In a bit of weird news, Elon Musk has stated that the Tesla Model S can play Cyberpunk 2077. Not sure I think that's impressive. Considering I'm sure anyone could modify their car to put a dashboard PC in there. Elon Musk showed an image of a screen in the middle of the car, right next to the steering wheel. It looks dope as hell, but honestly, very dangerous. I hope this works only when the car is parked. The steering wheel looks like it's made for a gamer. A comment on n4g said it best I think. If you could spend a day as any video game character?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
That's really tough. Most of my favorite protagonists in games are hitmen or GTA characters/RDR characters. I don't think I'd want to be any of them, as I can't imagine their life would be all that fun, with doing crime and stuffs. Maybe I'd be someone like Sonic so I can go super fast. Maybe I'd go as Arkham Knights Batman, being able to fly over the city as Batman, taking down thugs, might be a ton of fun! 😄 -
I just had an idea, they should do an HD Remake of the original Driver and Driver 2. Maybe even remaster Driver 3 and fix all the problems it had lol. I'd love to see that happen honestly.

Just started playing The Medium. Game is really good. I am genuinely surprised with the atmosphere, graphics and gameplay. I like that they went back to the old Silent Hill/RE style fixed camera. It really adds to fear factor.

I haven't actually played this yet. Do you guys know if it's free to play, or if you have to buy it? I just hope my phone can run it. First I need to make some space.

Idk, I feel like they tried to be a lot more campy, more in line with previous GTA titles like, III, Vice City and San Andreas, at least in regards to the first one. I wouldn't even go as far as to say it's a blatant ripoff though, as the story is completely different, along with the gameplay, graphics and tone. A ripoff would be something that copies nearly everything the other game does. I see the inspiration, because that's very clear, but a ripoff, I just don't see it.

Last cheater I remember, was back in Call of Duty: WWII. There was a glitch some guy got into and was able to camp a bit above map in an area that no one else could get to. Anyway, I took video of him killing me, and sent it to MS. 😄 I think that was the last time I remember.

I don't think it's controversial. The game was known to be the step brother of GTA, as they tried so hard to copy them. The controls are a bit outdated these days, and had some dumb missions. I think most of it was as intended. Because if I remember, the character models were laughable. And the series gradually gets more crazy.

How much direction do you want a game to give you?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I just need enough direction to get an idea of what the game is and how it works. I don't like when it's too much in depth. Just give me the tools, the controls, and point me where to go to start and I think it's usually good from there. -
I don't know if they outright replaced it, but they moved development to WD instead. There is always a chance they could revive it with a new team behind it. I always thought the graphics looked great too. But I continue to have those feelings about newer games, and those are starting to get outdated graphics wise too. lol.

I believe I was around 3 when I started playing. I don't remember officially what I played, but I think it was SMB3. I just know, because my mom and sister told me they got me into games early on. The first game that I owned and played was the first TMNT game. 😄

What are some of the platforms/consoles that were made by the most random of companies? I want things from companies that don't even have anything to do with video games originally, maybe they produced other products, and decided to jump into the gaming world. I'm curious to know, as I imagine there's a lot of companies that did this. As Nintendo, originally made playing cards and I think they made toys.

For those who don't know, Amazon actually has their own gaming branch that makes their own games. So far they haven't found a hit yet. They have the money to get something going though, so I can see them eventually finding a hit that they can call their own. What do you guys think though? Does Amazon have a chance of making a quality game? One that can become a classic, or even well regarded? I would like to see what they have in store for the future. I just hope they can find a hit soon. Anyway, I wanted to discuss this, as I read an article here about Amazon and how they haven't had a hit yet. It's from Bloomberg. I think Amazon can produce something good, it just needs to make something unique and fresh, and I don't know if they can do that. We shall see.

This is a bit of interesting news, IGN has reported here - IGN about Sony filing a patent where spectators can mess with you while you're playing in VR. This could add more options to VR games, if there is a possible human threat to worry about. It more so looks like something you can use to vote for other players, but also be in the same room, if that makes sense? Either way, it's an interesting patent that I'd like to see implemented with VR one of these days. Here's an image of the patent from IGN.

I only played a bit of the first game, but always wanted to jump back in and also play the second. Do you guys think they will ever make a 3rd game in the series? I'd for sure welcome a new game in the series, might push me to finally catch up. 😄 Anyway, who here is a fan of these games? Do you hope they finally make a 3rd? I think it's due time for a new game.

There are rumors going around, stating that Microsoft are interested in buying more developers/studios, similar to what happened with their purchase of Zenimax, which got them Bethesda. There are currently no details on what companies they're interested in, but I do wonder if it's something big like Bethesda. Who do you think it could be? Who do you hope it's not? You can read about this news here - GameRant My prediction, as crazy as it is, maybe they're going to try buying up Take Two, owners of Rockstar Games. Reason why, is because I heard news that Tencent was interested in buying Take-Two, so much in fact, that they were raising billions in order to be able to takeover the company, which you can read more about here - https://segmentnext.com/2021/01/25/tencent-billions-acquisition/ I really hope neither of that happens though, as I would prefer most of these studios to stay put, as well I don't want just one console to get all of Rockstar and 2K's games. That'd be crazy. But, something like this could still happen, and it worries me. What do you guys think?

Anyone here remember Okami? It was a beautiful game, that I don't understand doesn't get more praise these days. It came out on the PS2 and I think the Gamecube maybe? I forget, but either way, the game was stunning visually and got rave reviews because of it. I sadly only played it for about a weekend, as my friend brought it over one time and we played it all throughout the weekend. With that being said, I wish we had more games like this, that utilize art as a tool.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Maybe the way Mortal Kombat was hated by politicians and parental groups, but looking back, the content was relatively tame compared to today's standards. Oh, the big one that I can recall now, is Night Trap. That game where you have to trap masked vampires or something. It was a weird game, and people thought it was literally porn or a snuff film. It was far from that. It was more a corny interactive movie than anything else.

Do kids tend to play terrible video games? I saw an article from Cnet here written by a father who's son wanted terrible games for Christmas. On the list was, Among Us (not too bad, as he even states that) and the rest were Roblox (lol) and some mobile game called Zooba. He then goes on to mention Goat Simulator, which I'm all too familiar with. In fact, my nephew was addicted to it for the longest time lol. He was also into Roblox and Among us. But, he's gradually getting into better games these days. 😄 I agree with him this writer though. Kids these days have really bad taste in video games, and like he said in the article, it could be because of popular kids youtubers who showcase these types of games. Hell, it's probably why the majority of these games are selling to this day. If no one was doing videos on Roblox, I bet no one would really be playing it. Or it wouldn't be at the level it currently is. As a kid, I played what I had, which was the good stuff. But kids these days, are more interested in flashy nonsense.

With Hitman III having a VR mode on the PS VR, it got me thinking, what other games do you think could benefit from having some kind of VR mode? I'm surprised GTA V hasn't officially jumped at VR, considering they have first person. But what are some other games, that you'd like to see get VR support? Doesn't Skyrim have a VR option now? I forget. I'd like to see VR support for just about every game out there. 😄

Finally some bit of good news in regards to Cyberpunk 2077. The game now supports modding. Modding tools were released by CDPR, so that gamers can alter their game the way they want to. I don't know how this will work with people making their own mods, but I am excited to see what people deliver. You can read about this news here - The Verge

what problems do u have when u game too long
Kane99 replied to TheSteelyardDweller's topic in Gaming Forum
There are times where I start to get groggy and start feeling sick if I stay in one spot for too long, especially when it comes to gaming. I will oftentimes slouch on my couch as well, and that starts to mess up my back too. I don't usually stick in one spot for too long though because of that. When I start to feel it, I get up and move around. Or I take a break for an hour or two to recover. There's the usual tiredness, but that's a given when you game for long hours. -
how many games u have gotten thru free codes
Kane99 replied to TheSteelyardDweller's topic in Gaming Forum
I can't say I got many digital codes for free. I've gotten a few over the years, but not a high level. I mostly got my digital games from the humble bundle, but I wouldn't count that as you're paying for that. But yeah, I've gotten some codes for free. Won a code for some PC game years ago, redeemed it, but never played it lol. -
Depends on the game and the child, as well as their age I imagine. Some kids are more mature for their age, and understand what they're playing. So if they play a violent game, they know right from wrong in real life. But, that still doesn't mean they should be playing anything like GTA or Hitman. I'd say we should utilize the ESRB as it was intended and let kids play E-T rated games. I think teen rated games are fairly tame anyway, so I see no problem for even younger kids to play them. I view it the same to PG-13 movies. Like I doubt kids under 13 are going to have a problem with watching it. I look at superhero films in that regard, as little kids don't seem to have a problem watching them. I started gaming around 3-4 years old as well, I probably didn't know half of what I was playing back then. Then again, I didn't get a taste of my first M rated game, until PS1 with Tenchu I think it was.

Oh for sure. Gaming for long hours is essentially the same as watching TV for long hours. Same sitting in the same spot for hours on end. etc. Poor health, poor blood circulation, etc. This could be solved by getting up every couple hours to stretch, move around, get your body moving more. Like taking a break for a little bit.
