  1. For sure, vacation or the holidays. Nice, I need to get a decent laptop one of these days. What games do you usually play on your laptop?
  2. What they should be doing is promising to fix the issues and not release games in unfinished states. This is nice and all, and sure I'll take a free game, but I don't think it's worth it with how it was priced at $60. But still, they need to do more I think.
  3. Yeah true. We gradually got worse at things as we get older. It's just the inevitability of life. I just hope I can play games until the day I die. I'll be playing into my elderly Years for sure.
  4. Yeah, he was banned and it was never revealed as to why. He does know, he ended up finding out what it was, but he's in the process of suing twitch for the whole situation. I think he mentioned revealing the details once the lawsuit is done.
  5. Vice City is great. It has a great story, great cast of characters a fun location. I grew up with it myself, I view it better than San Andreas in terms of story, but in terms of scope San Andreas takes the cake for me. Anyway, it hasn't aged super well, at least in terms of controls. Graphics are to be expected. But I always thought the graphics were good growing up.
  6. You guys should try it. If you play a lot of games while sitting down, that's not good for you. If you play long hours, I suggest taking breaks where you move around or just stand up once in a while.
  7. How though? Fall guys is a battle Royale game. There's no end goal unless you mean you finally got first place in it? It's none of the above. It's a puzzle game where the purpose is to unpack and put things away. Your first mission you're tasked with putting all your stuff away in your new bedroom. Then as you go along, you go through different years of your life. Moving to college, moving back home, into an apartment, your first house, etc. It's a relaxing game.
  8. Yup. It's a blueprint for a gun. It'll probably be a variation of a gun you own. I think blueprints include special attachments as well. But for this one, people were mad it didn't glow like the previews showed. And fans were not happy about that. But yeah, $27 is crazy for a gun.
  9. If I had one, I think I'd play more in handheld mode, because I don't always game on my tv anymore. Plus if I'm working all night, I wouldn't mind a switch next to me to have when I'm relaxing between the job.
  10. Yeah it had decent graphics, sadly no one was all that interested in the Saturn. It was a case of too late to the party. And I don't think they had many games that dropped in the US. I think it had some better processing power than the ps1, but don't quote me on that. I may be wrong.
  11. They probably will. Scalpers always seem to find a way. I'm passing on the oled model myself. Don't see it being worth the money.
  12. Occlusion Rift, Samsung gear, HTC vive and more. What is the best on the market right now? I've yet to use a vr headset, but I imagine the ones I mentioned are pretty decent. But what is best based on reviews?
  13. What are some mistakes that developers made, but decided to keep in game? I know with minecraft, the creeper was an accident that they just decided to keep in. I think the spy in team fortress was also born from a glitch, but it worked so well they made it into the spy class. Those are the only two examples I can think of. Are there others you know of.
  14. Do you think we'll ever get a sequel to Glover? I heard there was a planned sequel back on the n64, but it was canceled. Maybe Nintendo can buy the property up if they don't own it already. I enjoyed the game, but I did remember the controls being rough to get used to. I'd like a reboot or even a sequel. Would you?
  15. Is there a time of year that you game more often? For me I think I play more often during the holiday season. But otherwise I probably game about the same year round otherwise. What about you?
  16. Game Chasers are a group of friends that make YouTube videos showing their attempts to find rare retro games. They also have a show called the Toy Chasers where they look for toys from their childhood or rare finds. I get into these types of channels because I like to collect games and stuff from the 90s. Do you guys get into this channel? Here's their most recent video: https://youtu.be/8oeDJuGeJLE
  17. Did your parents always get consoles and games that you wanted for Christmas, your birthday or other holidays? I didn't get all the stuff i wanted. I did get a Sega Genesis, Playstation, and 360 consoles over my life. Many games I wanted too. What about you?
  18. Do you have any holiday gaming traditions? Like maybe you play a certain game each year, or have a tournament with family and friends in retro games. I don't really have any traditions to do with video games during the holidays, but I do game more during this time of year. What about you?
  19. Growing up, I was kinda into the X-files, but didn't always watch it because I was always freaked out by it. Even the intro to the show was unnerving for me growing up. Anyway, I got back into the X-files back a few years ago and watched some seasons. I clearly missed a good show. But that's not the point. I'm making this topic to see if there is any good video games based off of x-files? I know there was some X-files games released, but I only watched one lets play and I don't recall if they said it was good or bad. I'm curious to know if any good games exist.
  20. As in breaking it to see if you can access glitches, and sometimes skip segments of a story or location. I know speedrunners often break the game to find ways to completing it faster. But, have you ever broken the game by trying to jump into glitches and other areas that usually aren't accessible?
  21. What would you say was the most you've spent on a video game? Either when you bought it day 1, or when you decided to put money into it later by buying dlc and microtransactions. I know a friend of mine who's put over $1000 in Fortnite. I couldn't do that myself. I buy the battle pass each season, but that's it. He bought tons of skins and other stuff for the Save the world mode. But yeah, most I've spent, was probably on Mafia 2, limited edition. I think it just came with a steelbook case, and an art book and I think the soundtrack as well. It wasn't the greatest limited edition set. I think it was like $80. I'm a cheap person, I never really spent more than that for a video game. It could change, but I don't see that happening soon.
  22. Have you guys ever attempted to hook up any of the new gen consoles to a standard definition CRT TV? You can do it, but you need connections that can convert HDMI into RCA like connections. I've seen some people do it themselves. Like this video below for example: Would you actually do something like this yourself?
  23. With the whole situation with those grading companies (Wata and some other company, I forget) have kinds spiked the prices of retro games. Or so I think they have. Considering that they helped appraise a new in box SMB3 for like over a million dollars, but when someone else tried to put theirs up for auction, they didn't get nearly that much in return. I feel like those companies are trying to inflate the prices of retro games so that they can get the market to turn more profitable. Anyway, I feel like retro games are getting more expensive by the year. Do you guys think that retro games are becoming too expensive these days? Even lose games are getting up there in price.
  24. What are some games you find to be unintentionally scary? Gone Home was kinda scary to me, mainly because it felt so lifeless for some reason. Basically you go around your parents home, while no ones there and investigate why your family isn't there. Or so I think that's what it was, I forget. But yeah, it's just you, walking around this house reading notes and revisiting past events. But it's kinda feels weird when you're all alone in the game, with no one else being around. Other than that, I'd say Skyrim, just because of its difficulty at times. What are some games you found to be unintentionally scary?
  25. With all the drama surrounding game studios and publishers these days, it feels like it's an never ending problem. Big corporate entities that don't care about the people making their products, just continuing to line their own pockets. I have a fear that 2022 will be much of the same, just companies abusing their employees, making horrible decisions, releasing games far too early or unfinished and so on. I feel like we're in a point where this is just going to keep getting worse. What do you think though? Will 2022 be a better year for gaming? Or will it be much of the same?
