Yup, I was aware it was just a small portion of it, but still, from that alone it looks like you have a lot to get through. I am too lazy to type up all the games I own. But I could only imagine what it was like for you to write out all the games you owned. I knew a guy at another site I frequented, and he joined up on a lot of trading sites and would grab every game he could. He was trying to collect everything, good and bad to have the biggest collection. Dude was a bit out of this world though and got on many peoples nerves lol.

Insider Warns Fans That Grand Theft Auto 6 Could Be 'Disappointing'
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
In recent years though, a lot of the people leaking stuff has been true. I am nervous as well, because it sounds like they aren't close to being done, and if released soon, people may be disappointed. What I think I'm most worried about, is that they will half-ass the story and online will be where most of, or all of their time will be devoted to. And that's what they will probably end up doing, considering that GTA Online is their hot seller. Without GTA Online, they probably wouldn't be updating so much. And other people are worried that it will be online only, even the single player. I hope that rumor is not true. -
A kid I went to high school with, used to play COD games a lot, he still does in fact, and during the COD years on the 360, I remember him often tallying his win-loss record when he did 1V1 games. Had a record for that, as well as quick scope matches. He would often be challenged by people and would face them. Anyway, the topic isn't about him, it's about if you tally your online career at all. Do you count the amount of wins and losses you have? Or do you just not care enough to do that? I don't care enough to mark down that stuff. But I know some people think it's special. Most online games will give you these details anyway. But, would you still tally your win/losses?

News from - https://exputer.com/news/games/new-splinter-cell-game-reportedly-in-development/ More Splinter Cell would be awesome right about now. Last Splinter Cell game was something I kinda got into, but the copy I had wasn't working properly due to a scratch in the disc. I think it was too deep. Anyway, that's not the point of the topic. What is, is that Ubisoft has filed a new trademark for a possibly new Splinter Cell game. The trademark was filed last week, and the description of that stated: After this, more leaks came out saying that a new Splinter Cell could feature an open world map, where it will be more stealthier than Assassin's Creed. What this means, is we're getting (possibly) an open world Splinter Cell game. I'm all for that. Do you think an open world Splinter Cell game would be worth it?

Geek Therapy is a non-profit that advocates for the use of video games and gaming in general to help cope and combat anxiety and other such mental issues and problems. I think it's great that there are communities out there trying to showcase the good side of video games, and how it can help people through troubling times. Gaming has helped me relax, get over a bad day or problems in my life. Gaming has kept my mind off of problems and has even helped me meet new people. You can read more about what they do here - https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/play-therapy-prescribes-video-games-to-combat-anxiety Geek Therapeutics is another community I know of that is similar in this, as they too use video games for the social good and helping those with mental illness and other issues. They are a really great group of people. Anyway, do you think gaming is good? Can it be used for therapy?

And the big reason as to why is, supply. Yup, probably due to the many scalpers focussing mostly on the Sony console, the Xbox and Switch consoles sold fairly good during the black friday shopping season. In the grand scheme of things, this doesn't necessarily matter, but what does matter, is that people who want these consoles, aren't all getting them. I think the scalpers are to blame, because supply has been so scarce, that stores haven't been getting as many in stock as they should be. The PS5 should be stacked on store shelves, but they aren't because scalpers grab them up. So these stores have to enact these policies and waitlists so that they can get the legit customers to get their purchases in. What do you guys think? You can read more on this news here - https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/shopping/nintendos-switch-and-microsofts-xbox-outsold-the-playstation-5-during-the-years-most-important-sales-month/ar-AARLLHU?ocid=BingNewsSearch

And that's why dbrand or the other companies that tried to make their own, had to cease operations. Sony announced their own PS5 covers, and I'm not feelin any of them. If anything, they look kinda lazy, and there seems to only be 4 models at release. A pink, violet, blue, black and maroon I think. I would have liked a nice green one, or maybe something with some designs. Are you going to buy a PS5 cover whenever you get your PS5?

Thanks, I'll check it out. Yeah same here. F1 is the only one I can think of, but I'm sure there are some others worth checking out that may not be named F1. All I know about F1 games, is that the cars go pretty fast lol. So I figure I'll need to take the game a little slow to get the rhythm and things down.

Nice! I have an older PC that has Windows 10 on it yet. I'm considering installing XP on it and making it into a older game PC. Since I got my gaming PC, I could probably modify it enough to make it play older games, including dos games. Which is mainly what I want to do. Plus, it has a good amount of storage, RAM and a good processor I think.

Yeah the story for the present day animus stuff wasn't great. But I felt there was some potential that we could see a game set in current times, or even the future. Honestly, I would be fine if they just removed the animus, and somehow the people previously in it, are becoming modern day assassins or something. That's what I thought would happen with the modern day story originally, that Desmond or whatever his name was, would become the next Assassin and we'd see a game set in modern USA or something. I think it could be a fun change for the series. I haven't played Valhalla yet, but heard it was really good though. I think having it be modern day, would service the story some, because the whole point of the animus was to find secrets from the past. So I think it could have worked to further the story in the modern day side of things, because that's where the story was supposed to go originally. I think fans expected to take over as Desmond at some point, and he'd be an assassin fighting the templars that are still alive causing issues.

Insider Warns Fans That Grand Theft Auto 6 Could Be 'Disappointing'
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
I thought GTA V was funny and edgy enough, but I started to notice with each new release, it started to become more serious and stripped out the comedy a bit more. GTA IV was first to go serious, but it still had that GTA humor. But with GTA V, I started to realize they were getting even more serious and less comedic. There was still funny moments, Trevor was mostly the comedic portion of the game, but I kinda found him to be annoying after a while. But with how this political climate has changed the past 8 years, GTA VI could be a way different experience for all we know. We'll see though. You forgot GTA II, and I think London 1969, but I wouldn't count that necessarily as it's said to be an expansion pack for GTA1. There was also the PSP games, Liberty City Stories and I think they did a Vice City Stories game as well. Those were re-released The Lost and Damned was DLC for GTA IV, along with the Ballad of Gay Tony DLC. But they did release the two together as a separate set where you didn't need the base game. And you are right, the series has gotten quite stale. I never played the top down versions of the game, but the 3D games that came after I did. GTA III is one of my favorites, mainly because it was my first experience with GTA, then Vice City came along and I fell in love with that. Then San Andreas, I think that's when I started to feel the fatigue. I played it once, and lost the save file due to a demo disc that corrupted the save, and I had to replay it. After that, I kinda just got tired out. GTA IV came along, and I started to see it even more. I'd do the missions, complete the game, and I rarely came back to it. GTA V became much of the same thing. Which is why I don't really play it all that often anymore. In fact, last time I played GTA V, was quite a while back. If they can top RDR1 in scope and style with RDR2, they can easily do the same for the next GTA. I think they will have to innovate on the game a lot more though, because we've been through so many GTA games as it is, that I think they need to make the best looking game, with the best features the series has ever seen. As well, they need to change the gameplay up a bit, or refine it a bit. The controls in recent GTA and RDR games have been kinda weighty at times. Oh that is clearly what this guy is doing, but if it's true, it's good to know what we may be getting, because I'd hate to see GTA change too much either. This guys has supposedly leaked a lot of other stuff in the past that turned out to be true. I think he may be working with Rockstar, or he's got a person feeding him details. Or he could outright be lying for all we know. -
Oh for sure, I love seeing the games I've completed and even not completed. It's just a constant reminder that I have games I've yet to play. 😄 From what I saw of your collection, it'll take quite a while to get through it. I don't think I'll ever get through my own backlog, but I kinda came to terms with it. Plus, I do have some crappy games in my collection that I wouldn't even dare touch. But other than that, there are still a lot I'd want to play and I probably won't get to them all. Yeah, if I can't think of anything to play from my backlog, I just go back to a game I am familiar with myself. I've gone back to RDR1 and GTA often in the past, same with COD, but I have kinda gotten tired of those games. I'm thinking about jumping back into RDR2 again soon as well.

Jumped back into wreckfest the other day, and am hoping to pick it back up here soon. other than that, been playing the new season of Fortnite and I'm really enjoying it so far. Spider-man has joined this season, and during it you can use his web slinging ability. It works really well and I wouldn't mind them keeping the web slinging in game. But I doubt they will.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind when I game next. I usually have my other screen up and it has discord and browsers open. But I don't see that causing much issues. I'll keep that in mind though and change settings accordingly. Thank you I will do exactly that from now on. I figure the smoother the experience, the better. I also don't want my PC to tire itself out trying to play popular games. Same here. I have a fairly decent graphics card though and my PC seems to run fine with a game and other apps running. But I notice that some games are tougher on my PC than others, that's for sure.

What's the most competitive you ever been at a video game?
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Esports & Competitive Gaming
I get why some would. Gaming is fun, and if you are a pro at it, why not take advantage of it. I mean, if I had the skills to beat most players in certain games, I'd take that as the opportunity to try my hand at pro gaming. But, since I am no pro, there's no chance I would unless it's a novice tournament or something. But it's also nice that these tournaments offer cash prizes, so if I was a pro, I'd give it a shot. CSGO is for sure competitive. I remember the first time I got it on the 360, I was destroyed left and right. I just couldn't get into it. -
Now that's just something for the memes lol. I bet it's about just keeping the game on for that long, or someone just really loves to watch paint dry. Maybe they use it as a screensaver. 😄 Definitely on purpose. They saw the many simulator games on the market, and decided to make a quick thing for the laughs. If you watch the video for the game on steam, you'll see this guy is just doing this for the fun of it. I doubt he's made much on this game either, considering there is only 32 reviews. And on top of that, it's only $1. They game even says it's a 6 hour experience. Which means, he hopes that people keep this game up for more than 2 hours so they can't get the refund. Smart! lol

Gamerant has an interesting article here - https://gamerant.com/grand-theft-auto-6-disappointing-bad-rumor-leak/ About someone who leaked some details about GTA 6. What he said was that people don't understand how chaotic development has been for the game so far. And that if the game happens to be announced this year or in 2022, then we can really be worried. I think what is being implied here, is that development may be struggling to make the game fans really want, and if it's coming out sooner than we expected, we may be in for some problems. As well, it's rumored that the game won't be as funny or edgy, which many fans are worried about. It doesn't help that the political climate is starting to change shows and movies, so now it's starting to make its way into video games. Are you worried that GTA 6 will be a let down?

There are still some Super Mario characters that haven't gotten their own game or games yet. What characters would you like to see get their own games? I know Peach had a game back on the DS called Super Princess Peach, but I don't think we had many other games featuring her as the main playable character. I'd like to see her have her own adventure, away from Mario. Maybe they can do a team-up with Princess Peach and Princess Daisy. I don't think Daisy had her own game. I also wouldn't mind more games from the villains side. We got a Bowser game, why not a game that features the main enemies of Mario, like goombas and koopa troopas. Idk, I think it's be cute to get a game featuring the baddies and their side of the story.

I am not big on the anime stuff myself, but I know there is a huge fandom there. I know most of the popular animes out there have their own video game, at least one. I am mostly familiar with stuff like DBZ, Naruto (never watched it though), Attack on Titan and a few more. What are some anime shows or movies that you'd like to see get the video game treatment? Lets pick out animes that don't yet have their own video game tie-in.

Oh cool! My last 360 I put a buncha stickers on it. I got these stickers when I checked into shows online back in the day, and they would send you a sheet of stickers for all the shows you watched and signed in for. I had a bunch from tv shows like Game of Thrones, Dexter, Community, The League and more. Other than that, I also had a Flight of the Conchords sticker on it. Sadly that consoles disc drive died on me, so I put it in an old box and stuffed it in the closet. I eventually got another 360 that I put one Flight of the conchord decal on, and that was it.

After I rage quit a game, I will often take a break and maybe come back to it, but other times I will be done for a few weeks to a month or more before I try going back to it. Some games can be a bit too tough for me, so taking a break after getting into a stuck spot, is not ideal, but it's better for my mental health lol. But yeah, I a game is causing me too many issues, I usually give up after enough tries. Just not worth it to waste my time if I can't do it. I'll try another day.

I'm interested in finding out what it's all about. I'm assuming it's an alternate timeline. But, they do mention Brainiac is in charge, so he's controlling the Flash. I can only assume that we'll see the rest of the Justice League and maybe the Flash is just one of the first characters you're tasked to kill. But idk, it is titled kill the justice league, but I doubt they'll kill the whole justice league. Did you watch the new Suicide Squad movie? I found it leaps and bounds better than the first one. It was so good, highly recommended. 🙂

Source - https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2021/12/12/sony-patent-app-multiplayer-griefers/ It looks like Sony is attempting to patent a new application for a new system that would take care of trolls and disruptive people in multiplayer games. The article above doesn't go into much detail about how it will catch people being rude and obnoxious, but it does mention that the system will learn and catch certain actions. idk, it's a little confusing to me. But I do worry that it could cause false bands or suspensions. I'm all for more options for games to mute and block those types of people who make trouble, but idk if this is the right route.

I don't know if you guys have already heard about this, but Google Play will be supported on Windows 10 in 2022, as you will be able to play games from the Google Play store. I heard a while back that I think this was coming for Windows 11, but it sounds like Windows 10 is also getting it. Not sure if I really see a need for this myself, but maybe there are some good Google Play games that work good on PC as well. Any suggestions maybe? 😄 Source - https://persiadigest.com/google-play-games-android-games-will-arrive-on-windows-10-pcs-in-2022-google-play-store-microsoft-windows-video-game/

Oh great, first it was Ubisoft with their new NFT service in their upcoming games, and not Peter Molyneux is making a Blockchain Business Sim For those wonder, Peter is the father of the Fable series, and has often lied about the games he released. And part of me is worrying about this, because he seems to be the type to try something like this to make some quick cash. The game was recently announced during an event at the Gala Games’ Galaverse in Las Vegas. The game will be titled Legacy and will be developed by Gala Games. I think this NFT stuff is getting out of hand, and this is going to result in some problems going forward I bet. Just something seems wrong with all of this. Read about it here - https://kotaku.com/peter-molyneuxs-next-game-is-a-blockchain-business-sim-1848201920
