Watch Dogs Legion vs GTA 5--no spoilers
Kane99 replied to Reality vs Adventure's topic in Gaming Forum
I haven't played watchdogs legion yet, but from what I saw, I didn't see much of a story, at least compared to gta v. Watch dogs 2 has a good story, I really enjoyed it. But gta v still is better in terms of what it offers. But, honestly, I think I prefer watchdogs 2 over gta v. Idk I just really had more fun with the game. -
I still have love and hope this studio comes back. But take two is the big problem. They run the show for the most part. But I still have hopes we're going to get a good story at the least. I'm not expecting much with online, because I know their focus will be on maximizing their profits. It'll be a grindy chore like gta v was. But, maybe we'll get a fun single player story. That's what I mostly care about anyway.

Are there any game companies you actively boycott?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
It's not just that. They've been awful for a while. It's not even Rockstar. I mostly fault take two for the issues. They own so many companies and franchises, it's crazy. And they seem to be making poor decisions these days. -
I wonder if we're just going to end up going the way of gamepass, where everything will be subscription based. I'm honestly okay with that if I can pay a small fee to play a good amount of games. We'll probably end up seeing less and less of physical games released too.

Huh, didn't even know they were partnered. But I guess it makes sense lol.

Steam Passes 28 Million Concurrent Users, Setting New Record

Vr gaming certainly helps, but I don't see it helping much with online gaming. But I could be wrong. -
Gaming YouTubers that showcase the history of gaming
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Thanks, I'll have to check him out. I can't say I've heard of him though, but the name does kinda sound familiar. Like I probably saw his channel somewhere. -
I feel like with GTA VI(6) theye really gotta change it up. I'm just tired of the same feel and style. Change it up some. I feel like gta could use a huge boost if they reinvent themselves again. It's too repetitive nowadays.

It's extremely popular right now, i don't get into it much myself, but I know there's millions that watch and attend live events yearly. But the players aren't as famous as movie stars of singers like you said. But the sport seems to be growing in popularity so who knows what's going to happen 5-10 years from now. That's awesome! I wish you luck! 🙂👍

Same here. I can't afford vr yet. But I imagine prices will start to go down in price soon. I saw one of the oculus models was like $299, so prices seem to be going down some. But yeah, too pricey for my blood right now.

Xbox Game Pass gets Ubisoft+ and Rainbow Six Extraction
Kane99 replied to Techno's topic in Gaming News
If it doesn't cost too much more, I may consider it. But I only really want watchdogs and maybe assassins creed. So idk if it'd be worth it. If it was included in game pass ultimate, than awesome. -
Have you ever played against a famous esports player?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Esports & Competitive Gaming
Nope, I have never played against an esports player. I would give it a try I suppose, but I doubt I'd win against them. I don't even know if I would try to join an esports league or join a tournament. I can see myself having too much pressure to do an event like that. -
I think some people will live in their virtual worlds, but I don't think we'll ever get to a point where everyone will be living in a virtual world where we don't come out of it. I do think that VR will end up being a way to escape from reality, but I don't think it's good for people to stay in for too long. At least not yet. But, I think we'll inevitably will see some communities form to start their own VR community. I could see that happening more than us all living in a virtual world. It'll be more about bring communities together I hope.

Try to find a CRT TV from Sony. They tend to have some of the best CRTs out there. Honestly, I would stick with a CRT, I think they looked better. But I know there was an option to upgrade the PS2 to I think 720p, but I am not 100% sure. I don't know if an HDMI adapter would work, I think you may need to get component. But I'm not 100% sure.

How else we getting the sounds? 😄 Sucks that they waste all that food to get the sound, but then again this has been done for movies, tv, cartoons, and other video games. Sound designers must have a really fun job trying to figure out the best sound effects for their games, movies and everything else.

Oh god, I didn't even think of that. Does make me wonder how many people they killed, because when you wake up in that pit, there's quite a few bodies there. Makes you wonder how Arthur or John survived. (You can encounter them as John if you don't as Arthur).

It'll save you a ton. At $14.99 a month, you get tons of games. Yeah it levels out to $180 a year. Yeah a bit pricey, but consider that buying a game new is either $60-$70. Lets say you buy a brand new game each month, that equals to $60 a game, that would in turn come out to be $720 in the year. I feel $180 is a better loss to contend with than $720 or more.

Well in my case, it was points earned from completing races. So the only way for me to get more points, was to complete more races. Thankfully I have other missions open, but in some of those I need better cars, and in turn can't win because I don't have the needed points to upgrade cars lol. So it's a loop situation where I have to figure out a way to win each race I can.

I get that, but in a way this helps new generations see the game in a new light. I get it's a classic, but a remake doesn't take away from that. I just view a remake as a different/separate game, paying homage to the original classic. Because let's face it, new generations of gamers aren't going to know what a NES console is. The new generation of gamers don't even know what a cartridge is. But that's ok, because Nintendo has the ability to release their classic games to their storefronts. Which means, they don't even need to remaster, or remake the game if they don't want to.

I think they're more like energy drinks than alcoholic. Though I imagine there are a good amount of gaming themed alcoholic drinks out there, but I wouldn't know of any. Also, I know there are foods themed around video games. Some are just food with gaming packaging and stuff like that.

Gaming YouTubers that showcase the history of gaming
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming Forum
Eh, not a fan of Markiplier, and I didn't know he did any history style videos. I'm mainly looking for stuff like the Gaming Historian, who talks the history of gaming, and doesn't use comedy or other things. I just like hearing the history of gaming from people who know what they're talking about, and don't use comedy or make it weird if that makes sense? -
I feel like this topic has already been done, but whatever. My favorite gaming moment, would probably be my very first experience with video games. I'm pretty sure it was with SMB1 or SMB3. I don't remember exactly, but I remember it being Mario bros. That memory alone is one of my favorites growing up.

I'm starting to see them that way too. I know they're just about the money at this point. It's quite sad, but I have to blame it on Take-Two. They're the ones pushing for online I imagine, and it's what ruined RDR2 online for me. Having to grind is no fun. Not only that though, I too hate that they are stopping people from modding the single player. Hell, allow them to mod multiplayer as long as they are in their own private servers. If they're so worried, don't allow the money from private servers to jump into any public ones. Boom, solved. I wouldn't say Team Bondi's closure was on Rockstar. Team Bondi is technically the reason they failed. Supposedly the leader of the studio was awful and forced his team to work long hours and unpaid overtime. Something along those lines. There's a slew of videos and articles about how poorly Team Bondi's leaders treated their team. I'd say it was mostly their own fault, but Rockstar could have saved them too I imagine. And yeah, after the remastered trilogy fiasco, I think they really need to start producing quality content again, otherwise fans are going to start falling off their bandwagon.

Same. I haven't purchased a game new in a while. I think I did get a few games new, but they were already cheaper. I just can't justify $60 or even $70 most of the time for a lot of the games. Hell, GTA remastered came out for $60 and we all know how much of a mess that turned out to be. 😞
