Bethesda is Making an Indiana Jones Game with Wolfenstein Developer.
Kane99 replied to Shagger's topic in Gaming News
I have a feeling it'll be more like a Tomb Raider or Uncharted game. Maybe 3rd person. I don't see it being on the same engine as Skyrim or Fallout. -
DOS Gaming has the breaking news on a free 2.4 GB mod for Minecraft, that adds high-quality 2K textures. It seems other HD texture packs require payment, and this is just a free alternative to those who want something for free. The graphics do look quite nice. You can read more at the link below. https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/this-2-4gb-mod-for-minecraft-adds-high-quality-2k-textures-for-free/ You can also watch a video of it in action below: https://youtu.be/rgixaJrqN2o

So this game franchise has been around for 5 or more years by now, and I don't understand why it's so popular. Can anyone explain it to me? I saw gameplay of it, and all it looks like is a jump scare game. I get the point of the game, but I just can't see people being into it. I could see myself getting very bored playing this game. And the series has like a million games already, and it seems to keep going with spin-offs and other things. Next thing ya know, they're going to make a feature length movie version. Anyway, can you explain to me why it's so liked?

You know in games, when you take out an enemy and you go over to them to search them? Then you collect everything they have on them. Do you just collect everything they got? Or are you more selective and leave the junk behind? I tend to take pretty much everything on them, even the junk items. I find that in Cyberpunk 2077 I do this often, and I am often disassembling items to make more space in my inventory. Doing so though, gains me components and other things I can use to do crafting, so it works out in the end. Anyway, what is your preference? Do you take it all, or pick and choose what you want? This can go for chests, items found in the world, etc.

I feel like I hear something new about Destiny 2 every week. Is it still popular today? I haven't played any of the games, aside from the beta for the first game. I knew Destiny 2 took over and became a hit, but I can't believe it's still popular it seems. Do you think a Destiny 3 is in the works? I haven't heard anything about one, but I imagine they got something cookin.

Bethesda is Making an Indiana Jones Game with Wolfenstein Developer.
Kane99 replied to Shagger's topic in Gaming News
Why not? I don't recall the last time we had a good Indiana Jones game, and I wouldn't mind visiting that world in game form. Here's the trailer. Hopefully Harrison Ford does the voice over work. But I doubt that. -
For sure, GTA V would be wonders if you could mod the single player mode at least. It won't hurt anything, and considering the game is 7 years old already, I don't think it really matters. Skyrim remastered does have some mods on consoles, but I don't think it can use all of them. RDR2 would be nice too, as I would love to mess around with some crazy mods.

Lets guess what GTA VI will be about, setting, protagonist, etc
Kane99 replied to Kane99's topic in Video Games
I would like for them to bring the weight/muscle options back as well. I wouldn't mind making my guy fat, and then transform him into healthier person lol. 😄 I heard it may be a female protagonist as well. I'm down with that. All for changing it up a bit. Unless they're going to go the route of letting you choose a male or female main character, each with their own voiced storylines. Kind of what Cyberpunk 2077 did. Maybe, idk. I could see them trying to do the multiple protagonists thing again, but idk if they really need to. As for first mission, it can be anything. It's not like we're following a connecting storyline. Each new game in the series, mostly showcased new players anyway, so it will probably start off with a heist, a prison break, or someone coming to Vice City to make it rich. Anything is possible with Rockstar. I'm excited to see what they have in store for us. -

I think it should qualify for the 2021 awards since it came out late, but even so. I don't think it deserves a win for best game. I think for 2020, that's probably going to go to that game Hades or The Last of US 2. For 2021, it's wide open. I'm sure there's going to be a slew of great games to compete with Cyberpunk 2077.

If you had to give up video games or movies, which would you pick?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
As tough as this is going to be for me to say, I think I would stick with movies. I love games, and would probably never be able to live without them, but I think movies are something I could always go back to and enjoy. There's also a wider array of movies to enjoy than there are video games In reality, I wouldn't be able to give up either of them. -
Just a curious question. Does the camera for the PS4, work with the PS5? My cousin is getting a used PS4 from a friend, and he wants to know if the camera for it, would work on the PS5 whenever he gets one.

I got myself a HyberX keyboard currently and love it. It works wonders for gaming and work related stuff. But, I want to get my hands on other HyperX products, like their mice and maybe one of their headsets for gaming. Do you guys recommend HyperX products? If so, what is your favorite HyperX product.

Remember the Google Glass? It was a wearable tech item you could use as glasses, and you could navigate the web, make calls, and do other stuff. Sadly, Google stopped production and moved on from it years ago. In that time it was around for though, do you guys remember if we got any games for it? Were any good? I'm going to suspect it didn't have any games, or if it did, it didn't have a lot. Anyway, did anyone here own a pair of the Google Glasses? Did they work well? Do you think Google will ever release a new pair?

Mike Tyson was talking on a recent podcast and mentioned he would love to make a new Punch-Out game with Nintendo. There's no news on whether this will actually happen. My guess is no, because of Tyson's past history, including his past behavior and actions. As well, Nintendo already moved on and made other Punch-Out games without Tyson. You can read more about this news here - Nintendo Link Do you think Nintendo would ever do another Mike Tyson's Punch Out? Or, maybe they will go a completely different direction, and go with another popular boxer, maybe one still fighting. What do you guys think?

Android v iOS for gaming - which do you think is better?
Kane99 replied to DudeThatsErin's topic in Mobile
It sucks, but it's happening for android phones as well. I know some Samsung phones don't have a headphone jack anymore. It's just stupid, because it requires you to have a connection to make it work. Apple is removing the charger as well? Makes no sense to me. When someone pays thousands for a new phone, it should come with a charging cable and everything else. It just makes these companies look even greedier imo. -
Instead of tough games, or games where you die a lot, maybe find a game you two can play that doesn't requite much thought or doesn't require too much work to get through. I think the game Journey on the PS4 I think it is, would be a good option to play. I never played it, but I hear it's quite soothing to play. There, try to find games you think could relax her.

One game I remembered playing as a kid and liking was the Rugrats PS1 game. It's probably not good by today's standards, but I really enjoyed it as a kid. Played a few of those games. They're good for some mindless fun for a bit, but get boring after a while.

What has surprised you the most about gamers since becoming one?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
I wouldn't say it was a surprise, but how toxic gamers can be. Back in the day before I had online play for games, I argued with my friends. And to this day, I still do that. But with an online chat room for a game, it's a chaotic mess of yelling, annoying 12 year olds, and your momma jokes. My surprise is how hateful some people can be just because of video games. It's as if, some people take them way too seriously, and it's how we get problems. Just look at comment sections on popular games these days. -
At what point does a developer lose its identity?
Kane99 replied to StaceyPowers's topic in Gaming Forum
Also, one other thing I wanted to mention, was money. Some studios let the money get to them, and therefore I feel as if some studios lose focus of what they really want to do, and that's make games, but some want to do it just to make money. -
At least not yet, but I suspect it'll be happening soon. My guess though, is that some games already priced that low, or are free won't be affected. But I could be wrong. As well, it could be that the game was on sale, which I imagine could go below $1.99 sometimes.

Did some of your favorites make the list? Maybe some of them you don't like? Most of the games on this list aren't bad, just divided fan bases.

I can't say I knew about this, but I could see Microsoft doing this to learn how the PS2 worked, and how their Xbox would be able to compete. This sort of thing is probably done by many companies, especially competitors to see what their doing differently. It makes me wonder if MS did this with the PS3 or PS4. But I doubt it after they figured their system down. Read more on this news here - GameRant

This is the image I saw a while back where there are a bunch of ideas they had for logos when it came to the PlayStation branding. Check it out below. Would you have went with one of the others? I'm glad they went with their final design though, looks a lot better imo.

What are some of the games you can be the star of? Maybe it's based off of an avatar you make, but I'm speaking more towards the actual you, as in an image of your, or a recording of you. I can see a lot of games on Kinect and other camera accessory games doing this, but what are some of the really good ones?
