  1. Looks like Pokemon is getting the breath of the wild treatment, as this looks to be very similar to it, but in the world of Pokemon. I'm not a big fan of Pokemon, but I understand it's popularity and fandom. Anyway, this looks like something I would even play. Check the recent trailer out below.
  2. Amazon Luna is already feeling like a better service than Stadia lol. A friend of mine got early access into Luna and it's mostly going smooth for him. He has even streamed a bit while using Luna. But, I think streaming a service like that is probably not a good idea. But yeah, the more services like this that come out, the more challenges it'll be for Stadia and any other streaming game platform.
  3. I remember when Facebook had mostly games like Farmville. Everything back then, reminds me of mobile games today. Does that make sense?
  4. Eh, I have to disagree, as this game never really took off. If anything, it was pretty much dead on arrival. The userbase pretty much dropped the game soon after release. There are some devoted fans, but most people dropped out of the game soon after they finished it. Cyberpunk 2077 is far from a flop though. It didn't live up to the hype though, but I wouldn't say it was a flop, considering they still made a shit ton on the game, even with all the problems.

    The Saboteur

It was a game I played a bit back when it originally came out. It wasn't a huge hit, and sadly never got a sequel. I don't think it sold that well either. I rented it back then because I was into the Assassin's Creed series, and this game reminded me a lot about it. Especially when you did the outpost sections, as you had to raise a flag and take out everyone in the area sometimes. Oh, and I remember when the game came out, there was an a code you needed to show nudity in game. No joke. There was a code that originally came with the game to unlock nudity. If people didn't have the code, they'd have to pay for it lol. Always thought that was weird.
  6. Yeah I guess it only works for the Xbox version. Oh well. Still a fun game I've been playing Retromania Wrestling on Steam. It's crazy tough when you start, but once you get the hang of it, it starts to get a bit easier. But it could do with a better tutorial.
  7. Does anyone here use facebook games? Do you happen to play anything on Facebook's marketplace? I mainly play stuff like pool, but even that I don't frequently play anymore. Are there even any good games on Facebook worth checking out? I'm always willing to give a platform a try, but I never really pictured Facebook much for gaming. But ever since they bought up oculus, I figure they might have started to support actual games. Do you know of any games worth checking out through Facebook these days?
  8. Xbox's Game Pass Ultimate is a great deal. For only $15, you can get games from the PC and Xbox side. But, wouldn't it be a nice added bonus if they released other media? Like maybe movies and tv shows? I doubt it would ever happen, but I could see if being their own way to get into the movie/tv streaming game. I mean, it's possible that at one point, we may see other options in our game pass, and who knows, Microsoft might even change it later on if they decide to include movies and tv. I doubt music would be added, but that would be a killer bonus if all of that was included. Hell, I'd pay $20 a month for all of that to be honest. But, what do you think? Could something like this even work?
  9. His most recent game, Death Stranding was somewhat popular I'd say, but I don't think it ever came close to a Metal Gear Solid. But, it's just the beginning for him. With that being said, what do you think he has in store for us next? A sequel to Death Stranding? A whole new IP? Maybe an already established property? There was rumors a while back that Kojima was back involved with Silent Hill, but those were just rumors. It's possible Konami and Kojima have come together and put the differences aside. But I have my doubts on that. Anyway, what do you guys think is next for Kojima?
  10. Remember the movie The King of Kong? It was a documentary about two guys who were fighting for the record in Donkey Kong and some other retro arcade games from the 80s. The documentary revolves around the dude who had the #1 record and the guy who's trying to get it and was able to for a while. I forget what their names are, but a google search will get you those details. Anyway, this topic is not about that. It's about whether or not you've ever broken a world record in a popular retro game, maybe an arcade game or even on other consoles and devices. I sadly have not broken any records, but I remember feeling proud of myself for breaking a few records at a forum one time lol. But that doesn't even come close.
  11. Anyone remember this game? It is kind of a hidden gem. I remember when it came out on the 360 (ps3 and PC I think) and it was essentially you taking out nazis, but you could climb buildings, use stealth and or go in guns ablazing. When you play, you'll notice the world is dark and grey, but as you overtake nazi outposts and such, you start to see color in the world. Anyway, I remember it was similar to Assassin's Creed, at least with how you can climb. In fact, I liked the climbing in this game more than AC to be honest. Sadly, this was one game I rented and never played after. I was thinking about picking it up recently, but idk if I'd be into re-playing it again.
  12. Idk though, sports as a whole has sort of lost popularity in recent years. The NFL for example had low ratings before covid-19 happened. I believe it's because of all the rule changes and overall changes to the game. I think fans are expecting that hard hitting football again, and that's going to change. I think with games, they're more accessible, if that makes sense. And I think people get into watching them more than some sports. I know I'd rather watch a game stream than some baseball, but that's just me.
  13. Yeah I heard that too a bit about the RetroN consoles. For the most part they do emulate the games fairly well, but have problems of their own. I know the Analogue consoles are well made, and I think some even use actual hardware from recycled consoles. Top loader is considered the better option for sure, as it didn't suffer the problems the original NES had with dust and all that. There are a couple other devices that are made with real hardware and are modded to use HDMI. I like those a lot, since they still use the same hardware, they're just upgraded to work on an HDTV. It's a good way to see what the game could have looked like had HDTVs been a thing back then. I know the N64 has an HD mod out there and other consoles are starting to come out with some.
  14. I got a couple copies of MGS1 from a trading site in the past. I got the original edition, but just the discs and I have the greatest hits edition that I think has everything. Can't believe I forgot about that one.
  15. Oh yeah, I remember that was their initial plan. Sucks that they weren't able to figure out how to make it work. But oh well. I think they tried a similar approach to the Shaolin Monks game if I'm not mistaken?
  16. Assassin's Creed III's final boss was a joke. Spoiler below. When you finally deal with your father at the end of the game, it's a lazy chase mission in a burning building if I remember correctly. And once you catch up to him, you get a cutscene and then the end of the game. So you don't get to take him out from what I remember. I think you leave him there to die or something
  17. Have you ever had to purchase a game multiple times? As in maybe you had to buy a second copy because the first copy broke, or you lost your first copy and had to buy a replacement. Maybe you sold it, and decided to buy another copy of the game later on. I've done this a few times before. COD 4 I had to replace once, because the original disc started to crack (I played it a lot) and had to get another copy. One of my copies of splinter cell I had went bad as well and I had to get that replaced. But for the most part, I haven't had to replace many games. What about you though?
  18. Hey guys, do you know of any new consoles made to play retro carts? I'm aware of Analogue, who has produced other consoles for retro games, but I think their consoles are expensive. I also know of the RetroN brand of consoles. In fact, I got my sister and brother-in-law a RetroN 2 I think it was, as it had SNES and NES games as options I think. I think the RetroN 5 is the one to go for, as it plays NES, SNES, genesis, Gameboy, etc. What are some other consoles made today that play retro carts?
  19. Have you ever tried to build a PC by buying PC parts through Wish? I've seen countless videos on YouTube about people trying exactly that. Some with good results, some with bad, but for the most part it seems like it's possible. Anyway, would you ever build a PC through wish or maybe aliexpress or other similar sites? Here's a video of Linus trying to build a PC from Wish. He also has videos from buying parts from Ebay, Amazon and other sites to build PCs. It's weird, Amazon is full of junk that you could get on Wish as well.
  20. I hope this is like the Hot Wheels game I remember back on the N64 I think it was. The trailer doesn't show a whole lot, but from the looks of it, it will take place on hot wheels tracks in real life like environments. So that should be fun. I just hope we can do the occasional flip and spin. I just hope it turns out to be good, because I wouldn't mind a good Hot Wheels game again.
  21. Has anyone here heard of this game yet? I think it was announced during Nintendo's recent showing during Nintendo Direct. Anyway, it's essentially a dodgeball game, battle royale of sorts. All I know, is that it looks like it will be a lot of fun to play. You can check out the trailer below. It will also have crossplay and looks to be dropping on pretty much every platform too. 🙂
  22. Sure. I had that feeling with the Just Cause games. I started with 2, and played all the way through the series, but I never paid full price on any of them. I usually got them from Xbox live or during sales. I never felt like the games were worth $60. Mainly because they didn't do a whole lot to change the formula for each new game.
  23. That's a tough one, since I know that a lot of japanese games are what we would call classics today. Like Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic The Hedgehog, etc. So there's a lot from Japan that we have gotten to enjoy. For retro and classic games, I would say Japan. But for current stuff, there are a lot of games out there, produced all over the world, so it's really hard to say western or eastern, because the gaming industry is a mixing pot of people with different religions, ideas and so on. I think all sides make quality games, so I don't think I can really pick one or the other.
  24. I mean, it could be. I'm sure there are still some team members there, as they also did the Outer Worlds game, which was heavily inspired by Fallout New Vegas, it was essentially their new Fallout. So their skills and ideas are still there. Now that MS owns both Obsidian and Bethesda, they could probably team up for a new Fallout game even.
  25. Nope, but that's ok, as I haven't attempted to buy either new console yet. I tend to wait a year or more before I purchase a new console, as well I'm by no means flush with cash, so it's easier said than done. But soon I hope. I'm in no rush.
