  1. Yeah, they have no plans of selling their properties at the moment, at least not yet. I think theyir main intention is to just find studios that can outsource their work to. Konami could easily be a publisher if they want to, and get a few studios under their belt to produce something. And who knows, they could work with Sony for all we know and make exclusives there. I doubt they'd work with any Xbox properties or Nintendo. But I can see them working with Sony.
  2. Hmm, not sure. I know of The Sims and their language, but I'm unsure of any others. Many shows, movies and books have their own languages based on the stories of course. I know game of thrones has many different languages. Didn't Fable have made up language as well?
  3. Yup, I'm aware of the Street Fighter movie game. I've seen a few videos of it. Surprisingly it's not a bad game from what I hear, as like you said, it's just Street fighter 2 with the movie characters instead. 😄
  4. My brother mostly plays GTA online. Last time I played online, was probably a year or two ago by now. Most of my friends don't play GTA anymore either.
  5. I have tried my hand at it, but haven't done it in a while. I'm thinking of starting to stream soon, because I have all the equipment to get started. I just need to push myself to do it. Most streamings try to get 2-5 hours a day in. Some streamers don't have other jobs, so they can devote more time to streaming.
  6. What are some of the gaming studios you wish to come back? Maybe it was a studio that was sold off and changed to a different name, or a studio that had to close down due to financial issues. The biggest loss imo, was when THQ died out and sold off their IPs. The THQ we know now isn't the same as the original crew. Oh and lets not forget Atari, which has gone through so many new owners, it's essentially not even Atari anymore. Just in name. What are some studios you loved, that sadly closed shop?
  7. We haven't seen a boxing game in recent years, at least I haven't. The last game I remember was one of the Fight Night games by EA, and they haven't made a game in that series in years. It seems as if their focus is on the UFC games now, which is sad, because they made some really great Boxing games. Do you think we'll ever see a new boxing game? I would even count a new Punch Out, as we haven't had a game in the series for a while now.
  8. Does anyone remember this game? It came out in 1997 and I remember thinking this game would be awesome. But, when I finally played it, I realized this game was not good lol. This game is notorious as being one of the worst games ever, and most likely the worst MK game ever. It's not a traditional MK game though, as it's more a side-scrolling beat-em-up that is not good at doing anything. I remember renting an N64 and this game, and I can say, I went back to that rental store and rented another game lol. The game has some of the worst gameplay, and some bad voice acting. But, it had some fun cutscenes from what I hear. Here's a good video about the game:
  9. Yeah I heard about that. I'm glad someone is stepping up to take action. I hear the sites selling the consoles are working on ways of stopping it, and I think the US is starting to take notice as well. But, who knows how long the US will take to do something. Oh I believe it. When you get into a business like that, you're bound to get some death threats. Especially now when they're getting so ballsy as to come out and complain about how 'they're' treated. I don't think they deserve death threats, but they should realize this is going to happen when you take away so many peoples chances of getting that hot new toy. That's the thing though, they know exactly what they're doing and they don't care. It's just now that they're starting to hurt because business aint booming like it used to, they have to come out and complain that they do nothing wrong. Yet, they don't realize doing this makes them look like complete buffoons, because they know their business is done for soon enough.
  10. I've never played Diablo, but I hear the second one is a fan favorite. As with this remake/remaster, I think it's supposed to be faithful to the original game, just has updated graphics and some fixes I think. I might check it out, but I'll wait for a sale first. 😄
  11. What are you talking about? I don't understand how this fits the subject at all. 😕 Oh yeah, lunch time for me I would sometimes go to the computer lab and play a game real quick. We didn't get that much time though, but it was enough. I mostly played in the gym during my lunch time though. I doubt you would even be able to use a VPN on a school computer anyway. For my school, those types of sites would have been blocked.
  12. I joined during the Inception movie night they did this past summer I think it was. Wasn't anything spectacular, but it gives people more options I suppose. Also, I forgot to mention, but this movie fest is expected to get possibly around 350 million in the audience. That is according to the Indie Wire link I posted in my first post.
  13. I'm looking for one without an indicator light, or a light that turns off when the Xbox is also turned off. Because the last hub I used, the light would stay on, and it bugged me since it's in my room. I also don't like that it's getting power while the console is turned off. I just want a USB hub that's more discreet if that makes sense?
  14. I want to get a USB hub for my Xbox One, as the only accessible USB I have is on the left, and I'm not going to move my Xbox around to get to the back one. Anyway, do you guys know of any good USB hubs? I don't need anything with too many USB slots, but maybe 4 at least. Also, any chance of one where the LED light isn't too much of a bother? The one I use now for my PC has a light on it when it's connected. I wish once I turn something off, it also turns that off. Maybe one with an off switch?
  15. Interesting, first the Goldeneye 007 remake was released, and now a playable version of Dinosaur Planet by Rare has be leaked online. I am tempted to look for it, and give it a try. I'm liking that people are starting to release these unreleased games, because it sucks to see they were near completion and never saw the light of day. Also, it's nice that we can save this content from being lost to time. Because I'm sure there's been countless finished games that were ready to come out, and never did because of reasons. Has anyone tried the game? You can read more about this here - IGN
  16. Right now, you can watch a short film festival in Fortnite, today and tomorrow. It's currently live now, so jumping into Fortnite should get you into the event. I am not much for fortnite, but I am genuinely interested in checking this out. I guess it's also a 24 hour event, so I'm guessing from today at 2PM EST to 2PM EST tomorrow. You can read more about it here - Indie Wire And you can also find out more details about the event at the epic page here - https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/news/gather-for-the-short-nite-film-festival-watch-film-shorts-in-fortnites-party-royale
  17. So this is good news, especially after EA purchased Codemasters recently. Codemasters will remain as an independent group. From the sounds of it, they will be free to continue like nothing has changed. Of course they will probably be tasked to start something for EA, so we shall see how that turns out. This was EAs idea as well, and they seem cool with it. I hope this means this team can work on whatever they want without fear of getting reprimanded for not making a release date. but, we shall see, because it could end up turning out bad. With EA, you never know. You can read about this here - IGN
  18. You know those little buttons you can put on top of analog sticks? They're meant to help with better precision and such. I have been thinking of trying them out, but am not sure I want to pay $10 plus for a couple pieces of rubber or plastic. Are they really worth it? Do they actually help with the controls? For those wondering, I'm talking about these things.
  19. That's the thing though. This is how GTA V came to be. They implemented an online mode after the single player came out. I have a feeling they won't be releasing any story DLC for future games. Rockstar I think is focussed on single player first and then implementing online to keep the game going.
  20. I finished up Donut Country last night. Pretty fun game, but the achievements don't work on PC. 😞 Oh well, still a really fun game.
  21. I'm hearing that Konami wants to outsource their games to different developers. So it may be more true than I expected. Right now, we don't know who will be taking over Silent Hill, but it's possible they may be hiring another crew to take it over.
  22. I think you guys confused the topic. It's about the word "boss" or "bosses", But why do we call it the final boss? Because if you think about it, it doesn't really make any sense to call them bosses. What is a boss? When I hear boss in game now, I think of an employer instead of an enemy. I can blame that on the article for pointing it out, because I never thought much about it.
  23. I would totally play games on an airplane. I think more airports will start to implement those options. Imagine playing VR in an airplane, would really heighten the experience I think.
  24. I never thought of this before, but an article from Kotaku brought up an interesting discussion about why we say "boss" instead of enemy. Do you find it weird that we say "Boss" battle, or the final "Boss"? But why do we call it the boss anyway? Is it a tie-in to how we hate work and our bosses? Or did we somewhere just pick "boss" and it stuck? Anyway, the article and podcast discusses how the boss term came to be, and what games they first remember hearing the term boss being used. Do you remember any games that may have started it?
  25. Remember Mirror's Edge? It got a remake/reboot a while back, but it was pretty much forgotten pretty fast for how much worse it was than the original game. I remember playing the first game via demo and loving how stunning the graphics looked, and how cool it was to move around so fast. Anyway, why is it that we haven't seen many other games like Mirror's Edge? We've had a few like Dying Light, where it was a mix of parkour and zombie survival. But, I can't think of anything similar to it in recent memory. Is there anything like Mirror's Edge today?
