I don't always use the tutorials for some reason. If they don't force it on you, I rarely bother with tutorials unless I can't figure out the controls. There are times where I need to learn the controls for sure, but some games I find I can pick up without them.

Biggest adjustments you’ve had to make with a new generation of games?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
As for my biggest adjustments. I'd day that having the internet on your console is one thing that I had to adjust to I think. It was just so different and changed the world of gaming pretty much. -
I know right, it's a really powerful trailer. Makes me kinda worry about the gameplay, because I worry that it's not going to be this good. But, we shall see. I'm still excited to see how this plays.

They're supposed to be making a new bond game, I think from the makers of Hitman, Eidos interactive. I forget if that's correct or not. But yeah, I don't think it'll be based on the newer movies, as I think it'll be its own story not connected to the actual movies. Kinda how the Mad Max game was like. But yeah, we're in need of a new Bond game. It's been too long.

I've completed GTA III to GTA V. So every game in between aside from the PSP games that were re-released on PS2 back in the day. I mostly just stuck with GTA III, GTA Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV and V. Other than that, I haven't really played the original top down GTAs, at least not long. But yeah, I expect to also play GTA VI ocne that comes out.

If you could revisit one gaming generation, what would it be and why?

And to also let people know how cool gaming will be in the future. I think it'd be cool to bring a game from the future somehow and show them how advanced things really get. Imagine their reactions. -
This game looks like a ton of fun. It looks to be a 3rd person shooter set in a future time. I'm reminded of the Rebels in Star Wars with the design of your outfit. It also looks like you get to take on waves of robots or mechs. Is this something you guys are interested in?

Omg this actually looks like it'll be a ton of fun. It looks to be mixing horror with a flair of comedy and action. Honestly this looks like a lot of fun. I wasn't sold on the monsters in the beginning of the trailer, but damn does it start to get crazy as you watch. On top of all that, it's from the creator of Silent Hill and has music from Akira Yamaoka, so I'm down for this.

New trailer dropped at the game awards tonight, and it's looking a lot like Dark Souls. That's to be expected when it's from the maker. Do you guys think it's a buy for you? I'm betting it's going to be crazy tough, so I don't know if I will be checking it out, but I know the Souls fans will be all over this.

Surprised there was no topic yet for this one. It's the sequel to the hit game A Plague Tale: Innocence. I'm not expecting much of a difference with this game, but I assume they got a much bigger budget and can afford to do a bit more now. Anyway, check the recent reveal trailer below.

Looks like Epic Games is trying their hand at yet another battle royale style game, but with twist. It looks to be more of a fighting game mixed with a battle royale. Since I'm a fan of pro wrestling, I'm getting a lot of wrestling vibes from this, so I may have to give this a try when it releases. It's also free to play and coming out February 2022.

A new cinematic trailer dropped during the game awards just a bit ago. Reminds me the trailer that Dead Island did all those years ago. Doesn't show a whole lot of details on the game considering it's a cinematic trailer, but it shows what kind of creepy creatures will be in it.

I'm not too huge into the Borderlands series of games, but I know people who are huge fans. This one does admittanly look fun, but I will probably end up passing on it like all the others in the series. But for those into it, you can check the trailer below. Is this one going to be a day one buy for you?

I've been posting a bunch of topics for each game that has been revealed and showcased so far. I don't really care much for the game awards themselves. I'm sure all the good games will win their fancy awards and all that. I'm just in this for the reveals. 😄

Nightingale is another sweet reveal that came out during the game awards show today. This one looks like a trippy horror game with some fun monster designs. Essentially people get trapped in this weird dimension and have to survive and find a way out. And it looks to have some survival and building mechanics. Does this one look like a game you'd get?

The Game Awards giving us more reveals. It's like early Christmas for me. I'm not sure about this one though. I'm not super into the acting, at least with the main character, but the gameplay looks pretty dope at least. It's something new and different, so I may give it a try eventually. What do you guys think? Worth a buy?

Getting a Little Nightmares vibe from this one, with a mix of inside. It's from developers Jumpship. Surprisingly the person behind the game also was involved with Inside and Limbo. So I think that's why it looks so similar. It's also played in the same way essentially.

Bumping this topic as they just released a brand spanking new trailer for the game. And it is looking like a really fun game. Lot of action. Rocksteady knows how to do action though, so this game is going to be a day one buy for me.

Sonic is back in Sonic Frontiers, which was recently announced during the game awards. Sonic Forces left a bad taste in a lot of fans mouths, so they need to make something special with this one. You can check the reveal trailer below. Do you think it'll turn out to be a good game? Or will Sega have another dud on their hands? This time around though, they look to be going for an open world with exploration. I'm kinda into that.

We're getting a new Star Wars game from the team at Quantic Dream. I never would have expected Quantic Dream to make a Star Wars game, or any other popular IP for that matter, but it looks like they're taking new steps into their future. This is just a cinematic trailer, but it looks really cool. I hope it's not like Quantic Dreams choice driven style of games, but maybe that'll be good idk.

New trailer dropped during the game awards this year. Well this is the gameplay trailer. I'm really excited for this one.

Another game reveal I did not see coming, this time it's a game based off the hit 1974 movie, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's developed by Gun Interactive, who you may know from making the recent Friday the 13th video game. Well since that games license fell through due to some issues with rights, I'm glad to see they were able to get another horror movie icon their own video game. I'm getting the game is a glitchy mess at first like Friday the 13th was, but I'm willing to bet it'll be a better experience this time around. Check the brief trailer below.
-
Monolith games, the people behind games like the Middle Earth series, F.E.A.R. series and more. Would have prefered rocksteady to do it instead, but maybe Monolith will do a good job. The trailer below doesn't show much, but I'm going to assume it's going to be an action adventure game.
-
Oh hell yeah, Alan Wake 2 has been announced at the game awards 2021. I am psyched! It's going to be a survival horror game this time around. Wonder how that's going to turn out. Check out the trailer below.

I don't normally pre-order but if they offered day one delivery with the pre-orders, I think I'd consider it more often. Yeah these days you can pre-load a digital game and have it installed the night before. But pre-orders don't usually offer much of anything, so maybe getting the game day one at your door is probably a good reason to consider pre-ordering. But, would it be enough for you to pre-order more? I haven't pre-ordered much in recent years, because I've fallen into getting digital most days, but I know there are people who still collect physical games, so being able to get them day one through pre-order is nice. And I know some people even get games earlier than expected, because some games break their streat date.
