  1. That's exactly what it is. They want you to take as much time as you can with the game, so they add these collectibles that are small, and all over the map. It made playing Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag a chore. I don't know why I chose to collect them all, but I did. Oh I hate online trophies and achievements. Because eventually those are unattainable if the servers get shut down. Some games you could revive via your own servers, but not every game will work.
  2. Oh for sure. I think a local family dollar was selling copies of the first game, but I forget. Maybe they still have some. Probably should get a copy before it's too late. I thought I had a copy of the game, but I guess not. Anyway, I can see a lot of people picking up copies of the game now. If anything, maybe it'll result in more people playing the game again.
  3. Never tried muscle hustle, but I have heard of wrestling empire. I think it has a general manager mode, so I'll have to look into it. Actually, isn't that game available on PC and Switch as well? Might get it for PC as well. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
  4. With the recent GTA Remastered Trilogy releasing by Grove Street Games (team responsible for the mobile games as well), made me remember that the Anniversary Edition of Bully came out on mobile in 2016 and it too was developed by Grove Street Games, at the time they were known as War Drum Studios. Anyway, my concern is that they will remaster Bully, but under the mobile version of the game like the GTA trilogy recently. Do you think we'll see a Bully remastered coming next? I could see it coming before RDR1 or GTA IV remastered, as I don't see those games being as easy to port to mobile. So maybe another studio will handle those remasters. But I am willing to bet that Bully will get a remaster and it'll be done by the mobile developers, and they'll just re-use the mobile version. What do you guys think though?
  5. They are, but scalpers seem to know how to cheat the system. I worked at a call center a while back, and it was for this kids product that people really loved to collect around the holiday season. They would only allow 12 products per customer, but we found multiple people getting behind that, by simply using a nearby empty address and they'll either use a different card. I found someone who was able to buy hundreds of product, all while using the same address somehow. Our system didn't catch them. But, we caught him because the guy called in, saying his package was marked delivered, but wasn't there. I did the usual, search for the order and that's how I found it. These scalpers would buy the product, and put it on ebay and amazon for double, sometimes triple the price. I was told that the company would often go on to said sites and flag the products. But a lot of people got away with it sadly. But yeah, Amazon and Ebay have started to battle them a bit. I wish they would just only allow a set price for new consoles, because they shouldn't increase in price considering they are being mass produced. So if Ebay and Amazon had a system in place that would only allow you to go up to a certain price point, then I don't see this ending anytime soon. What I recommend you do, is sign up at any store like walmart, as they will notify you when a sale is happening and you'll get dibs over others. That's my best suggestion right now, because this feels like it'll continue for months to come.
  6. Well it looks like Titanfall will be removed from digital marketplaces as Respawn is going to discontinue the sale of it completely as of today or yesterday. So this means you won't be able to purchase the game anywhere. It will be removed from Xbox and PC marketplaces. But the good news is, that the servers aren't being taken down, and anyone who already owns the game can still play it fine. My concern, is that if you can't buy it any longer, how long will the servers stay up for? Full story at the link below. https://www.windowscentral.com/respawn-discontinuing-sales-original-titanfall
  7. I honestly don't know. If you're referring to commentary about politics, life and so on, then I think the only thing that comes close is war games. But I think most games generally throw in some kind of nod to what's happening in the world. Games like Life is Strange, and Tell me Why come to mind, because they kinda bring up things happening in our world. Movies and TV to the same, in that they tie some of reality into their programming.
  8. I just watched this video of VALVE games that have some cool attention to detail in their games. From barnacles digesting food and spitting it out in Half-Life, to seagulls pooping on your car in half life 2, and more. What are some other games you found to have great attention to detail?
  9. Anyone hear of this one? It's a Space battle RTS game. I got a free code a while back and played a bit of it, and from what I played I had fun. I don't know if it's something I'd stick with for too long, but I think it's a fun game to play in short bursts. I played against some people and the games take forever, but I was able to win the game by just being patient. But then again, RTS games tend to take a while anyway. Is this something you'd be into playing? Trailer below for it.
  10. I wouldn't say I have worked with games, but I have worked with communities that do stuff with game developers and people from the game industry. I've helped stream, helped streamers, helped with showcasing a new game to a community I volunteer to and so on. I may be working more with events soon with the community I volunteer for, so I will be working close with people we have streaming for us. Other than that, that would be it for me.
  11. I don't play MMOs all that much. When I do happen to play them, I usually am with a few friends already. I don't play these type of games by myself, as I'm not one to go out and meet new people lol. Just my anxiety being annoying as usual. I'd give more MMOs a try if my friends would consider playing it too. It's why I play games like COD yet, because they will sometimes play that once in a while.
  12. They should totally release this bad boy, I'd for sure purchase it. I guess they teamed up with Razer to make a dev kit handheld system, and I guess they are allowing devs to get their hands on it only. They have no plans of mass producing this at the moment, but it sounds like this could be a trial run to see if it works well. Think this could be a direct competitor to the steam deck if it ever releases? You can read more on this beast here: https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/qualcomm-snapdragon-g3x/
  13. I recently heard that the developers of GTA Trilogy remastered utilized AI to improve on some of the graphics. This is why a lot of the billboards and signs in game have misspelled words, as the AI recreated the best outcome of the image, but it resulted in some words being misspelled or completely changed. So it got me thinking, what are some other games that utilize AI to create a portion of the world or even the story? I think it's going to happen soon, because we're already hearing about scripts and stories being created by AI, so the idea of games being made with AI, could be a possible future. I hear right now it's not so great, considering how GTA trilogy went, but it shows that it can work, you just need to go in and correct the mistakes it makes. Do you think more games will utilize AI in this way?
  14. It was delayed back in August until sometime in 2022. They say it was because of the pandemic and how PC parts were hard to come by, which makes sense. You can read more on why at the link below. https://comicyears.com/gaming/intellivision-amico-delayed-again-to-2022/ On top of this though, I guess there's been some problems with this console and some people don't, like the controllers not working properly, phone connectivity was spotty and I hear there was other issues. As well, the games on the console are a bit lacking from what I have seen, just seems to be a cheap, overpriced console with mobile games. I'm not very hopeful for this project to be honest. I have a feeling it won't come out, of if it does, it will fail miserably.
  15. Ashes of Creation is a new MMORPG that I believe is currently in early access, but has been around for a little while now. Has anyone here played it? Is it any good? I am not normally one to play MMORPGs, but some friends of mine want to get into it soon and they have asked me to get it too. But idk if I can see myself investing the time needed to play it. Here's the most recent trailer of the game.
  16. I'd have to say the majority of indie game developers, as they tend to work further on their games. Big titles tend to lose support after a few years I'd say, but with indie devs I feel like they want to keep working on their games. A lot of the big time devs out there, even the good ones, seem to make more mistakes than they should. Years ago I respected Rockstar, but in recent years they've gotten lazy and their focus became about the money rather than making games fans want. I want to like Rockstar, but their focus is on money rather than making a fun experience, and it shows with the recent GTA trilogy. But yeah, Indie devs for me, they seem to be the ones that have passion for making games people truly want to play.
  17. Blame it on the scalpers. Stores have been only given limited stock at certain times, usually random times, so that more people can sign up for the option to buy one. I think the PlayStation sites has an option to be notified of stores that have more stock. I would also check into walmart, target and other stores and see if they have an option to be notified when some are in stock. Sadly, this is going to be the future, because it seems every gaming item that releases has to be bought up by scalpers, and in turn they make it hard to find or bring the price up a ton. Even the Xbox Series X mini fridge was picked up by scalpers. It's a sad world when all the good stuff we want goes to scalpers first. 😞
  18. It was an interesting choice for Microsoft to release the Halo Infinite Multiplayer for free before the official release of the campaign. That drops December 8th I believe, but the multiplayer has been out for over a week I'd say now, and it's become hugely popular since release. So I am a bit worried that sales for Infinite's campaign will fall because of this. Do you think the campaign version will still sell good? I think they made an interesting move with this, as they potentially will recoup the money from microtransactions and all that from MP. I assume that was their master plan, because they knew the MP would be the main attraction. So the sales for the campaign version probably doesn't matter all that much to them, because they'll make bank from multiplayer if anything. What do you guys think? Will the campaign version sell bad because of this? Or will it do just fine?
  19. CD Project Red for the most part has a good track record, that was until their highly awaited games, Cyberpunk 2077 a broken and sometimes, unplayable mess was released. It has since gotten better over the year it has been out, but it is still not 100% all there. That being said, CD Projekt Red faced a lot of backlash for rushing this game to release, and rightfully so, they deserved the backlash. But, do you think they will learn from this and will not repeat this same mistake with their future games? Or, could they end up failing us again down the road?
  20. Been on the lookout for a new gaming chair for a while now. I'm currently using this old office chair I got from a thrift store a while ago, and it gets uncomfortable after sitting for too long. I tried looking through Amazon, but I am questioning the quality of chairs they offer, as a lot of the chairs they list for sale is unknown brands for the most part. So I've decided to go to the manufacturers site from now on and find chairs that way. I was thinking about getting a cheap recliner instead, but idk if that would work out so well for me.
  21. Are there any good pro wrestling games on mobile? I downloaded some pro wrestling management game recently, but couldn't get into it. I am looking for one that has all in one, a wrestling game, with a management game. One where I can run multiple shows and hire/fire wrestlers. I think that wrestling revolution 3d is on mobile, but I want something that's a bit more "quality". Any suggestions?
  22. That's the thing, there needs to be a change now rather than later. EA doesn't seem to feel bad about their many mistakes, and they keep making them. The good news is, that sales have been lacking for a while, especially with battlefield. I hope after this, they rethink their strategy. I hope 2042 doesn't sell well, because maybe then they will listen. But I honestly doubt anything will change until they get caught doing something really bad.
  23. Are there any good games like The Sims that you'd recommend checking out? Not the sim city style, but more of the actual Sims where you control a person, build a home, go to work, etc. I was thinking of picking up Sims 4 finally, but also wanted to look into other games like it. What would you say the best alternative would be to The Sims?
  24. I recently found out that there are esports teams that are starting to come out of high schools and colleges near me. I guess some schools are starting to make their own esports teams, and also have courses set up for esports. And of course I'm late to the party because I never had such things when I was in high school. I had computer maintenance and repair, not esports. 😞 But I'm pretty psyched that this is happening though, because this means that future generations will be into video games, and we may see esports grow even more. And hey, being able to play games while in school, well damn, I wish I was a kid again lol. Anyway, if I didn't deal with social anxiety, I think I would have started my own esports course in one of my local schools. I think it'd be cool to be a teacher in that field, but I doubt I'd make it considering I'm no pro gamer lol.
  25. Jump scares may have been effective in the past, but these days it's just lazy, just like hearing violin played in horror movies or massive scenes. I remember Layers of Fear being great when I first played it, but after playing it multiple times over (had to due to glitches in first two playthroughs), the jump scares lost their power. And once I realized the game was mostly about jump scares, I lost a bit of interest in the game. Don't get me wrong, I liked the story and the atmosphere, but that game was all about the jump scare and it turned me off to it. I like when a horror game is creative, has a spooky atmosphere and tries different things. idk, I guess I just feel that horror games are becoming tamer. But what do you guys think? Are jump scares a lazy scare tactic these days?
