boasts a 1TB SSD and a new Series S with a 1TB SSD. So no handheld like some rumors were saying. What do you think? Do you see yourself picking any of these up? Or will you just end up getting a previous model for cheaper? I'm sure prices will start to drop a little more when these models drop. These new console versions will come out this holiday season.
  10. Sorry, even if I was unreasonably rich, I don't think I would ever spend $1M on a skin in a video game. Even if it's the rarest skin around and everyone wants it. The skin in question is the The StatTrak Factory New AK-47 Blue Gem – Pattern 661. You can see an image of it below: What's crazy is that the CSGO market is worth upwards of over $3 billion, crazy I know. You can view the full story here - https://www.videogamer.com/news/someone-has-just-spent-over-1m-on-a-cs2-skin/ What do you think of this? What's the most you'd ever spend for a skin? What is the most you have spent on skins or dlc? I can't say I've spent more than $10-$20 on skins in my lifetime, unless you count getting the battle pass in Fortnite, which I really don't.

    Rocksmith+

I had no idea there was a new Rocksmith game coming out from Ubisoft. For those who don't know, Rocksmith was a popular game that allowed you to learn to play guitar all the while playing classics from the past and present. I've never played the game myself as I am not musically inclined. Though it would be fun to play the guitar and I imagine playing Rocksmith+ would be a good way to learn. Anyway, it looks like the new game just dropped, yesterday in fact. And it looks to be completely free to play. My guess is that they will be making money on the songs they have in the game. It's currently available for PC and PS5, but looks to be coming out for the PS4 and even mobile as well. At least according to the trailer as it shows Google Play and Apple stores. Check the trailer out below:
  12. This looks like a fun one, kind of reminds me of Two Point Hospital, another hospital sim game where you build and take control of a hospital. But this time it's in space and you care for more than just humans. It released late May and it's got very positive reviews on Steam. Check it here - https://store.steampowered.com/app/494730/Galacticare/ It's also available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via GOG.
  13. It is confirmed, the new Dragon Age will be called Dragon Age: The Veilguard. BioWare will be showing a gameplay reveal on June 11th. So I'm excited to see what they have to showcase. Check out BioWare's announcement here - https://blog.bioware.com/2024/06/06/TheVeilguard/ The game was originally going to be called Dreadwolf, but I guess they decided to go with something else. Do you like the new name? Or would you have preferred they went with the old name? As well, what do you expect from the gameplay reveal? I'm excited.
  14. This is messed up. Developer kindanice recently came forward with news that someone had stolen their game "Dire Decks" and released it on Steam under the name of "Wildcard". The developer who is said to have stolen the idea, goes by Terry Brash on Twitter, and he recently posted about the game on twitter, you can see that tweet below. https://twitter.com/terrybrash/status/1797842468098265194 You can find Kindanice's game here to see how close of a match it is - https://kindanice.itch.io/dire-decks And you can find more on this news from this article: https://techraptor.net/gaming/news/indie-dev-game-cloned-dire-decks The stolen game is still up on steam, but I will not be sharing it as I don't think it deserves to be shared. You can find it by searching if you need to. But when I did, I looked at Brash's games, and they all look to be clone of other games. SO my guess is this guy takes already created games and tries to pass them off as his own. In the case of kindanice's game, he had released his game back in February, and Wildcard is not yet available to play on Steam. There is definitely a case here for theft. Especially with how there was not nearly any changes made. But I am kind of suspicious about all of this, because it could be some weird publicity stunt to draw more hype for kindanice's game. Especially since Brash hasn't responded yet to any of the allegations or the hate he has been receiving. Maybe there's more to this than we know, maybe Brash was part of the development originally, maybe he did some work on it. But the fact he has released other games that look like almost exact copies, I'm doubting that. I'm interested to see what comes of this. If there is for sure theft, then I hope Steam works fast to remove this game.
  15. I've never really purchased import games before, but I have considered it for most modern consoles as a lot of them are open region, allowing most games to play perfectly fine on all consoles. But back in the day it wasn't always the case. Some consoles were compatible with games from many countries, while some were not. I look at the NES and Famicom for example, as it's often said that the Famicom games are often cheaper, especially the ones that are considered rare in the US. So, if you can find those rare US games in another country, would you rather get that version? Or do you need to eventually get the US version added to your collection?
  16. Source - https://www.videogamer.com/features/how-valve-treated-team-fortress-2-disgrace/ So it seems that Team Fortress 2 is a mess with aimbots, that it's almost impossible to play the game now. Supposedly it's so bad, that nearly every server you play on, will have at least one aimbot in the game. And Valve doesn't seem to want to make any fixes to the problem. The thing is, that TF2 still makes valve money with the hats and other items you can get in game that can later be sold. And I hear they still make good money from it. So shouldn't they than support the game by performing fixes? Or if they are intent on letting it fall to a slow death, why can't they just pull the game offline? I know fans would absolutely hate it, but it would at least tell us what kind of company Valve is. Or what they have become. If you check the steam page for TF2 as well, you'll see fans review bombing the game, as recent reviews are mostly negative because of the aimbot problem. What do you think? If Valve is making money still from TF2, shouldn't they be adding fixes to make it better? Otherwise aren't sort of stealing money from people if the product isn't working as intended? Also, if you want to make your voice heard in regards to this, there is a "Save TF2" site you can view here - https://save.tf/
  17. Check out this new 16 player beat-em-up coming out for PC in July. Should be a lot of fun to play with a group of friends. You can find out more about this game via the article below: https://thegg.net/press-releases/the-mega-brawler-outrage-fight-fest-is-coming-to-pc-via-steam-ea-on-july-16th-2024/ And of course the trailer is below. Do you see yourself playing this?
  18. Hauntii is a new indie adventure game that just released like a week or so ago for the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. I really like the art style they're going with. it's unique. You play as a ghost, and I guess you can take control of certain items and enemies by possessing them. They say to "Haunt" something, but it looks like you can take control of enemies in doing this. idk just a dumb nitpick on my part, and maybe it works both ways. Either way, is this something you'd check out?
  19. Has anyone here heard of Fading Skies? I guess it was a game that was initially started thanks for funding from Kickstarter. It's said to be an open world 3D platformer with RPG elements. The trailer kind of reminded me of character models from the mid to late 90s and into the early 2000s. But the graphics otherwise look pretty good. It's not yet out, but looks pretty interesting. So far it only looks like it'll be coming out for PC, but maybe console versions will be on the way next.
  20. This is actually pretty cool. Not sure I will really bother to use this, but it's nice to have I suppose. YouTube recently gave YouTubers access to over 75 games that they can play for free right on the platform. When on YouTube, hover over to the "Explore" area and look for "Playables". Clicking on that, will bring you to a page with mobile style video games. And it works fairly well. Tried the Draw Climber game and it works really well on browser. You can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/playables
  21. I have always wanted to have an arcade cabinet in my house, but I've never pushed the trigger. I see they sell those 1up arcades, but I don't really like those. I like the retro look of an actual arcade cabinet. But the issue there, is that these machines cost a ton now days in working order. I wish I could afford to buy a classic cabinet like Donkey Kong, Pac-man/Ms Pac-Man, or maybe something like Mortal Kombat, or one of the Street Fighter games. Idk, there's so many. Or, would you rather do a custom build of your own? I wish I could do that myself, but I don't think I have the knowledge for building it. I just think replicating the old arcades as close as possible would be cooler than getting one of those 1up arcades. What would you prefer to do? Buy a classic arcade cabinet or make a custom one of your own? Both probably would be costly, but you could probably do more building one. If I had the know-how and skills, I'd make my own cabinet, make an emulation station setup where it'd be as many consoles as possible. But I'd want to have it have a retro theme, maybe just a classic video game, or maybe a custom theme that combines the classics in one. This is more a dream of mine, but if I ever have the wealth, I might just have someone custom make me one instead.
  22. DidYouKnowGaming did a video recently detailing facts about the PS2 that were just discovered. I had no idea about any of them myself, did you? The first portion of the video talks about an unreleased Batman game that was being worked on by Volition. They got as far as making a demo of what the game would be like. It actually looked pretty decent, I would have loved to play that. And good call on cutting the menstrual gags from MGS2. Pretty damn creepy to even consider having it in the game in the first place.
  23. I just heard about this game today and it looks interesting. Reminds me a lot of the recent DOOM games. It's an online co-op horror FPS, that seems to take place in space, or on a space station/ship. It was available in early access for a while, but its full release happened on the 28th. Supposedly the ships you're on are procedurally generated, so that might add a bit to the replayability. Also I kinda like the pet gun lol. You can view the game on Steam here - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1558830/RIPOUT/
  24. What are the 10 rarest PC games out there? I never really thought much about the PC side of rare games, I was always focused on console games for the most part. But, I do wonder if there are some PC games that are just super rare to come by today. I know a lot of the older PC games are collectible. I don't know about more modern releases though. Especially the ones that had the one time use codes to play. Anyway, check the list below. Do you happen to own any of these yourself? https://thenerdstash.com/rarest-pc-games-worth-an-arm-and-a-leg/
  25. A possible PC adapter could be coming soon. Makes it all the more reason to pick up a PSVR2 if true. https://wccftech.com/playstation-vr2-official-pc-adapter-by-sony-is-being-certified/
