Of course they did. Remember the news of the Xbox 360 Goldeneye 007 remake? Well, the reason why it never came to be, was because Nintendo said no, that they weren't putting a Nintendo game on a Microsoft console. You can read all about it here - Nintendo Link Seems pretty odd considering Perfect Dark and other Nintendo games are on Xbox consoles because of their purchase of Rare. I also didn't think Nintendo holds any rights to the 007 Goldeneye name. But I could be wrong.

I want a life size figure. I saw one of those Solid Snake statues online years ago. I wish I had the money to buy something like that, or even have one made.

They cancelled the one in 2020, but this will be E3s first attempt at a virtual event. I really think this is our future. I think it's going to be too big of a risk even with the vaccine out, so I think people will just move on to virtual for the time being.

Do you still have any retro game stores in your area?

I don't know. If it sells retro hardware and devices, I think we can count it. 🙂 -
What do you think about Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven?
Kane99 replied to Tool920's topic in Gaming Forum
It's a great game, but I would't go as far to say it's one of the best games. The game hasn't aged well especially with the really outdated controls. Even back then I hated the controls. I played the PS2 though, so it may have been different on the PC. I know it looked a lot better on PC. The story and setting was great, but I just don't see it being in a top 10 list, or even a top 20 list. I could see it in a top 100 or so. That's just how I feel. -
Limbo was great, but I gave up after one section I couldn't get past. And I tried forever. I just got annoyed and quit from there. I should give it another try soon.

Looks like the E3 expo will be taking place this year, but this time in virtual form due to the pandemic. Last year they had to cancel the 2020 E3 event, and it was looking like a physical event was a no go for this year too, but thankfully they are deciding to go the virtual route like everyone else. Thing is, they still need to get studios and publishers to show up, and who knows if they will. You can read more about this news here - VGC

With the recent news about Gamestop stock blowing up, and then falling right back down, it got me thinking. What video games or gaming companies would you actually invest in if you could? I obviously wouldn't put money in Gamestop anytime, soon, but I'm sure there are some studios, publishers and even games that have stocks worth investing in. I don't have the knowledge of stocks, so I doubt I'd ever try to invest.

We all knew Grand Theft Auto V broke records during its initial release, but it's continuing to make that record even harder to obtain, as they have sold over 140 millions units of GTA V, that is an impressive number right there. As well, the article states RDR2 sold 36 millions units, which is no small number either. Rockstar is pulling in the cash big time and with a new version of GTA V coming for PS5 and the new Xbox, do you think it could eventually break 200 million units? Still, Minecraft has sold over 200million, so it's going to be hard to catch up, but it's possible. Read more about this news here - Twinfinite

Has anyone here broken any records in Super Mario Maker 1 and 2? I've only played a few times, and sadly have no records to show for myself yet. But, what about you guys? Ever break any tough records? If so, which records did you break and how long did it take you?

Do you guys think the Switch is the best Nintendo Console yet? According to VGCulture HQ it is. Do you agree? I get why someone would say it, as the Switch has brought back Nintendo from it's past generations. The Wii U was a failure, but the Switch helped Nintendo rebound big time. Anyway, I think the only problem I see with the switch is joycon drift and the small buttons (for me personally). But other than that, I do agree that Nintendo may have found their best console yet with the Switch.

Yikes, what if it's all set up by CDPR to get some sympathy from fans? It could all be a PR stunt to take peoples minds off of their past blunders. But who knows, this whole thing is an utter mess.

Any source on this? Because there's been no official announcement or rumors about a sequel. The only thing I am aware of, is the story DLC for the game Control that is featuring Alan Wake. I wouldn't qualify that as a sequel though. Though, I am very hopeful a sequel will come.

I almost got my uncle to play a game once, I think it was call of duty. He thought it was cool how real it looked, but he didn't want to try it out.

Last 2D game I remember played was one of those Castlevania clones, or it may have been by the guy who made the original game. I forget though. I think it was like Blood Stained: Ritual of the night? maybe, idk. I remember it being a decent game. I'd argue that there's much more to art than it just being art though. I mean, art can entertain, educate as well as provide people with insights into ones mind and ideas, as well as our history. I feel like art can be found in just about anything. But, to each their own.

lol, hearing dubstep again is interesting. I remember seeing the trailer for this back then and was super psyched for this, but after looking at reviews and hearing the public opinion on it, I never bothered to check it out. Maybe it's worth checking out now. Figure I could find it pretty cheap somewhere.

To be honest, I think it's kind of even. Considering the popularity of the recent Spider-Man games, and the Arkham series, it seems as if they're equal in many ways. Personally I'm for Batman games, because I'm a Batman fanboy, but I like me some Spider-Man too. I feel like I had more history with Batman games as well. I have played a few Spider-Man games, but none at the level of Arkham or the original NES game yet. Of course I haven't touched the new Spider-Man games, but I'm going to assume they're really good games. 😄

Survival is fine, but I can't get into any where I can't defend myself. I don't like that the only option is to run away and hide and wait for an opening. That's why I could never get into the Outlast series. I prefer a psychological twist, or premise. I just feel it works so much better in a horror game.

Most played game of all time for me, would probably be Call of Duty 4. Though, my brother and I played it, we amassed over 100,000 kills (we stuck with it after World at war came out) and had well over a month or so in playtime. Games that may come close to that, probably WWE Smackdown Here comes the pain, SMB3, Super Mario world, Black Ops, and a few others.

lol nice! I was oddly enough, thinking about Beavis & Butthead when I posted. Weird. lol But yeah, a nice selection of games. I saw a video of the Family Guy game, and it looks like a ton of fun, like Family Guy when it first became popular. 🙂

With the recent blunders by triple A studios these past 5-10 years or so has got me thinking. When are the triple A studios going to start losing out to the much smaller indie games and studios? I ask, because I feel that the gaming community is tired of all the scandals, the mishaps and the poor releases of recent memory, that games are going to start pushing for more rules with these bigger studios. I think people see these big studios like Activision, Ubisoft, EA, etc and they are tired of the same stuff released yearly. Especially when there are so many great games from smaller studios gaining popularity. Soon enough, I can see these smaller studios, gaining more traction. Of course, that also worries me, because who knows if those small studios grow up to be one of those triple A studios. Look at CD Project Red, weren't they a small studio, and then Witcher 3 came along and they blew up in popularity. What do you think though?

Oftentimes I find early access to be a lot cheaper then waiting for the full release, but the problem there, is that you're stuck with this game until updates are made. And there's a chance you could play the full game, and lose your save at some point, or you get stuck on game breaking glitch and have to restart *cough* Layers of fear *cough*. So, I've decided to never get an early access game, or buy into it right away. I've been screwed over too many times with early access releases, so I'm going to wait until full release for future games from now on. But what is your preference? Are you cool paying less to get a half finished game? I understand the point is to help development and such, and that's totally cool. But for me, I want to be able to play the game when I buy it, so if it's not finished, I'll simply skip early access and just wait.

Has anyone heard of Resident Evil Re:Verse? It's supposedly coming out for free with RE Village, but I do wonder if this game will be released outside of the Village release. Essentially, it's like a multiplayer game where you face off against characters from RE history. I don't know if it's something I'd get, but I'm sure some people are into it.

This game looks appealing. It's supposed to be a survival game that takes place in the winter. I'm kind of played out on the survival stuff, but this looks interesting to me. Check out the trailer below, but it sadly doesn't show a whole lot. But, I love winter settings in games, so I'm interested in checking it out.
