  1. Last 2D game I remember played was one of those Castlevania clones, or it may have been by the guy who made the original game. I forget though. I think it was like Blood Stained: Ritual of the night? maybe, idk. I remember it being a decent game. I'd argue that there's much more to art than it just being art though. I mean, art can entertain, educate as well as provide people with insights into ones mind and ideas, as well as our history. I feel like art can be found in just about anything. But, to each their own.
  2. lol, hearing dubstep again is interesting. I remember seeing the trailer for this back then and was super psyched for this, but after looking at reviews and hearing the public opinion on it, I never bothered to check it out. Maybe it's worth checking out now. Figure I could find it pretty cheap somewhere.
  3. To be honest, I think it's kind of even. Considering the popularity of the recent Spider-Man games, and the Arkham series, it seems as if they're equal in many ways. Personally I'm for Batman games, because I'm a Batman fanboy, but I like me some Spider-Man too. I feel like I had more history with Batman games as well. I have played a few Spider-Man games, but none at the level of Arkham or the original NES game yet. Of course I haven't touched the new Spider-Man games, but I'm going to assume they're really good games. 😄
  4. Survival is fine, but I can't get into any where I can't defend myself. I don't like that the only option is to run away and hide and wait for an opening. That's why I could never get into the Outlast series. I prefer a psychological twist, or premise. I just feel it works so much better in a horror game.
  5. Most played game of all time for me, would probably be Call of Duty 4. Though, my brother and I played it, we amassed over 100,000 kills (we stuck with it after World at war came out) and had well over a month or so in playtime. Games that may come close to that, probably WWE Smackdown Here comes the pain, SMB3, Super Mario world, Black Ops, and a few others.
  6. lol nice! I was oddly enough, thinking about Beavis & Butthead when I posted. Weird. lol But yeah, a nice selection of games. I saw a video of the Family Guy game, and it looks like a ton of fun, like Family Guy when it first became popular. 🙂
  7. With the recent blunders by triple A studios these past 5-10 years or so has got me thinking. When are the triple A studios going to start losing out to the much smaller indie games and studios? I ask, because I feel that the gaming community is tired of all the scandals, the mishaps and the poor releases of recent memory, that games are going to start pushing for more rules with these bigger studios. I think people see these big studios like Activision, Ubisoft, EA, etc and they are tired of the same stuff released yearly. Especially when there are so many great games from smaller studios gaining popularity. Soon enough, I can see these smaller studios, gaining more traction. Of course, that also worries me, because who knows if those small studios grow up to be one of those triple A studios. Look at CD Project Red, weren't they a small studio, and then Witcher 3 came along and they blew up in popularity. What do you think though?
  8. Oftentimes I find early access to be a lot cheaper then waiting for the full release, but the problem there, is that you're stuck with this game until updates are made. And there's a chance you could play the full game, and lose your save at some point, or you get stuck on game breaking glitch and have to restart *cough* Layers of fear *cough*. So, I've decided to never get an early access game, or buy into it right away. I've been screwed over too many times with early access releases, so I'm going to wait until full release for future games from now on. But what is your preference? Are you cool paying less to get a half finished game? I understand the point is to help development and such, and that's totally cool. But for me, I want to be able to play the game when I buy it, so if it's not finished, I'll simply skip early access and just wait.
  9. Has anyone heard of Resident Evil Re:Verse? It's supposedly coming out for free with RE Village, but I do wonder if this game will be released outside of the Village release. Essentially, it's like a multiplayer game where you face off against characters from RE history. I don't know if it's something I'd get, but I'm sure some people are into it.

    Erzurum

This game looks appealing. It's supposed to be a survival game that takes place in the winter. I'm kind of played out on the survival stuff, but this looks interesting to me. Check out the trailer below, but it sadly doesn't show a whole lot. But, I love winter settings in games, so I'm interested in checking it out.
  11. This may be old news for some, but it seems that Activision is being sued by a couple people for their likenesses being used in characters from Modern Warfare. A photographer is suing Activision for using her likeness for the character Mara, and it's pretty close, but I don't know if the woman has a case in regards to it, as they could have taken inspiration, but I don't think she has a claim to soldier woman. But who knows. Check that story out here - https://www.dbltap.com/posts/photographer-sues-activision-over-allegedly-copied-call-of-duty-character-01expyct3f7a But, that's not all, as the pro wrestler Booker T is suing Activision for the same game, this time for the likeness of David ‘Prophet’ Wilkes who strikes a similar look to Booker T's gimmick of G.I. Bro from back in the 2000s. Anyway, it's very similar and it seems he has a case, as it's going to court. You can read about that news here - https://www.ringsidenews.com/2021/02/06/booker-ts-lawsuit-with-activision-over-call-of-duty-is-going-to-court/ Do you think either has a case? Will Activision be forced to pay up?
  12. When did you realize that video games were important to you? I have played games my whole life, and I feel that they became important to me around my middle school years. It's when I wanted to become a game tester and then quickly changed my mind. But it's more than that. Gaming is my escape from reality. But it can also be a way to spend time with family and friends. But, when did you first realize that gaming was an important part of your life? Where it became apparent that you would never stop gaming? For me, I think that time came with SMB3, and then again with the likes of Vice City, Call of Duty 4 and so on. What about you?
  13. There's been a lot of esporting events over the years, but what event paid out the most to the top winner(s)? I know some events have prices of thousands, some to the hundreds of thousands, and even one or two for millions of dollars. I'm not pro enough for that. But that's besides the point, because this topic is about the most won. Who won the biggest payout so far in esports history?
  14. I just read this article titled - Disney Properties That Would Make Good Video Games from Screen Rant about how Disney has so many properties that they could make into games if they ever wanted to. From Marvel, Star Wars, and of course their Disney programming. Plus Fox is in there too. Out of that bunch, what do you want to see them do next in game form? Obviously some more Star Wars, but please, not from EA or even Ubisoft. I wouldn't mind another Punisher game. I was going to say Venom, but that's owned by Sony unfortunately. What do you guys think? What characters/shows/movies, etc from Disney's catalog, should get their own game?

    PC Museums

Do you guys know of any PC Museums worth checking out? I have a fasination with old PCs, and watch a lot of LGR and other type of retro tech shows. I just like learning about the stuff. Anyway, I imagine there are a good deal of PC museums out there. Do you guys know of any that you may have visited? I think it'd be cool to start my own museum, and just have a bunch of old working PCs on display and ready to use. I can see a lot of tech enthusiasts trying that.
  16. Lol, this is kind of a random one, but I'm sure there are a fair share of games made for stoners, or pot heads out there. People who enjoy cannabis for example. Anyway, I remember the first game I saw that ever featured cannabis. It was back when I was a teen and was babysitting a neighbors kid, they allowed me to play on their PC while I babysat, and I remember finding their facebook up with a game where you could grow weed. With that being said, are there any cannabis themed games that you can actually buy out there? Are there any that are actually fun? I never played anything relating to pot, but there's got to be some random games out there that have some mentions of it or is the focus of the game. I can't imagine it being a lot though, but there's got to be some games out there worth checking out. What do you guys think?

    Games on Linux

Yeah, Linux is becoming an option for gamers. And, for those games not yet supported, people have found workarounds that can get them to work. I forget the site, but there is a site that makes it possible to play some non-linux supported games. And of course, you can try wine or playOnLinux. I mostly game on Windows, but Linux is becoming more and more of a viable option.
  18. The prototype 2 game I think it was. Actually I think I 100% the first and second. Not hard games to 100% though, so nothing special. As for others, I'm drawing a blank. I think I got 100% in the Turing Test, and a few other games, but I don't remember which ones they were.
  19. Depends on the game and mission. Sometimes a time mission is no issue to me. But, there has been times where a time mission is just too much for me to handle. I hate when a timer is so strict, and barely gives you enough time. Like with the Driver games, I didn't mind them, because the driving was fun and intense with the challenge. Sadly I think it's also why I can't stand timers in games anymore, because I did hate it for a while in Driver.
  20. The thing with steam sales, is that we often buy stuff on the cheap thinking we'll play it, but in reality we never do. I love humble bundles for the reason of finding a hidden gem, but oftentimes, I don't really play many of the games they include. Some I just give away and some I redeem to never play. But, there's always a chance I may want something new, and will go back to my steam library or any library of games I have, and pick something I haven't played yet.
  21. You're better off just getting a used 360 than getting it repaired. I see them all over facebook and shop sites for really cheap. If you had the original 360, maybe it's time to upgrade to the slim model.
  22. Depends on the story. If there's no story, a voiced character doesn't really matter to me. But, if it's a big story, I want my protagonist to have some personality and speak.

    Stuffed

Has anyone here heard of this game? I've been seeing it on ads lately all over facebook, and I am genuinely interested in checking it out. From what I see, it looks like a FPS with stuffed animals. Kind of cute and fun. I couldn't find a trailer for it, but you can check it out on steam below. The demo is available for download, I might try it out tonight. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1243200/STUFFED/
  24. What are some of the best games with character creators and or customization? I always like the WWE games for their customization, you could pretty much do about anything. I wish more games had more freedom in making your characters. For me, it's that most games with customization don't allow you to do much with weight, beards, or I shall say, don't give you enough options. And then these new games come out with barely any customization because they expect us to buy it all eventually with micro-transactions. Anyway, what would you say is the game with the best character creator/customization tools?
  25. In a now removed video interview with Akira Yamaoka (past composer for the Silent Hill series), he mentioned he was working on something that will be announced in the summer, and that it's something people are looking forward to. Many speculate that it could be a new Silent Hill from Konami. What do you think they'll have planned for the new game if that's so? You can also read about this here - VG247
