New Harry Potter Game Will Allow Transgender Characters
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Gaming News
It's not about the genitalia, it's more about outward appearances of your character. If someone is trans, it allows them to make their character in their image. Most games don't give such options, or at least not enough options yet. It's about giving the player as many options as possible too and that's awesome. I want to be able to customize my characters anyway I see fit. Some people want to design a character that matches them. Some don't, and that's cool too. But I see no issues with games doing this more often, because it means more gamers represented. -
Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break and Control. Remedy games have made a slew of great games over the years. But what do you think they could do next? They haven't really done many sequels since Max Payne 2, but could they do a sequel to Alan Wake? Maybe even more of Control? I don't see them working on a new Quantum Break, but ya never know. I think they will create a completely new game. What do you think? Also, you can read this article here for more speculation about what they could be doing next - GameIndustryBiz

An article by NBC News talks about a gaming grandma. Michelle Statham, is a 56 year old grandma who wrecks people in games like She even goes as TacticalGramma online, and seems to be popular among fans. She streams on Twitch and Facebook, and has kind of blown up because of TikTok. Her game of choice, is Call of Duty Warzone. I'm hoping I am still gaming until I get old. I think it's going to be fun seeing all these old timers streaming in the next 10-20 years or so. lol. Also, I am for sure jealous of her gaming setup. 😄

According to mp1st, Sony's PlayStation London Studio is working on something that has huge potential. What that is, is currently unknown, but they have history of working with VR titles, so it's likely whatever they're making is in VR. OOoh, how cool would it be if it's like God of War VR. lol I doubt that, but it'd be cool. What do you think they are working on?

Do you create your own servers for games? As in a server you can host your own world/map/game etc. I hate playing on public servers, so I tend to delve into private ones. But, I would rather make my own servers for these games. Any tips on how to actually get started with this?

What are some of the best games available for the PSVita? I might be picking up a vita from Facebook marketplace, and I was wondering what games I should be on the lookout for when I finally get it? What would you say are the best games?

I would never waste money on it. If I saw it out in the wild for cheap, maybe then. But yeah, I remember it coming out in Japan only. Would have been cool if it took off and came to the states though. Wonder how much life it would have gotten out of the N64.

I never used Teamspeak, but a few events I was a part of, the people we played with, wanted us to all use teamspeak and we were more into using Discord.

And it seems like they're going up in prices too. Last time I saw it was like $150, and now they're starting to go up in price like $160+. I could buy their capture card for PC, but even that is pricey. But, I suppose streaming from my PC will have to do.

That is an interesting point. I think most of the newer games had clothed characters, but I could be wrong.

You are correct. The DLC for most games will only work in the country the game originated from. So if you bought an import game from Japan, the only way to get the DLC for it, is to somehow convert your console to work in Japan. That's one risk you take when it comes to import games. You can still play them on your console, just can't play the DLCs for it. And US DLC won't work with it either.

lol I'll keep that in mind. I got enough cement blocks, so I'd be covered there. 🙂 You want to make a handheld version? I want to make an actual arcade cabinet that matches the size of traditional cabinets. I think that would be cool. and would look cool too. 🙂

Yeah, currently it's pretty small. I think you can only select between a few fighters at the moment too. The ones that weren't selected in the video, are currently not playable, or so I've heard. I hear more is being added to it though, as it is still early access I believe.

Some places will take returns, but most people don't bother as the cost to ship back is way too high, so you're probably better off keeping whatever games you import. Fair, but whenever I look at importing anything, I don't usually intend to send it back. Even if it happens to not be what I'm looking for, I am stuck with it. I wouldn't dare ship an item back overseas, as it's just too much of a hassle and costs way too much. It's kind of the gamble you take when you buy anything overseas, as if it's broken, it's probably best to just move on.

You make a lot of great poins. I feel the same way in regards to humble bundle in general. I've purchased a few myself, but I can't ever see myself subscribing to their choice service, because I feel like I would have too much to play and no time to play them all. So for me, it'd probably be pointless. But, I have used codes from humble bundle for giveaways, so that's another option you could use it for if you want. 🙂

And on top of that, the newer movie is pretty bad. I would understand if it was based around the first movie, but even so, I can't see this franchise working as a game. It's got the zombies and all that, but I don't feel it works in video game form. As for movie tie-ins. idk, I feel like they're becoming less and less these days. Most of the movie based games I'm aware of these days, happen to be cheap/free mobile apps.

I've been wanting to pick up one of those Elgato streaming boxes to stream console based games, but it's like $150 and I can't be bothered. Plus I figure I could just stream my PC gameplays and just forget about consoles for now. Are there any alternatives to the Elgato devices?

This is probably old news by now, but the new Harry Potter game that is coming out, called Hogwarts Legacy will allow you to customize your voice, body type, gender placement etc. I'm all for this. I welcome more games where you can customize every detail about your character. It's why I wanted options like this in RDR2 and even Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk has those types of options, but it's very limited. I always try to make myself in game, so a fat dude with a beard. But most games I see don't give me such an option. It's usually skinny or semi chubby characters. A character creator like what all those wrestling games have, would be huge in most games today I think. And adding the ability to make your character any way you want, is cool. More games need to do this I think. What do you think? You can also read about this news here - Bloomberg

Looks like we're getting a new Zombieland game, this time in VR and it kind of looks fun. I couldn't stand the most recent movie, so here's hoping this game is at least fun to play. From the trailer it does look kind of fun, but kind of looks more like a mobile game to me. What do you think though?

For those who are unaware, Starlink is a new internet provider that is made by Elon Musk and team at SpaceX. It will utilize a ton of satellites that they plan to put up in space, which is supposed to give you the ability to get internet pretty much everywhere. This means areas with no internet, could have some form of internet. Now, I saw a video on Starlink by Linus Tech Tips, and he said you can stream 4k content and play games, but it's not the best experience. But that's not the point, it will give people all over the world a stable connection. Anyway, this brings me to the game streaming platforms, like Amazon Luna and Google Stadia. There are others, but these two seem to get the most coverage right now. Anyway, do you think these services could work with Starlink? I'm going to guess no, because of the way game streaming runs, it needs a constant stable connection, and with Starlink I don't think you will get that. You can play games, but it isn't perfect, so I can only imagine it being even worse on starlink. But, who knows, maybe Starlink will get so good, that streaming games would be no problem. But what do you guys think?

Neil Druckmann voiced his opinion recently about people asking for updates on future projects. But, while saying so, he mentioned there is several cool things that they can't wait to share. I don't see it being a new Last of Us yet, but maybe they're going to bring back Jak & Daxter. I would love to see that happen. What do you think they have cooking?

This game looks like a lot of fun. Supposedly it's a sword fighting game, that uses real methods to fight/defend with a sword or other blades. I believe it's in early access right now, but it looks pretty tough to get the hang of.

Here is a video of 7 terrible video games that we should play or check out. Did any games you like make the list? Would you play any of these games? I know of Big Rigs, but I don't think I'd ever play it lol. They even say a sequel is in the works lol. The only other I know on this list is God Hand. God Hand looks like a lot of fun though. Probably rare and crazy expensive.

So I heard there was a Deadpool game that came out years ago, sometime before the movies with Ryan Reynolds came to be. I never played the Deadpool game that came out on 360/ps3 and then was remastered for last gen consoles. Is it worth checking out? And is it as good as the comic books and the movies? I know Nolan North even did the voice acting. Do you guys think it's worth picking up?

Has anyone here subbed to the Humble Bundle Choice service? I think it gets you a slew of games you can get each month. I checked their plans, and they have three. The first one is the trove access, and I think it gets you a list of games in that area for $4.99 a month. The Basic plan gets you 3 games a month for $14.99 and the premium plan nets you 12 games (original 9 for $19.99) for a total of $12 a month. Not a bad deal. But does anyone here sub to this service? Is it worth it?
