  1. Yeah it must be fine, as I got Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday and played it for a few hours. Played great. Didn't test a stream out, but I'm thinking of doing that tonight with some friends. So we shall see. 🙂
  2. Sure constant gaming can have a negative impact on your overall health. Just like any addiction. As for this Animal Crossing story, do you have proof of that, or are you just trolling us? And even so, that really isn't proof, it's just anecdotal.
  3. So I got Cyberpunk 2077 from a friend recently as a early Christmas gift and I want to stream it with said friends. My PC can stream and game at the same time, but I do worry that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a resource hog as it is, and it may cause some issues with streaming. What do you guys think? I plan on lowering down my settings to make sure it's not too overbearing though. 🙂
  4. The holidays are here and it got me thinking, we don't really see many games where Santa is the main character, actually I don't recall there ever being a game where you can be Santa. I think it'd be cool to see a game featuring Santa, but not in his setting. So maybe a Santa game where it's like GTA and open world. The purpose of the game is to deliver gifts, but you have to deal with all kinds of obstacles or something. Idk, I think it'd be funny to see more games featuring a character like Santa. What do you guys think? I bet Steam has some games featuring him as a playable character. 😄
  5. Is there a site I can check out to find upcoming tournaments around the US? I would't mind competing in some competitions if there happen to be any near me. I figure with the pandemic, there won't be any soon, but I'd like to find some resourced now to see if they're the right fit for me. I don't expect to win any tournaments, but I'd love to give them more of a try one of these days.
  6. Enter for a chance to win a PS5 from DailyBits and N4G. There is just 14 days left to enter, so a lot of time left. I think you can also get multiple entries a day, so your chances can increase. I already entered, so wish me luck. I wish you luck too! Enter below. Moderator Edit: I have edited the post to remove the link. The hidden URL (very naughty, Kane99) does not lead to a website hosted by DailyBits nor N4G. I'm not saying that this was a deliberate attempt by the op to deceive anyone, but until both the safety and legitimacy of this offer can be verified, I will not allow it to be displayed. Kane, pm me ASAP, until then, this topic is locked.
  7. Have you guys heard of this new streaming service? It's literally a copy of Twitch, but it's owned by Tencent. Which is a bad sign in some ways, but I am genuinely curious to see how it does against Twitch and other streaming platforms for gaming. I'm thinking I might try to stream on there, as Twitch isn't very open, or there's just too many people as it is. If you want, you can check the site out below. https://trovo.live/
  8. Yeah, it depends on what I'm playing. Most games I don't mind, but I'm sure there are a few games I don't like people watching. I don't like people watching me play anything that I set to easy mode. If I ever stream or have someone watch me play, I like to play with the difficulty up a bit to kind of show off lol.
  9. Here's a question I'd like to ask. What kind of games are we speaking of? Because if schools integrate video games, it would probably be more interactivity towards the learning. So think any educational video game out there. I don't think we'll see anything like schools playing Call of Duty Multiplayer or The Witcher. They would be educational games. If anything, I imagine schools going into the VR direction, because there's so much that can be done with it. You could do 3D modeling, graphic design, video editing, creating art/content, etc. You can also do virtual sightseeing and maybe even see virtual museums. If schools are 100% about integrating video games, it won't be for fun necessarily, that would be an added bonus, it would be about finding the most fun ways of teaching kids as possible.
  10. Yes, this! When you got a publisher shooting down demands all day, you're not going to be able to make the game you envisioned. But, with an indie produced game, it's between you and those devs to focus on making the best game they can make. But, when you have overbearing publishers, who want a different vision, it's not going to be a great time.
  11. Eventually, I think SSDs and hard drive need to come down in price, especially with how big games have become. I think it's due time for a price decrease. 😄 But that won't happen. The new consoles storage is going to be eaten up way too fast. They each should have came with a 2tb drive at the least I think. Hell, lets go as big as 5tb.
  12. Oh yeah that's a given. EA needs to let these studios work on something completely new and fresh. I don't know how many times I've witnessed the same types of animations over the years when it comes to Madden. I just want to see them try to make something fresh, from scratch, on new engines, with updated control schemes and more. Not really what we're talking about lol. The Madden curse hasn't been a thing for quite a while now. 😄
  13. The new Madden NFL 21 is not what fans were hoping, especially the new gen version, which promised to bring some new additions, but, after watching some videos online, I feel that it's just the same exact game, with changes here and there. Is it time for EA to give up the license to the NFL and let someone competent take it on? I mean, the last time Madden was different, feels like back in 2010 or something. With each new game, I see the same animations. Sometimes they even take out stuff from previous games. I don't think EA will change anything, because they always have to have the yearly releases. But if they skipped a year or two, I don't think people would take too much notice to it. As well, wouldn't it be cool to get a whole new updated football game? It's time EA, we're in the new gen, and it's time to adapt and change Madden for the better. Or, EA could allow some other studios to try their hand, but I'm dreamin!
  14. This game most certainly better be epic when it is going to run you well over 300GB in storage. Medal of Honor: Above And Beyond is coming out soon, and it's in glorious VR. With that brings some hurdles, in that the new game will require 340GB of space in order to install. Now, imaging how big that will be with a likely day one patch? Or other additional patches? This game is going to eventually take over the SSD. Read more about this news here - GameSpot
  15. So the Xbox One has a feature that you can hook another HDMI connected device to it, and you can then utilize that device right on the Xbox itself. So, technically, someone could have played their PS4 on their Xbox One if they so desired. Anyway, has anyone here tried to do this? I actually hooked up my 360 to it years ago, just to see how it would work, and plus the game I was playing wasn't backwards compatible with the Xbox One. What other HDMI connected devices did you connect to your Xbox One?
  16. For those wondering, Triple A, refers to games made by bigger studios. So think Call of Duty, The Witcher, Grand Theft Auto, Assassin's Creed, etc. These games would be considered Triple A titles, since they're all made by massive companies. But, are there any indie games out there, that have that Triple A feel to it? Like, it may feel like a game made by bigger studios, but in reality, they're made by a small team or something. Are there any indie games that come close to that regard, and are good or even better than some AAA titles? I've love to give indie games more of a chance these days, as the triple AAA games tend to sometimes be broken messes at release. *Cough* Fallout 76 *Cough*, for example.
  17. I'm kind of played out when it comes to open world games. For me, I'm just tired of all of these open world games, that don't usually change anything up. With cyberpunk 2077 coming out in just two days, it got me thinking, why not more linear games anymore these days? I could be happy with open world games, it's just that none of them seem to change the formula enough to make it interesting. And that's why I like to go for linear games, because they're right to the point, don't require you to drive to a location before starting a mission, and there's no annoying filler content that takes ages to get through. Sometimes I like a linear storyline, and I'm good. Hell, the majority of open world games, are too open, and when you finish them, they feel empty because there's nothing to do. So imo, it's sometimes kind of pointless to have a massive world, and nothing to really do in it when you beat the game. I feel this way about most of the Assassin Creed games, mainly because I finish the game, all the side quests, etc, and all that are left are boring collectibles. Or sometimes I even collect all of those, but then what. idk, maybe I'm just ranting for the sake of ranting lol. Anyway, would you like to see some more linear games coming out?
  18. Syphon Filter baby! I don't recall the last time they made a new game in the series. Maybe for the PS3 at the latest, but I don't recall seeing anything for the PS4. I remember playing the first game's demo, and loving it so much. Sadly, I never got to play the full game, I still would like to see a comeback in the series.
  19. Yeah, scalpers piss me off, as they're just doing it to make a quick buck, and in reality, don't care about the people they're selling to. There are many people trying to get these new consoles, but these scalpers have to make it harder on everyone, as they think they can swindle a bunch of people. It's quite annoying and I hope stores start to implement some kind of measure. Ebay and Amazon at the very least should be removing these high priced listings. I think some stores are doing exactly this. It needs to start happening everywhere though, as it's every new gaming device that gets this treatment, and it's annoying to me. I want to get one of those Game and Watch consoles from Nintendo, but at most places it's overpriced. Nintendo at the very least are producing more, so it should stop the scalpers a bit. But I doubt it'll stop em outright. 😞 But a captcha thing, or something that limits them, would be quite helpful right now.
  20. It's inevitable that it's the next addition to VR. Isn't Microsoft making the Hololens? Which is an augmented reality headset? I remember it was a big thing with Minecraft a few years ago, but I haven't heard anything new from it in a while.
  21. Mostly just games like GTA 3 and Vice City. Before it, I maybe played RE2 on the PS1. But I forget what violent video games I played back then. I'd also add the demo for Metal Gear Solid on the list, as I played that demo like crazy back in the day. 😄
  22. Sure, I'd welcome more video games being used to help with education. If anything, it's probably already being done. You have online courses with educational aspects. And who's to say that video games have to be just for learning when played for educational purposes. Some games can be used to help with dexterity, eye sight and so on. As well, some games can be used in historical context (Call of Duty, Medal of Honor). Of course you have interactive learning tools all over the web as well, and some games that are made for schooling purposes.
  23. I guess Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) is getting a 15th Anniversary re-release on the PS4, physically that is. It was supposed to come out this November, but was delayed until Q1 of 2021. There is no news on whether or not it's coming out in the US though. But, since PS4 is open region, the game should also work in US PS4 consoles. So eventually I may get it if I ever get myself a PS4 or PS5 soon. Anyway, is anyone going to get this? I like Indigo Prophecy to some extent, but I don't know if it's a game I would replay anytime soon.
  24. These new gen consoles are being scalped like crazy lately. Around here, people have been waiting for more consoles to show up in stores. I hear a lot of scalpers are trying to buy up the newly released batches and it's bugging people out. Has anyone here purchased one of their PS5s from a scalper? Scalpers these days are using bots like crazy to get their buys in first. I think it's to the point where some sites have to limit the amount of consoles one person can get, or the amount that can be sold within a certain time frame. Here's hoping stores are catching on to this and are blocking more of these annoying scalpers. I'm waiting to buy my consoles, but I suspect scalpers will keep doing this nonsense. So please, don't buy from them. If you can, be patient otherwise, because you won't want to give your extra money to these annoying scalpers.
  25. Super Mario Bros. 35 seems to be hugely popular these days. For those wondering, it's the first SMB game, with some upgraded controls. You play 34 other players, who will run the same level as you. As you beat levels, you can go back and repeat the same one. The one who survives the longest, wins. Each time you kill an enemy, it gets added to other people playing. So if you're good, you can try to pin people in traps by sending certain enemies their way. It's quite fun. So it got me thinking, wouldn't it be cool if more retro games did this type of battle royale? Where multiple people start off with one level and whoever survives the longest, wins. I could see it done for Sonic, and any other side scrolling platformer. What games would you like to see get this battle royale treatment?
