  1. The Game Awards giving us more reveals. It's like early Christmas for me. I'm not sure about this one though. I'm not super into the acting, at least with the main character, but the gameplay looks pretty dope at least. It's something new and different, so I may give it a try eventually. What do you guys think? Worth a buy?

Getting a Little Nightmares vibe from this one, with a mix of inside. It's from developers Jumpship. Surprisingly the person behind the game also was involved with Inside and Limbo. So I think that's why it looks so similar. It's also played in the same way essentially.
  3. Bumping this topic as they just released a brand spanking new trailer for the game. And it is looking like a really fun game. Lot of action. Rocksteady knows how to do action though, so this game is going to be a day one buy for me.
  4. Sonic is back in Sonic Frontiers, which was recently announced during the game awards. Sonic Forces left a bad taste in a lot of fans mouths, so they need to make something special with this one. You can check the reveal trailer below. Do you think it'll turn out to be a good game? Or will Sega have another dud on their hands? This time around though, they look to be going for an open world with exploration. I'm kinda into that.
  5. We're getting a new Star Wars game from the team at Quantic Dream. I never would have expected Quantic Dream to make a Star Wars game, or any other popular IP for that matter, but it looks like they're taking new steps into their future. This is just a cinematic trailer, but it looks really cool. I hope it's not like Quantic Dreams choice driven style of games, but maybe that'll be good idk.
  6. New trailer dropped during the game awards this year. Well this is the gameplay trailer. I'm really excited for this one.
  7. Another game reveal I did not see coming, this time it's a game based off the hit 1974 movie, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's developed by Gun Interactive, who you may know from making the recent Friday the 13th video game. Well since that games license fell through due to some issues with rights, I'm glad to see they were able to get another horror movie icon their own video game. I'm getting the game is a glitchy mess at first like Friday the 13th was, but I'm willing to bet it'll be a better experience this time around. Check the brief trailer below.
  8. Monolith games, the people behind games like the Middle Earth series, F.E.A.R. series and more. Would have prefered rocksteady to do it instead, but maybe Monolith will do a good job. The trailer below doesn't show much, but I'm going to assume it's going to be an action adventure game.
  9. Oh hell yeah, Alan Wake 2 has been announced at the game awards 2021. I am psyched! It's going to be a survival horror game this time around. Wonder how that's going to turn out. Check out the trailer below.
  10. I don't normally pre-order but if they offered day one delivery with the pre-orders, I think I'd consider it more often. Yeah these days you can pre-load a digital game and have it installed the night before. But pre-orders don't usually offer much of anything, so maybe getting the game day one at your door is probably a good reason to consider pre-ordering. But, would it be enough for you to pre-order more? I haven't pre-ordered much in recent years, because I've fallen into getting digital most days, but I know there are people who still collect physical games, so being able to get them day one through pre-order is nice. And I know some people even get games earlier than expected, because some games break their streat date.
  11. Back in the day when retro gaming was king, we didn't have the internet to get our tips from. I never called a video game hotline before, but I know they were a very popular means to get the helped needed to get through that tough level. Has there ever been a time where you called a gaming hotline for tips? If so, how was it, did they provide you with the tips you needed? I wonder what it was like working as a caller on these tip hotlines. I know Nintendo had one, I'm sure Sega had one, and many others did as well. Are there even any gaming hotlines still left out there? I doubt it, because I'd imagine we'd still hear something about it. And with the rise of the internet and YouTube, tip hotlines aren't really needed anymore.
  12. I've never played Godfall, but they literally took out the base game and just left in the last portion/dlc? That's makes absolutely no sense. My guess, is that they may continue to update the game with new content. But even so, I think I'd prefer the full package rather than a portion near the end. It's like game studios and publishers don't have common sense about the choices they make with their game. It's as if they don't realize that there are tons of gamers at the ready to call them out for doing dumb things like this. What's the challenge of having the final set of missions and not most of the base game? I really hope this doesn't become a trend going forward. Where they split games up. Maybe I'd be okay with it if they offered that portion free for life, but it'd defeat the purpose of getting the game in the first place wouldn't it?
  13. My favorite online games would probably have to be Star Craft growing up. It technically was my first experience with online play. I wasn't any good, but I had fond memories trying to learn. I would also include the likes of Cod 4, Fortnite, GTA IV and V (for a while), Minecraft, and I'm probably missing something, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.
  14. Battle Royale is one of the most popular genres whether you like it or not. I don't see it going away anytime soon. But, I am curious what you guys think could be coming next on the horizon. We already got a vampire battle royale game with that Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt, and I think there was a dodgeball game that was kinda inspired by the genre. Are there any new battle royales you're looking forward to? I've been playing Fortnite again since the recent update, and I feel like trying some new games in the genre. Any suggestions?
  15. I believe there is a PS5 VR in the making yet, but so far you can use PS VR on the PS5 if you want. Just that I don't think any newer games for the PS5 work for it yet, but I may be wrong on that. Please correct me if so. Either way, I assume we'll be getting a new PSVR eventually, and it will have better screen, graphics, and all that jazz. Do you think then that the old PSVR will be obsolete with newer titles? Or will it still be supported? I want to get myself a PS5 one day and be able to finally get my VR game on, but that may be a while yet.
  16. I know Amazon is trying to get more involved with gaming, and they have so far with New World. But I assume they want to do a lot more. Every big game publisher or developer is buying small studios, maybe it would be wise for Amazon to invest in some small studios themselves. They don't even need to buy them up, they could contract them out, hire them, etc. I think with the money Amazon has, they can easily procure a couple studios and even hire on a few studios if they so desired. But, who knows what could come of that. Probably will end up being yet another greedy publisher.
  17. Not in terms of user opinions, but like wikis and details on the game as a whole, including cast of characters, plot outlines, and so on. I know sites like Giantbomb do this, where they list off pretty much most games known to man. It gives you details about the game, their developers, publishers, year or release and more. Another site I have used was mobygames, but I found another that seems to have a bigger database of games and that's IGDB. I think it's short for indie games database, but I'm pretty sure it lists all games instead of just indie. I had no idea it was run by twitch either. Pretty cool. Those are just the sites I use. I know there are some other wiki sites, some just wiki's of a game. But I would prefer a more in depth database for games, like how Giantbomb and IGDB does it.
  18. Uh oh, looks like someone may be in a little trouble. According to game developer Ward B, they have accused gun maker Kalashnikov of copying one of their designs for a fictional gun in their upcoming game Oceanic. They've been releasing design ideas to their twitter since 2019. Ward B actually spoke with Kalashnikov about possibly designing a gun for them based on said design. They were supposedly going to produce airsoft guns and they'd in return rebrand the gun in their game as a Kalashnikov shotgun. They even told Ward B they'd send some three guns out to them. Everything seemed to be going good, but they stopped talking to them and never sent contracts. Instead, Kalashnikov stole the idea and produced their own gun, with differences, but there seems to be enough copied over that Ward B noticed. I wonder if they can do anything about it. Kalashnikov are denying any wrongdoing. This is the gun that Ward B mocked up: And this is the gun that Kalashnikov produced: You can view more images in the article below. https://www.ign.com/articles/stolen-gun-kalashnikov-oceanic-mp-155-ultima-ward-b
  19. I sadly have not yet played with a VR headset, I really want to, but the cost of it is just out of my reach at the moment. Anyway, I was curious how you guys, those who have played with an actual VR headset, felt when using one? Like, how long can you wear it until it starts to cause you to feel sick, or have a headache or other issues? I hear some people can't handle playing VR for a long period of time, and even some VR headsets recommend taking a break after a while because it can be disorienting for some. But, what is your experience with gaming on VR for long periods of time. Do you get fatigue gaming for too long? Maybe eye strain or headaches?
  20. I believe games like RDR2 and Just Cause do weather pretty good, especially RDR2. But do you wish games had better weather effects? Maybe even implementing times where hurricanes, tornadoes, and other such events can happen in your game world? I think it'd be interesting to see a realistic game with realistic weather effects, and it affects the world around you. Tornadoes do severe damage, and you have to rebuild, hurricanes cause flooding, earthquakes can happen, etc. Idk, I think it'd be interesting to see a game utilize it's weather as a obstacle for the player. idk, what do you think?
  21. Cards against humanity is a fun game, but I am mainly looking for video game versions of it, or clones. Also, do you know of any other games similar to it, but that can also be played online? I have been getting a kick out of card games like cards against humanity, but can't get my friends to meet up, so I figure an online game would be best. I know there is a cards against humanity clone game on PC, but what are some other card games like it that are worth checking out?
  22. You mean like kicking people from your party in game? If it's someone I don't know, I will often kick them from the party. But if it's friends or family I will only kick them if they are leaving and need to make room, or they're glitching out. Unless you mean to block someone? I have had to block a lot of people. I rather not deal with drama, so whenever someone talks crap, bothers me online, etc, I usually mute and block them. It's not worth arguing with some random person on an online game.
  23. Lately it's doing a lazy job of remastering. From the Silent Hill remastered set to the recent GTA trilogy remaster, they have been doing a bad job for a while now. I think developers who want to remaster their games, should do a lot more than just a fresh coat of paint. They need to optimize these games for the time, update the problems and iron it all out. For the GTA trilogy, they clearly needed more time to develop something better. I hoped for a game that controlled like a modern game, and graphics that were close to what maybe GTA IV offered at least. Or even the newer GTA V graphics. If they want to make something the definitive edition, they need to make sure it's better than the original version.
  24. Oh shoot the image for the meme must have been removed from Facebook. This is the one it was based on, but yeah. I wish they made consoles in colors like this again. I doubt I'd be able to afford em all, but maybe down the road I'll be making fat stacks of cash and can afford to get a few different consoles.
  25. I feel like we get a lot of that with open world games these days. I mean Skyrim, just being 10 years old at this point (I think), is an exploration game. I'd argue that RDR1 and 2 are exploration games in a sense. But I get what you mean, you want games focussed on exploration only. I feel like a lot of point and click games worked in that genre. We don't see a lot of point and click games anymore. I played a demo of it growing up, but always wondered about playing the full game. I'd love to see more rhythm based games that just use a controller and require timing.
