According to Nintendo Everything, Nintendo has made a new rules, that games on their eShop marketplace, can't go below $1.99. Supposedly it's a way to curb the problem for crap games getting on the marketplace, getting a ton of downloads and getting to the front of the top downloads lists. What do you guys think of this?

I think it's when the studio starts to lose the founding members, or the people who started off there. So many companies out there are run by new sets of people. I mean, look at how Atari turned out. It's been sold off to so many companies/people, that it's not the same Atari anymore. It's not even Atari as we knew it, it's just a company using the name for nostalgia. But that's why I mention it, because when yous ell off a studio, I think that's when you lose your main identity. But once all of the people involved from the start are gone, I think that's why it's safe to say that's when they lose their identity.

The majority of the problem lies with the publishers and studio heads I think. Just look at EA's history. They are known for destroying a studio. And with Ubisoft, Rockstar, CDPR and other studios pushing crunch on their developers to push a game out faster or on their release date. So many publishers are pushing devs to make the release dates, and that's what hurts them for the most part. I wish studios did what movies do, where they show the trailer months before it is to come to theaters. Maybe it should be this way for the game industry, games should be announced when they're nearly ready to release. Maybe it's this early teasing that causes these types of problems. Idk, I just feel like publishers need to trust their developers and let them take as much time as they need to make the product they want. Otherwise, this will continue to be a problem in the industry.

I think it's the opposite for me. I've found that I used to play games a lot more as a kid, and there's a big reason for that. I didn't have to work or have many responsibilities. So I remember played GTA Vice City, San Andreas and other games for hours on end day by day sometimes. These days I game far less, but I will sometimes catch myself gaming for hours on end still.

I can't say I remember being killed many times in any cutscenes. I think maybe the closest I can think, is when I get attacked in mid conversation, like in Fallout 4 or Cyberpunk 2077. Also, this has nothing to do with the topic, but it got me thinking about Assassin's Creed and how when you assassinate a main target, it shows a cutscene of you killing that person and speaking to them. Which always kind of took me out of the game, because sometimes when you do an assassination, you're surrounded by other enemies, and it just stops it all. idk, weird thing to bring up, but it reminded me of that lol.

Most likely a GTA game for me, probably San Andreas or Vice City. But it's close with Red Dead Redemption, as I seem to always come back to that game fairly often. Just played the Undead Nightmare this last Halloween. Other than that, maybe a couple of the Saint's Row games.

There are a lot of upcoming games, and it got me thinking about the esporting scene a bit. I imagine there are a lot of competitive games in the works and coming out soon. What games do you foresee becoming the next big esports hits?

Looks like someone is attempting to remake the classic Tomb Raider 2, with the help of Unreal Engine 4, Nicobass is re-making Tomb Raider 2 in glorious HD and upgraded graphics and visuals. Does anyone here know of a way to make a custom built handheld, but with a raspberry pi device? I would like to start the process of building one, but don't know where to begin. I saw some tutorials on YouTube and at some sites, but I want a step by step guide with all the tools in one place. I know I need to get a lot of stuff before I can make it happen, but I already have a raspberry pi I can use. Just need a guide and a list for the other parts I'd need. Any suggestions?

I know the PS3 is probably a bit outdated to go for, but I wouldn't mind owning the original released PS3, that was backwards compatible with PS2 and PS1 games. I figure at least get that so I can replay PS2/PS1 games in updated graphics. I figure this way I can put my PS2 in the closet, and have one console for PS1, PS2 and PS3. And then I can finally get my hands on a PS4 and then PS5 down the road. I eventually want to get all PS consoles. I have the first two, just need the next 3 now lol. 😄 Anyway, what do you guys think? Is it worth getting the OG PS3? Or should I go for a newer model that doesn't have the backwards compatibility?

When Microsoft started to update the dashboard on the 360, it was cool at first, but gradually with each new dashboard update, it slowed the console down a ton. At least how I saw it. The original dashboard, also called titled "blades", was my all time favorite dashboard for the 360. If I could somehow install that old Dashboard to the console, I would for sure do it in a heartbeat, because it not only looked cool, it was so much faster than what it is at now. It's also why I don't ever turn my 360 on anymore, it's just so damn slow to boot up, load the dashboard and even get into your games list. This is why I think going back a few dashboards or back to the beginning, will help with loading the console a bit faster. What do you guys think? Wouldn't you want to go back to an old dashboard? I think that's the problem with new consoles, is that they change so much, that you forget what they used to be like to begin with.

I don't know anyone who is like that. My aunt didn't understand video games when I was a kid, but as I got older, she saw some of the games I played and how realistic they looked and she kind of took notice to that and thought it was pretty cool. Aside from that, I don't know anyone from my family or friends who hate playing games, or hate it when people do. I think we're at a point in this world, where the majority of people play video games. Hell, I could see in the next 10-20 years, everyone is going to be gaming.

Shouldn't be much longer. With more stores taking scalpers seriously and taking measures to stop them, I suspect shortages to stop fairly soon. But then again, who knows, scalpers always seem to find a way to screw people over. Either way, I'm not fussing over it, I'm not getting either new gen console until well over a year or two after release. I got my Xbox One in 2015, two years after it was already out. I suspect it will be the same for any new console. Unless I find work that pays me even more in the coming months.

The beauty about the internet, is that there are options to block people who are annoying or rude to you. I haven't talked to anyone in a game voice chat in years. I stick to the private voice chat, or don't even connect my mic most times. If I hear anyone complain about my skills, or start to talk crap, I just mute them. Makes me feel so good to just mute them. Then they can complain all the while I can't hear them. 😄

On linux I use a program called SimpleScreenRecorder. It is a lot more simpler to use and I think it's open source as well. Not sure if it works with Windows, but works wonders on Linux Ubuntu. 🙂

I prefer to play with friends or family. But I don't mind playing against some strangers. If I had to choose though, I'd for sure be more interested in playing with friends and family. With strangers they're unpredictable and often annoying.

Did you guys know, that some libraries will allow the community to rent movies, games and other media out as well? A few libraries near me used to rent out movies and some games, but I never took advantage of it. In fact, I haven't been to a library in years lol. But with that being said, I hear some libraries still rent out other media alongside books and magazines. Did you guys ever rent a game from a local library?

Do you guys remember of any kids only games that were actually good? And I'm speaking of games made for kids, like education games, or really kid friends stuff like Sesame Street, Blues Clues, or some other random kid property. Are there any kids games you'd play today? I honestly can't think of anything made just for children, or babies lol, that was any good. I think there was a Barbie game on the NES that was actually pretty good, but I forget.

I heard that there are programs or apps you can use to utilize one mouse/keyboard for two PCs at the same time. Where you can literally move your mouse from one PC to the other. Is that even possible? I heard of it, but I wasn't sure how it was done. I just want to be able to move my mouse between my main desktop and to my smaller tablet/laptop combo. Is there an app that can do that?

What are some of your favorite game show games? From Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, Jeopardy!, and many more. What are some of the Game Show themed games you enjoy playing? I'd say stuff like Wheel of Fortune is what I tend to get into, as I have a couple of them on the NES. But also Jeopardy, or anything trivia related. What would you guys say are your faves?

So this is why Xbox controllers still don't come with a built in rechargeable battery, according to Stealth Optional, Microsoft has a deal with Duracell, or according to the article "A constant agreement". Makes sense as they give you a set of AA Duracell batteries with each new console and controller. I wish they would at least include a playncharge kit along side it. Do you think this will change in the future?

Oh man, I remember Sonic 06. That game deserves the award for one of the worst all time I think. I never played the Spyro game or most of these games.

I will be honest, these rollable phones look a lot more practical than the folding phones in my opinion. And they look more fun to mess with. 😄

It's kind of lost its popularity as of late. I honestly don't think people would add it to any esporting events. At least not anytime soon. I just see the popularity decreasing in the coming months. Sad to see it, but I even am bored with the game.

They knowingly lied to consumers. They knew that the finished product was not a finished product (For last gen consoles) and still released it anyway. Only allowed the PC version to be reviewed, and had a blockage of review footage from being released until after the game released. They're making strides to fix things, but I think these lawsuits are fair, especially from the ones from investors and such, because this launch hurt them too.
