  1. yeah I saw some on Amazon a while back, but wasn't sure if I wanted to grab one of those. Just seemed awfully cheap. But I will keep an eye out for any others that may be worth it. Do you have any suggestions for good USB vacuums?
  2. Graphics for me aren't that important. As long as it doesn't hurt my eyes, and I can play without much fuss, I will be happy with the end result. Now, if the graphics are a major downgrade and make it hard to sit through, then yeah, I'd hope for a graphic update at least.
  3. Glad to hear it. I can play most games, but any that may be resource hogs I try to not play for long periods of time, because I am paranoid it would result in damage to my PC. But I found I just turn down the settings. Even when settings are turned down, the games still usually look good, so I can't complain. 🙂 Yeah, I heard if there is a lot of abuse to the computer, it would just shut down to protect itself. I haven't encountered that yet thankfully. 🙂
  4. Yup, that's one issue I have to. I see a game I want in my collection and bam, I have more games that I won't be touching anytime soon. I still have Borderlands 3 sitting on my shelf, brand new, and yet to even play it. I was considering just giving it away to my nephew, since I really have no interest in playing it anytime soon.
  5. Yeah I guess Cuphead would fit into this, because who would have thought a game about a cup would make it big. But yeah, it does seem to be quite meme heavy in some regards. I've yet to play it myself, I hear it's pretty tough.
  6. You don't need to play them, but they are good games in their own right and I'd say they are worth going through to get a feel for what GTA used to be and what it has become. GTA V is vastly different than the original 3D trilogy, but it stands in its own category if anything. GTA V is more serious, but the past GTA games are more relaxed and comical, also random. But I'd recommend playing them all. Except for maybe GTA 3 because it's not nearly as good as the sequels. Though it's the first one I played in the series and still rather love.
  7. Ah nice, good to know. I heard a while back you could do it, so I was curious how it worked. I guess they make it work like the other player is just using a second controller, not sure. But it's cool that they're making these retro games playable online with friends. Now if we could see other NES and classic retro games, get this treatment somehow, that'd be cool. I'd love to see all cart based games playable online somehow. Maybe through emulation or through Nintendo's online service. But now that I see it's possible, I want to see other retro games do the same.
  8. I mean, it's as good as any other year I'd say. The scalpers are probably the ones that made the year worse, considering so many people are yet to get the new gen consoles, and scalpers are still taking control. I think by mid 2022 though, we'll start to see that trend slow down and people will be able to get consoles a lot faster. I hope so at least. But other than that, 2021 was kinda a tame year. I didn't see anything too impressive. Maybe Deathloop could be considered best game of 2021, but idk what else to be honest.
  9. I wish schools did this when I attended. I always dreamed of going to a class where I could do anything with video games. I was born in the wrong time I guess haha! But seriously, this is cool because it gets a lot of these kids started on game development, and learning the systems to make said games. I wish I had started on stuff like this in high school, because who knows, maybe I'd be a game developer by this point.
  10. That'd be something. I could see us getting close to contact lenses that have screens. Not sure how much that'd cost companies, but I think it'd be cool. Yeah, or maybe we have ones we wear 24/7. We can even use it on the go. I think that'd be crazy fun! Oh, you mean like a seat where you can sit and play in VR? Kinda like the animus? 😄
  11. Thanks. I tried can of air in the past, but maybe I put it too close to my PC. This guy doesn't spray so close, so maybe that's why my older PC died on me. I'll keep this in mind when I eventually get to cleaning my PC. 😄
  12. I personally loved the second movie, but couldn't get invested into the original. I liked the original the first viewing, but it was just too dark (hard to see stuff) and the bad guys were pretty boring. Also I hated the Joker, and felt like that movie wasted its time on the Joker subplot. The second movie had great comedy and action as well. And it was more colorful and wasn't as dark. 😄
  13. You'd think, at least with GTA. Minecraft had so many channels starting out, and it seems like there are still a lot of people on YouTube playing and streaming content around Minecraft. I never expected it to be as big as it is. New generations keep coming back to it. I'm sure games like GTA will come close to it one day. Not sure if Skyrim & RDR2 are that popular on YouTube these days though. Seems mostly battle royale stuff, MC and GTA for the most part.
  14. I could actually see that happening. Especially if all companies start their own Game pass like service. Soon enough we'll be making cable like providers to combine all the services into one. I hope that day doesn't happen though. Honestly sports games should go that route. That PES game is making their future Soccer title free to play, I forgot the title of it, but they plan to update it periodically. Madden and other sports titles could benefit from just letting a studio continually work on it.
  15. Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that one. I played that one all the way through, was a pretty fun game. I also forgot about Goat Simulator, that one I'd say counts here. But yeah, Untitled Goose Game was a blast. I wish it was a lot longer though, because it felt really short. Maybe they expected you to replay it over and over.
  16. It's one of those games I will never forget. The opening scene with that awesome soundtrack. I sadly have never beaten it. My skills were always tested playing it, even though I'd never get very far. But it was always a treat to boot this game up and hear that music blaring. I love it. The stage 1 music is my favorite for sure:
  17. I was thinking Spy Hunter as well, mainly because of the cover art I think. But yeah, it clearly is somewhat inspired by spy hunter, I imagine most games that feature car combat, are also inspired somewhat by Spy Hunter. I mean who wouldn't, it's a classic in its own right. I'm surprised they haven't done much with the Spy Hunter series. Wasn't The Rock the cover star for the most recent game?
  18. It was pretty new to me as well, but I guess a lot of the ones for blind players utilize audio and other options. I imagine they also make controllers and devices that can help the blind navigate games. Of course, 100% blindness probably is a no go, but maybe if it features sound controls. I found this game: Lost and Hound - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1054350/Lost_and_Hound/ It's cool that people are making games like this to help others who normally couldn't to play games.
  19. For sure. As long as it is in the proper setting, it should be fine. We can always mess around with history, that's the beauty in video games. Games like Assassin's Creed introduce real people from the past, in made up scenarios, but that's okay, because it's meant to heighten a game. And honestly, we probably shouldn't be looking to video games for world history. It's good to be accurate, but it also doesn't need to be unless it's meant to be a historic rendition. Games like COD, take liberties these days, so I wouldn't count their games are truth, but a lot of them do have true aspects of them. Or I should say, at least with the online portions, because a lot of these games have red dot sights when they didn't exist during the time.
  20. That's fair. I am kinda the same way, at least depending on the game. For example, when I play Fortnite with a couple friends, we like to get into bot lobbies, and to do this, you need someone with a console or another device that has fortnite and we need to bring in a 1 level player. Once we get in, we kick the 1 level player and then we're in lobbies with bots the whole way through. We have to keep adding and kicking the other player, but that's fine if you would rather just play against bots. Doesn't have to be online, could be via splitscreen multiplayer. Many consoles today still support it, it's just that most people don't play that way anymore. But you can still talk about retro and classic games that had local multiplayer. I played a lot a 2-player video games growing up, so you can be competitive offline too. 👍
  21. Or it could have gone the way where all future GTA titles released on Xbox consoles. But I'm glad that didn't happen, because I would not have been able to play the classics on the PS2. Kinda good that Microsoft rejected it. It's their loss. Idk, I think they'd still be regarded as one of the best in the industry, and it would also help sell the consoles. But, if it happened, than I could see PlayStation making their own open world game similar to it, and who knows we may have had another sandbox competitor to GTA on top of all the others already out there.
  22. Interesting. The Order: 1886 was one of the first launch titles for the PS4. Wow it feels like a long time ago when I heard about that one. I remember it getting mediocre reviews, and was regarded as nothing that special. It did have great graphics and cinematics, but the rest I guess wasn't up to snuff. Anyway, Sony has recently filed a new trademark for the game, which could mean we're getting a new game, or a possible remaster. My bet is it'll be a remastered version with upgraded controls and of course graphics. But, I could be wrong because people hated how short the game was. Maybe it is for a sequel. Would you like to see a sequel? or a remaster? Source - https://novicegamerguides.com/news/sony-files-a-new-trademark-for-the-order-1886/
  23. What are some of the meme like games you've played in your lifetime? I think of games like Goat Simulator as a meme game. You can probably quality most of the simulator games as meme games. But, what are some other games, you feel could be a meme in itself? Like, what are some crazy and wacky games that make no sense, but feel like memes, or have memes in them? Does that make sense?
  24. We all should be supporting these small mom and pop game stores these days. Gamestop is a corporation I can't get behind. They do their employees wrong quite often. But mom and pop stores are the home grown stores that families start. They are usually the game collectors, fans and so on, who care about the gaming industry. Stores like Gamestop, don't care about the games they sell, they just want to make as much money as possible. Which is why they do a horrible job vetting the retro games that come into their stores. I hear they sell a lot of bootleg junk and don't even know it. They're getting better at stopping it, but I hear it still happens. Which is why I'd rather go to a mom and pop game store, because they at least, imo, know what they're selling, and don't try to cheat you. Well I'm sure some do, but I imagine most are good and price fair.
  25. I don't understand why this game didn't get a sequel yet. It got an HD remaster, and who knows if it'll get another remaster. I could do with that, but I would prefer they make a sequel instead. I loved the fighting and action, the driving could use some work, but it wasn't awful. Just give me a new game in the series please.
