  1. Pretty much everything. Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and I think even on the Switch. But I believe it's also works through mobile. Yeah it's kind of similar to Jackbox. And yes, the voice recognition is really poor. Watch this video of Funhaus playing it. There's a few times they say something that comes out complete gibberish and it still get the answer correct. As well, the creators of the game sponsored this video lol.
  2. I do enjoy some online games, but only when they're with friends and I'm in a private party. Otherwise I don't play. As well, any games that require voice, I don't do anymore. So stuff like Among Us. My other reasons would be because the online community is often toxic and not worth the time.
  3. That's gaming for you. I knew a kid who would always join forums as videogameking or something, and he would always proclaim he was the best, and I think he genuinely thought he was the best. But he'd bitch and moan whenever he'd lose saying he was better than that, or that he just wasn't "feeling it". But yeah, you're always going to get those people. I wouldn't say I quit a game outright because of someone better than me, but I have quit lobbies and online matches when I encounter players I can't defeat. I will sometimes try my hardest, and still fail and if so I back the hell out of there so I don't have to deal with them anymore. Usually doing allows me to get back into some lobbies where I actually have a chance.
  4. Having multiple cameras gives you tons of options. Some may even be utilized to make 3D images and better shots. It gives you a lot of options for video and photography. If I'm not mistaken, I think most new phones on the market come with multiple cameras like this, some maybe even with 5. I think even the newer iPhones have like 4 cameras or something.
  5. I was actually going to say that when I started the topic, but forgot to lol. But yes, it reminds me of Black Mirror a lot.
  6. That's one I was thinking of, but forgot the title. I think that was one of the first on the 360 around the time kinect came out, right? I never played it though. I think I saw a video about Top Gun's voice options, but forgot who made it.
  7. Really depends on the game. If it's a story driven game, I often would like to see a continuation or a new storyline to go along with it. So DLCs are nice for that. But, DLCs can also add new clothing items, new weapons etc. Usually this stuff is paid for, unless it's free, which is sometimes the case. As for mods, those are more community based, though developers of the game can certainly add their own mods if they so desire. Mods tend to be free for the most part, but some places sell mods similarly like DLC. Mods also give you a lot more freedom, which is what I like, as you can add new textures, maps, items, characters, character models, etc. So much can be done. But with DLC, there's probably rules they have to follow, especially if it's being listed for sale in a marketplace.
  8. That's the one I was thinking of, but couldn't remember the name. Thanks! 😄 I used to do that myself, but I like having an app where I can also mark off what games I'm playing. And I like the idea of having a list on my phone for easier access on the go.
  9. On top of the price jump, they didn't include anything new. XBL gold to be honest, is fairly pointless at this time, especially with Game pass Ultimate, which gets you gold in the first place. But, I dig that they actually responded a day later and went back on their error. That's refreshing these days, especially as of late.
  10. Has anyone here played this one yet? I hear it's pretty much available on everything right now, and uses actual clips from episodes of Jeopardy. I watched a video of Funhaus playing it, and it works on voice. It sounds like it's be a chaotic bit of fun. Check the trailer out below: I think I may have to get some of my friends to check this one out. I think it adds clips from the shows history, so that's going to be a ton of content.
  11. Does anyone remember PlayStation Underground? It didn't know it originated as a magazine before it turned into PlayStation's Fan Club. I remember years ago I was a member of the fan club, even got a certificate for joining and got a nice little carrying case that came with a PS pen and other stuff. Sadly the pen was stolen from me when I was in the bathroom during school. Thankfully I still have the case with paper in it. It also had sports for memory cards and discs. But yeah, does anyone remember this? They would often send you demo discs as well through the mail. I wonder if I still have my certificate and the card I got with it. Need to go searching I guess.
  12. I mean, we already have the razer brand of phones out there, and those are great for gaming. But I think we're kind of due for a new gaming/phone hybrid device. Think the ngage for example, but much better I would imagine. I would kind of welcome new phones on the market that were more geared towards games, and maybe even took small carts. What do you guys think? I know it's probably never going to happen, but I think it'd be cool to see one of the big console companies trying to make a hybrid smartphone gaming device. 😄
  13. This is interesting news. Valve is working on new tech, that could immerse you in a video game even more. According to Independent, Gabe Newell says the tech will make the real world seem flat, colorless and blurry in comparison. Supposedly, it's going to be a way to connect peoples brains to computers. They're working on it now, and it sounds like it'll be an open-source project, which means anyone can use it, change it, add to it, etc. What do you think? If we're connected through our brains, do you think this could alter things and cause problems? I'm excited, but also scared it wouldn't work right.
  14. What are some of the good Mario clones/copycat style games out there? I know there are all kinds of different Mario clones out there, I bet there was a ton of them on the NES alone, and the SNES. One game that comes to mind is Kid Chameleon, shares some similarities with SMB. Also that bible game Noah's Ark was a mario clone, just for the lord lol. Little Nemo Dream Master is another. Plus, I'd count all of those fake flash games that came out. Most of them were just Mario games made by fans, but there was some flash games that had similar gameplay but differing characters. I would add sonic, but he, if anything, re-invented the side scroller. Anyway, what are some of the best?
  15. MS for sure won't offer such an option, but a guy can dream. The newest dashboard slows things down a lot. That's why I think being able to install old dashboards, could help speed the console up a bit more. Because I remember the blades dashboard and it was fast and right to the point. The newer dashboards slowed the console down a lot. I mean, when I go to my games tab, it takes ages to load. I feel that could be sorted if they released an old dashboard. But yeah, MS won't ever do that.
  16. I am thinking about maybe modding my old 360, as I don't know if I will be using it anytime soon. I figure I could utilize it to mod it to use emulators and such. I still want to use it to play 360 games maybe. I just won't be able to put the console online again, as MS could ban it. I wouldn't mind even installing a small operating system on it. That'd be interesting to see. But with the 360's 512mb or RAM, you can't do a whole lot of anything though. So emulation may be my only use. Any suggestions?
  17. What are some of the good services that I can use to catalog the games I have? Maybe even list what games I'm playing and so on. I know there are sites that let you catalog your games, but what are the best ones out there currently? Do you guys have any suggestions for ones I should sign up to? I just want something that's easy to search with, has pretty much every game imaginable in their databases, and so on. I would like to have features that share rarity of the game as well, and maybe what it's estimated to be worth.
  18. What are some weird TV show games you remember playing? I'm speaking of games based off of tv shows, ones that normally shouldn't have a game. I'm thinking of games like that Duck Dynasty game, CSI, and a few others I imagine. Do you guys remember any of these shows? Like that Duck Dynasty game for example, it's so weird that they made a game based on the show. It was of course made by Activision too, and they're known for making licensed games (they did a walking dead game that was really bad). And I remember games for CSI (Crime Scene Investigation), Law and Order, Pimp My Ride even had its own game. List some that you can remember. 😄
  19. What are some games that utilize voice? Games like Phasmophobia and In Silence got me wondering about voice themed games, where you use your voice to achieve a goal. But, I'm mainly looking for retro games that had voice options. I remember on the 360 there was a game you could play using voice controls. I think it was that Halo RTS that came out, but I forget. I know the Famicom in Japan had a controller with a mic that could be used in some games. But what are some obscure games that worked with your voice? I am drawing a blank on any other games.
  20. It depends on my mood, and how much work I have. If I have a lot of work during the week, I tend to not game a whole lot. I just sometimes don't feel like games are needed. There are times where I don't game for a week or two. It's become a thing with me. I will play a game for a few hours, and then I don't play anything for days to come. I often find I watch more tv or movies than I game lately. I've played Cyberpunk 2077 a week ago, maybe nearing 2 weeks now. But I just played a game called Donut County last night. Now I don't know what I'm going to play. I may jump onto some Cyberpunk soon, or maybe even wait to play until that Medium game comes out on the 28th. 🙂
  21. For sure. I could see it being more acceptable if the screen was maybe on the passenger's dash instead of in the middle. The middle dash should have stuff for just the car, and the passengers can be the only ones who have screens. The only screen a driver will see, is the front and back cameras on the car. 😄 Or that's how it should be. As well, when a car is driving, maybe they can input a security measure where games don't work in the middle dash, and will only work with the back seats and the passenger screen.
  22. Beats were always more about being designer headphones, more about style. I haven't owned any myself, but from what I hear, they're a tad bit over-rated, or more so, over-priced. I prefer something from sennheiser, but could do without their extremely long chords. I hear Beats have good bass and sound quality, but there are supposedly alternatives that are much cheaper and have same or better sound quality. I was never a fan of designer headphones, as they promoted a brand/style over the actual usage. Which is also why I don't like skullcandy or other designer brands. Sadly I have to disagree. I got myself a pair a while back, and the audio is passable at best imo. I blame it on all the YouTubers who got me all interested in checking them out. I should have watched a few reviews first (ones not promoted by someone), because if I did, I would have saved myself some money and went for a cheaper pair from Amazon or something, or searched for a better alternative. I hear you can even get a pair of wired earbuds for like $15-$20 that have better or equal sound quality to them. I do like their design, case, long battery life, how they fit in my ears, they don't fall out, and other features, but for $80 (less if you do a promo code, usually 15% off) it's not really worth it. If I had to charge for these earbuds, I don't think I'd pay more than $40 for them, maybe $50 tops. And even then I think it'd be a bit too much considering what all else is on the market. I hear their higher priced earbuds and heaphones suffer from the same problems as well. 😞 I'm on the lookout for a new pair of wireless earbuds, but I am leaning more towards getting a pair of wired headphones instead, as bluetooth takes away from the quality of music, and I figure for music, I want to go wired at least. I can probably use my raycons if I want to watch YouTube or listen on to a meeting or something.
  23. Too many to go through, but two big games I can remember are Borderlands 3 and Control. I got Borderlands 3 like early 2020 and haven't touched it yet. And Control I got on sale during a holiday sale and haven't played it either. I installed it though, so it's there waiting for me to play. 😄
  24. It's also available in ROM form, and likely digital. A lot of these developers still sell the games digitally, or in ROM form so you can play it on an emulator for example. It's also not a licensed game, so it can't be released on the Switch. I mean, they could get it licensed I imagine, if they wanted to. Nostalgia. Some people like the idea of working on old hardware and making games under said limitations. There is also a market of gamers who like to buy rom hacks/mods, and even custom made games on older hardware. It keeps that nostalgia alive, along with those old consoles.
  25. There's an article from Spectrum IEEE that talks about new cars that are capable of allowing the passengers to play video games on the dashboard screen. It seems Tesla wants to offer such things. Of course there are safety measures in place, where you're not able to game while driving. But they also mention that Tesla wants to work out a way where the steering wheel of the car, would work in the game. Do you like the idea of being able to play games in a car? I think it's cool and all, but they do mention that the wheels move if you use the steering wheel in a game. So there's potential that when you do go to drive, you may forget the position the tires were in and could crash into a car or pedestrian. So there is risk with it. And with how stupid people can be with cars, there will be a lot of accidents because of this. What are your thoughts?
